As I waited I walked around and instantly saw something else I wanted. I approached the counter and the girl was nice to help me add it to my order, not an issue. She came back and continued explaining that they did not have change, even though I had already made it clear several times that I did not want any change back. First, how does a cash-based business not have change available? Second, why turn away a customer who is offering slightly more than the total and explicitly saying to keep the difference? What should have been a simple pickup turned into an unnecessarily confusing and frustrating situation.
