From the initial visit after our Mom's death to the gravesite service and everything in between, every detail was thoughtfully executed based on our wishes. This professional and extremely detailed event planning team handled everything for us including things we didn't expect, such as access to a very easy-to-use program for a picture video and a link to live stream the service for those unable to attend. Everyone at Trimble was incredibly helpful in my family's time of mourning for our grandmother. They were not very kind to me over my mom's passing. When I got there they treated me as I was nothing. Just another person to make money off of. They were NOT very sympathetic for my loss. My own family and the funeral home they talked about was Toys for Tots, what their plans were for Christmas and showing of pictures on their phone and FB. Laughing about what they show in the pictures. I never felt so alone. They never contacted when they were going to the process for her ashes. They never contacted me when my Mother's ashes was ready. I cannot say enough about just how wonderful Trimble Funeral Services were for our family when dealing with my mother's funeral. Reid Trimble has stated that he would be assessable night or day.... and meant it!! One night, when I couldn't sleep for all the planning and details of the funeral mulling around in my head, I texted Reid at 1:00am. I wanted to get down my questions while on my mind, thinking he would receive it and respond in the morning.... but instead received answers and heartfelt response within minutes. He worked tirelessly with us to create the perfect memorial to my mother. He worked closely with our church too, so much so that on the day of the funeral, my father, sister and I did not have to worry about one thing other than greeting people who came to honor my mom and console our family. It's been over 6 months now and I still hear from friends in attendance to the funeral, who tell us it was the most beautiful funeral/memorial they had ever attended. Of course our church had a great deal to do with that, but the Care and attention to details Reid and the Trimble home provided were simply immeasurable to our family. I cannot recommend a better facility and have to repeat my thanks for the the exceptional care and personal attention Reid Trimble provided. My mother passed away December 2017 and had expressed her wishes to be cremated. Having previously worked with Trimble upon the death of my mother-in-law and nephew, I contacted Trimble a couple of days before she passed and expressed what I wanted and Eric assured me that they would accommodate what I was asking. After my mom passed and we went to make all of the arrangements, we worked with Reid and he was so accommodating and his father, Eric had told him of our conversation a few days prior. Making my mother's arrangements with Trimble was so smooth and they took away all of the stress and did what they could to make things easier for me and I couldn't be more pleased with how everything turned out. read more

My father passed away suddenly in 2006 from a brain aneurism. I flew back to Moline in a daze. My mother, my sister and I made arrangements for his funeral at Trimble Funeral Home. Before we left the funeral home, Eric Trimble brought in a jewelry display of items available to get made with my dad's fingerprints on them - stressing the urgency for us to decide if we wanted to order something since my father was to be cremated and his fingerprints had to be taken immediately. Of course I wanted a lasting memento of my father. Unfortunately, as I was soon to find out, the earrings that I ordered were ridiculously expensive. My first instinct was to return them and ask for a refund, however, the guilt and shame of weighing monetary worth with the memory of my father was too painful, so I kept them and paid them off over time. My mother also passed away earlier this year. My sister, who resides in Moline, made all the arrangements with Trimble Funeral Home. I would not have selected them based upon my previous experience. I initially went to the prior location of Trimble Funeral Home on the day of the funeral, not realizing they had built a huge new facility, complete with a gift shop for the recently bereaved, and an "event center". We had mom's funeral on Thursday, January 22, with the graveside interment the next day, January 23. In the freezing weather, I hurried to the gravesite where Eric Trimble thrust documents in my face, telling me that he "needed my signature". I assumed they were the authorization for my mother's cremation, however, since I was not wearing my eyeglasses I had no way of knowing, and I was not offered an explanation nor a copy of the document. I was also not thinking clearly as I was still trying to process the sudden loss of my mother. It was not until much later that I discovered that my sister, who had already completely depleted my parents' substantial bank accounts had not paid Trimble Funeral Home for my mother's funeral service. Trimble is now suing me because the document they forced me to sign under duress during my mother's interment was a contract for her funeral services, which was planned and negotiated solely with my sister before my arrival in Moline. This systematic preying on the grief stricken is despicable, and I hope that others in the Quad Cities will think twice before planning funerals or other events at this facility.
