To my surprise, I ended up on the phone with Nan herself! I was blown away not only by her kindness but her knowledge in flowers and her willingness to work within my budget as well. I had originally set the budget to $50 but decided to splurge a bit and up the budget to $75 for better filler flowers. Spider mums are in season in the fall so I was a bit worried that I wouldn't be able to include my Mom's favourite flower in the bouquet but I was super lucky because Nan had imported a species that was very similar. She even took a picture of the flower in two different colours and she sent them to me in the middle of the call just to confirm they were ok. I asked her what filler flowers she was planning on using and when I requested other ones she tried her best to make recommendations based on the original budget. The finished product was absolutely gorgeous and my mom was surprised and really happy with it! I was surprised to see orchids, roses, and lilies added to the bunch as well and it was even delivered in a beautiful vase! (Other stores charged additional amounts for that). All in all I'm super happy to have taken the chance to reach out on a whim because talking with Nan was an absolute pleasure and the finished product was of great quality and artistry. Thank you, Nan for a beautiful piece and for such sweet personalized service as well. I'm always thrilled to support the smaller, family run businesses as well so this was a gem of a find for me!

I looked online and on Yelp for places located on Marine Drive, which is near my friend's home. I happened to call on a holiday, but left a message for Nan and she returned my call the next morning. In the meantime, I did look at other website of florists in the area, but none had the exact flower arrangement I was looking for on their website photos, simple and elegant. Nan did, so I went ahead and placed my order online. The bouquet was called "Say Something Sweet Bouquet" and looked perfect. The next morning Nan called, and had not gotten my order. She requested that I email to her and within a few hours, my friend called telling me she had received the most beautiful bouquet of pink roses. I had her send me a picture and they were gorgeous, even prettier than the ones in the website photo. Thank you so much Nan for making my friend and me so happy today! My husband went in to look for some annuals for the garden and a birthday card for me because they always used to have a good selection: he found the store almost bare and only one member of staff present.
