I arrived at Trinitea Tea right when they opened to get some work done on my laptop. There was already a pair of customers at the register, so I used the restroom before ordering and settling in. The restroom was fairly clean and spacious. Afterward, I was greeted by the employee and ordered a taro milk tea with honey boba. I've been to this location a few times before and have always liked the chewiness and sweetness of their boba. I figured coming right at opening would mean I'd get the freshest batch, but that wasn't the case this time. The boba was mushy and not bouncy at all. It felt like it had been sitting for a while, possibly from the night before and kept warm. Considering boba is an extra $0.75, it was disappointing and didn't feel worth the add-on. Taro milk tea ($4.59 + 0.75 for boba) The milk tea itself was standard. It tasted like a typical taro milk tea made from a powdered mix. There were still some powder clumps at the bottom, but it wasn't a huge deal. A quick stir helped, and the flavor itself was fine. Service and ambiance The employee was very kind, and the ordering process was quick and smooth. I got my drink pretty fast. There's free WiFi, plenty of open tables, and outlets at some of them, which makes it a good spot to work or stay for a while. So happy I stumbled upon this boba shop! It's a total gem in the area. It's unlike any other boba shop i've been to in SD - definitely one of the most authentic in flavor, menu, and aesthetic. I loved how many menu options there were and how much seating as well! Definitely a good place to study. The Almond Green milk tea with boba was solid - a STRONG almond flavor. Actually my favorite & go-to boba shop in "east county". Their honey boba is consistently excellent & just consistent in flavor/sweetness/texture/etc. As for the teas & drinks, I like the quality of their teas that they use, as well as the flavors/fruits. You can pretty much customize any drink however you want, and they'll happily give you recommendations & help you pick something if you get overwhelmed by choices. Price-wise, expect to pay a base of $5 & once you add your customizations up to $7. The shop itself is quaint & cute, and a good spot to hang with friends, play games, or study. read more

5 stars for service! Had a large group, and we got there 10 minutes before closing (we were just walking by, saw it, and poked our heads in). Honestly didn't think they would let us in or make drinks for us, but the staff at the counter were totally fine. They were friendly, not rushed, made all the drinks, and we were all out before they closed at 8 PM! Ambiance looked nice - had plenty of tables, board games, etc. Seemed like it would be a nice place to hangout or study. Overall, drinks were pretty good - I would say 4/5 at least. I'm definitely not a boba connoisseur, but I enjoyed it (I got the Trinitea Milk Tea, 50% sugar, with boba). One of my friends got a smoothie, and the staff accidentally made too much - so they gave us a free one! Big plus is that there's lots of parking. I wanted a better boba tea than the one I ordered from my coworker the other day. That one featured very hard and difficult to swallow boba balls plus the tea didn't really taste all that good. I wanted the lychee black tea, which I got really quickly, and ended up tasting very good. The boba was softer and chewier than the boba I had the other day, which is a net plus. Always saw this boba shop everytime we went to Aldi but this time I actually tried it. There are literally only two boba shops in/near Santee and this location is one of them. It's not as busy as Kung Fu Tea so that's the main reason why I went here. I ordered their matcha milk tea (they call it matcha latte- dunno why) and it was overly sweet. They didn't ask what my sweetness level would be so I just assumed it came standard. The drink was okay, could have been better. They need to dissolve the matcha powder better because I definitely swallowed chunks of it. And like I said previously, it was WAY too sweet. My brother recently told me this place is his go to smoothie place even though he lives 15 away so I thought it must be a good spot! I decided to check it out and he was right - they make some great stuff here!! I use to be obsessed with Starbucks Mango Black Tea with lemonade for a long time, but one day it tasted different and not good anymore and I haven't had it since. But here they offer Mango Black Tea AND I can get Lychee in it!!! I got the small size in case I didn't like it but they only have two sizes just an fyi. It was later in the night around 8pm and there were two people in front of us. The wait wasn't even too long and it was ready to go! Very efficient. I was so excited to try it and I was not disappointed! It tasted just like the Starbucks drink I use to get!!! It was so delicious! I'm so glad I have found somewhere that replicates it so well! I will definitely be back and very happy they are so close to me! I've been visiting this spot for years, a great boba shop! Usually consistent, although sometimes the drinks can be light on flavors. A great variety available and good flavor choices. Also, before covid, there's a really nice conference room you can use for game nights/study sessions. Tonight, I ordered a taro slush with egg pudding, but I got boba instead... on the upside, the boba is the perfect flavor/texture, on the downside I wanted egg custard. Best Boba Tea place ever recently I tried the "Hokkaido Milk Tea" which was sweet but it was good. This is the the second drink that I have tried there the first one was the "Oolong Charcoal Roasted Milk Tea" which had a flavor of charcoal sometimes the flavor is stronger other times it isn't. I recently tried their "Honey Boba" and it was kind of disappointing since it didn't taste like honey at all. It's quieter and less crowded than many other places, has good free WiFi, and places to sit, plus drinks I like at a price I'm willing to pay.
