In my initial meeting with them they said all the right things, but after leaving my entire portfolio with them for over 18 months, these guys just don't measure up. Even have a fantastic year in the market in 2017 (many managers up 15%+), my IRA account was only returning 10.6% and one short term account I let them manage actually lost $6K. Although they want to blame my poor return on allocation, they did not adjust my allocation the entire year in 2017. They also advocate they are more about capital protection over return, but in Q1 of 2018 (where the market was mostly even) my account was down between 1 -2%. I decided to close my account and move it to another wealth manager (Edward Jones) and I'm hit with several account closure fees. I'd be very leery having these guys manage your retirement account - there are so many other/better options.
