I visited Dr. Gorelik at Trident office last month. The office is clean and modern. On my first visit I had an evaluation, x-rays, periodontal check , and a cleaning. On my next visit I had my root canal. I had no pain during or after the procedure (I was watching Netflix and enjoyed massage in my dental chair). Everyone in this office was exceptionally friendly and helpful. They answered my questions, explained each step in my treatment plan and made sure I was comfortable with my payments. Love this dentist! There are thoughtful details to the office, including a massaging chair, soft blanket if I need it, Netflix on the screen that just makes the appt fly by. I appreciate all the modern conveniences of their services, like the digital camera thing they used for the xrays - no more annoying film all over your cheeks. I've never been a fan of the dentist. Not in a million years. Top that with a necessary deep cleaning? Painful right? WRONG!!!!! I can't wait to come back to the dentist! The staff is incredibly amazing and friendly. Dr. Elaine Gorelik is extremely professional, friendly, and possibly the best dentist on this part of the country. My latest encounter was a deep cleaning and based on prior ones (just one), they were extremely painful and a process I didn't want again. After coming here and being told I would need one. I was a bit scared but just decided to come back in. Both Ivy and Marissa (each one worked a side of my mouth) did an amazing job and I never felt a single pinch. They literally went under my gums and hit every teeth and I felt nothing! It was incredible! A+++++ in every possible way. Thanks for all your help Dr. and staff! Apparently UCLA has a small branch of their dental school in which they train Ninja Dentists; Dr. Gorelik was working on my teeth, and I felt nothing but the smallest vibrations through the teeth she wasn't working on. She is the first dentist I've ever had that was able to work on my mouth without inflicting pain. Other than having to open my mouth nice and wide, there was zero discomfort. I have to say, as someone who generally loathes trips to the dentist, I'm officially not concerned about any return trips to Trident. Thank you for a painless, efficient, and friendly visit! My wife had chosen Trident due to their high rating here on Yelp and has had pretty good experiences thus far. I decided to turn to Trident as well [previous dentist was my dentist since I was an infant] and they had given me a completely different perspective on dental visits. There were quite a few different assistants, so there were quite a number of people that had talked to me and/or done work on me from X-Ray, to diagnosis, to deep-cleaning. All that being said, everybody was very nice and encouraging. Helps that they have Netflix going so the time goes by a little quicker. The distraction from them working on you is great and really helps you take your mind off having your mouth dismantled. I knew two things were certain before going into my appointment today: 1) that my teeth were going to be in desperate need of A LOT of work; and 2) that I would be terrified of all the pain in my future. Dr. Gorelik, however, was amazing in making me feel at ease about both certainties. She treated me like an adult, and spoke to me very openly and honestly about my situation. To help me feel more at ease with dentistry in general, she will first work on the smaller, less painful treatments before diving drill-first into my mouth. As an added bonus, she is working to provide me with a multitude of choices that will help me to achieve a healthier smile, rather than provide me with just the most expensive options available, Even though today was my first visit, I feel 100% more at ease already. It's nice to finally have a dentist who cares not only about my long-term dental health, but one who also cares about my comfortability and understanding of the work she will be performing. Marissa cleans teeth like she means it. I always feel super fresh. Ivy did a great job too. The two doctors are very nice! Gorelick did a perfect job on a filling. Today I went in for the fifth cleaning with them and enjoyed the massaging chair and Netflix. By the time my cleaning was over I had finished an episode of America's Funniest Home Videos. BTW, if you hate cleanings because they hurt, ask for numbing mouth rinse. They are very accommodating and caring! I have had some really terrible dentists and one I loved who retired. I have been going to Trident for almost two years and I always get the same great care with the same great people! read more

I first came to see Dr. Gorelick after basically firing my previous dentist because he clearly stated that he was sick of being a dentist and wanted you to become a professional golfer or an investment banker (or an astronaut or maybe a racecar driver or international jewel thief ... or I don't know- basically anything other than his chosen profession). Not particularly heartening when he's aiming a drill at your face, right? I prob took too long to say, Buh-bye! But I digress... Dr. Gorelick is the spectral opposite of that guy. She is warm and caring. She is deeply dedicated to her patients. She is also really good at what she does. I now feel kinda bad going in for cleanings because after she quickly undid the myriad mistakes/shoddy work of the previous guy (in the first couple visits), she kinda has nothing to do. ;-). She does of course check everything after I am seen by one of her great dental hygienists. It's also a really nice place to go for treatment-- the office staff is lovely (are lovely?), they are always on schedule and the environment is clean, efficient and generally confidence-inspiring. They take my insurance (Delta) and handle the boring paperwork so I can focus on other things. Look, I am not nuts (at least not in this particular context). I would rather be doing many other things with my mouth given the choice, but if you have to be in a chair while someone pokes at you with sharp instruments, IMHO this is the right place for that. It's certainly the best dental experience I have ever had. read more

Dr. Gorelik's office is amazing. After numerous traumatic experiences, I developed an intense fear of dentists, which was made worse by a series of failed, and very expensive procedures. While I typically still experience some anxiety whenever I need to go to the dentist, I always walk out of this office feeling more confident and better about my dental health. Everyone in this office is so kind, professional, and extremely attentive. I love Lily, who is one of the receptionists at the office. She is so supportive and patient. She really makes my visits such a wonderful experience. Additionally, Dr. Gorelik herself expresses general concern for me as her patient. She noticed that I was self-conscious about a loose crown I had and offered to cement it for me - even though the office was about to close. In terms of paying, this office really exemplifies what it is to have a full disclosure policy. I have never felt blind sided by any treatment costs. In fact, I had a question about my insurance coverage and was unsure if the amount that I was quoted in the office was the same as the statement I received in the mail. In response to this, they told me they would call my insurance company and that I could pay the next time I came in. I've had bad experiences with other dentists who are clearly more concerned about bleeding their patients for money. Dr. Gorelik and her staff's primary concern is for the wellbeing of their patients. And...HELLO BOSE HEADPHONES + NETFLIX while you're getting treatment. I actually see Dr. Baum, not Dr. Gorelik, but figured Trident could use yet another glowing review! It took me almost a year of living in LA, and tooth pain, to look for a dentist, so I was obviously overdue for an appointment. I've never been a fan of the dentist -- but these people are seriously amazing! Everyone, from the receptionist, to the hygentist, to Dr. Baum, are friendly and healthy. They're not judgemental, either (a first in my dental experiences)! I've never had to wait more than 10 minutes, and they have 8am appointments which is super convenient (although there's a long waiting list). Watching Netflix is a nice perk, too! read more

I was referred to Trident by a friend of mine when I was frantically looking for a dentist before the end of the year (I hadn't used my insurance benefits). When I first called they were booked on the day that I had off but they called back same day as soon as something opened up. Their follow through is amazing and they are all digital / electronic which made life so easy. Edgar at the office sent me a link and I was able to complete all the forms online so I didn't have to deal with paperwork when I arrived. I also wanted to make sure I did not get stuck with hidden dental bills but they followed through and checked my insurance so I knew exactly what I was in for (I have CIGNA PPO) They also sent me text messages to remind me of my appointment which is super convenient. The day I arrived I was very impressed by the modern and clean office. Also parking in the area is SUPER easy and convenient which means I didn't have to pay anything and I did not have to walk for blocks to get to their office. I met Dr. Niki for the exam and she explained everything to me. She said that if I don't understand what is going on, then she is really not doing her job so she used the xrays and pics to SHOW me what was going on, what needed to be fixed immediately and what we could "just watch" for a while. She wasn't trying to get me to do any unnecessary dental work. When I returned to take care of a filling, I was so impressed with her Dr Niki's work, I did not feel the injections at all, she was careful and communicative. It also probably helped a lot that I was able to watch Netflix the entire time so I did not here the sound of the drilling. The office has amazing follow through and patient care. Dr. Gorelik is by far the best in LA!!!!! First, her staff is amazing, caring and passionate about making your visit enjoyable. The office is supper clean with the latest technology. It's second to none as far as cleanliness goes and the comfort level eases any anxiety. Personally, I love her Netflix setup :) Regarding Dr. G, I love her. She listens to your concerns and explains every procedure thoroughly. As long as I am in LA, she will be my go to for any issues in my mouth. This is the best experience that I have ever had at a dentist office and I've had my share of work done in the past. They are compassionate, thorough, and have all state of the art tools. They even provide Netflix and music while in the chair. From front desk to hygienist (who is on the ball at all times reducing chair time) to dentists that are amazingly skilled, this place is the absolute best. It has now been over two years since my complete oral reconstruction and transformation. I have never been so confident in my smile and appearance. Now I only see Dr. Gorelik and the wonderful staff for routine checkups and cleanings, wish I lived closer so that I could get cleanings more often. Things only seem to get better at this place, its always spotless and staff beyond helpful and friendly. Prices are very reasonable for the quality of work and expertise that you receive. At one point Dr. Gorelik went out of her way to assist me with a discount when my dental insurance had lapsed without my knowledge (or rather my forgetting to send a payment). My past experiences with new dentists have been like this - 1. dental x-ray 2. dentist talks for 2 minutes 3. dental cleaning 4. Out of there. My experience with Dr. Gorelik - 1. First of all, she has state of the art equipment (you can watch netflix or surf the web while your cleaning is being done) 2. Secondly, after x-rays, she discusses the health of each tooth and points out any problem areas. 3. Thirdly, she uses an oral camera that is projected on a monitor right above you, that clearly shows problem areas. This is a big deal for me. Because, unless I see for myself, I don't really understand the gravity of the situation 3. Then, Dr Gorelik ranks each tooth by how much cleaning it would need to be in good health. The hygienist uses this information and therefore, the end result of the cleaning is great. 4. The staff is very courteous. I have decided to go there regularly. I didn't think it was possible to experience total relaxation at the Dentist's office, but it is! I had the loveliest time today at Trident Dentistry. Dr. Gorelik and her entire staff we approachable and kind. The technology was amazing--I was able to see exactly what my teeth looked like instantly on a screen over the chair. I've been going to Dr. Gorelik for over a year now and she is absolutely amazing! The entire staff is extremely helpful and very friendly. The office is super clean and the technology is second to none! You can fill out all paperwork on the computer and you can watch your favorite show or a movie on Netfilx while getting your cleaning. Hands-down, the best experience I've ever had at a dentist. I've spent much of my career developing products that focus on the user experience, and this was an exceptional experience. Booking the appointment was easy, and they twice offered me earlier appointments when they had cancellations. 7am appointments available so you don't need to miss work. Complete your paperwork online. When I arrived, I was immediately seated. They took more x-rays than I've ever had before. Everything was state of the art. Dr. Gorelik was friendly, explain the anatomy and what she was looking for. They made me feel comfortable and well informed. After my check up, there was a little extra time before my cleaning so I got to watch Netflix. When they moved me to the hygienist's chair, they transferred my Netflix so I picked up where I left off! The cleaning was great. Thorough, efficient, but careful. Again, everything was explained to me before it was done. The entire staff was friendly, inviting, and informative. I have very basic dental insurance (I work for a startup), but the entire cost was covered! This felt like a premium Beverly Hills-style experience that should cost $500, but it cost $0. Dr Gorelik is everything all those good reviews said about her, she is gentle, down to earth and feels more of a friend than a dentist and this is only my first visit. My wife referred me to Trident Dentistry after I had some botched dental work at home on the East Coast. Long story short, I now fly from New York to Los Angeles anytime I need any dental work done. I really like the dentist and the office staff and the facility however I was unlucky with my actual treatment. The filling I received was not successful. I suffered for 6 months with this painful filing and finally have had it examined by another dentist. Looks like it was drilled to close to the nerve and as such requires a root canal. The Dr. also drilled into the wrong tooth initially as it had been marked down incorrectly during the initial examination. I understand that mistakes happen and I believe the Dr was rushed as they had not scheduled enough time for the three fuilling I had booked in for. read more

Dr. Gorelik appears to be a great dentist. But I guess all these great reviews on Yelp pose a problem. They become too famous and due to a backlog, prices skyrocket. Unless you have great dental insurance, forget about going near this place. I took my 94 year old father for major dental work consultation. Out of 5 dentists, this was THE most expensive. And not by a little, but materially more expensive. No real cash discounts either. Maybe 2%-5% cash discount if the front office staff feel like it. Our consultation and x-rays cost $150 while many other dentists didn't charge at all. The front office staff said that *maybe* they can discount the major dental work by 5% if the extractions are easy, but they won't know until they extract. WOW! While I did like Dr. Gorelik, I didn't think this place was worth the extreme high-prices. We went eslewhere to get the major work done. Luckily we found another great dentist at very reasonable prices. Keep searching....they're out there and undiscovered and un-ruined by Yelp! read more

So I realize that Elaine is very good at what she does and is a very nice person, which is why it sort of pains me to write this review but . . . I feel as though I have to. Her prices are insane, and it is so frustrating to feel as though I cannot afford simple dental work! I am not sure if I even wanted to go back that I could. But honestly, though the prices frustrate me, that's not what I wanted to warn you about. She does not honor the groupons that you have already paid for and can't return. I feel like she totally screwed me by saying I could use it then later saying she couldn't take it, and I just wonder if she cares about her patients or just what they're willing to shell out. Recently I went to this fabulous office of Dr. Elaine Gorelik for my cosmetic teeth reconstruction. Dr. Gorelik is so nice and honest about details like a friend, plus she's not trying to sell me something that I didn't need(you know how expensive cosmetic things could be). All her office staff is sweet and helpful. Treatments were painless plus I enjoyed my favorite TV shows during it (and don't forget relaxing chairs with massage). Office is very clean and equipment looks like just came out from the picture of the magazine. The location of the office is great and has its own parking that the office staff gladly validated for me. The level of professionalism and quality of the work that they do is unparalleled. I have been coming to Dr. Gorelik for over 2 years and have had nothing but great experiences. I typically do not write reviews unless they are warranted, and like other Yelper's on here, I would have to agree that a positive review is the only review possible. The front office has changed since I have been going there but that doesn't mean the service has. Every time I walk in for a cleaning or dental appointment I am always greeted with happy smiles and a welcoming vibe. Val, the Office Manager, does an excellent job of making you feel at home. The front office peeps, Henna and Rosa, always ask if you want something to drink etc. I typically bike to my appointments to avoid the horrendous Westside traffic and they have offered, on more than one occasion, to put my lunch (or dinner) in their fridge while I am there. Yes, I am lazy and buy my food and carry it around in my backpack. I have never had to wait for my appointments and they are extremely accommodating even for someone who hates the dentist. The office is set up with cool features like massaging chairs and Netflix which makes it extremely relaxing. I am still waiting for the in house massage therapist but you can't have everything right? Ha! My teeth are cleaned by the blonde girl, Ananda (sp). She is very thorough and gentle. She is also extremely knowledgeable about her field and offers suggestions to keep my teeth up to par. When I first got my teeth cleaned I had to get a "deep clean". I thought at first that I was getting upsold but after hearing why I needed to get a deep clean rather than a normal cleaning, it made sense. It was painless and was definitely needed. She had me on a 3 month schedule, where I would come back every 3 months but after a while I went back to the normal every 6 months. Yay me for following instructions! Again, like the rest of the staff, she was great! As for actual dental work, I have seen both Dr. Gorelik and Dr. Nikki (the other dentist). Both do outstanding work and truly care for their patients. Dr. Gorelik is personable and professional but also extremely skilled at what she does. Yes, she is busy, but that is because she is ensuring her practice is running smoothly. Never once has she not answered or rushed any questions, like my old dentist did. She seems to really care about her patients and their treatments as well as working with the front office on finding the best solution for the best price. I had to get a crown fixed as well as have fillings replaced and she was fantastic. Dr. Nikki also did some fillings on me, and like Dr. Gorelik; she does everything in her power to make sure you are comfortable. I cannot tell you how determined and precise she is when it comes to keeping you comfortable while fixing issues from previous dentists. I highly recommend both dentists to anyone! The practice runs extremely smooth in all areas. From the assistants, to the front office, to billing, and to the customer service - they go above and beyond. If you are hesitant about the treatment plans they offer, you need to listen to them. I have been to dentist that sell you stuff you don't need. This is the first office where I felt confident that what they are suggesting will make my teeth and gums healthier in the long run. They do an excellent job of explaining why certain things are needed to keep your mouth in working order. So far I have had an invisilign treatment (best decision ever), two crowns, a bunch of silver filling replacements, and I will soon be getting veneers from Dr. Gorelik. The doctors rock and the practice is extremely welcoming, I would recommend them to anyone - even people who are terrified of the dentist. And not to be a total "bro" but the girls that work there are hot! Yeah, I'm going to be embarrassed when I show my face there again but you only live once! #YOLO read more

I also followed Dr. Gorelik from her old practice. I even moved to Long Beach, but I'm willing to drive the 30+ miles to see her, and you know why? Because she's honest. Going over my X-rays at my last appointment, she pointed out two incipient cavities and told me to make sure to floss those particularly well. I don't know about you, but I've never had a dentist point out anything on an X-ray-- they either say "you're fine" or "you need a large number of very expensive fillings that will help me pay for my boat." She used it to help me prevent future dental work, rather than pad her own pocket. A trustworthy dentist is definitely worth driving 30 miles for. This is an update to my review last year.... I have now undergone replacement of 4 veneers (which I initially had placed 22 years ago) and creation of 2 new veneers for cosmetic reasons. She did an amazing job. They look natural and perfect at the same time. Her office made the entire process comfortable for me. She even delivers Lidocaine injections painlessly - a first for me. I've heard stories about temps falling out and looking strange, and even during that 10-day period, I felt my teeth looked good. Dr Gorelik and her staff always accommodate their patients. When I ate a staining food (curry), they got me right in to polish the temps so that I could smile comfortably until my permanent veneers arrived. After the permanent veneers were placed, even though they looked beautiful right away, Dr Gorelik emphasized that we would have follow-up appointments for any fine-tuning. I appreciate the pride she takes in her work, and the results are evident. I've referred several friends and my husband to her in the last year, and everyone has a great experience, whether they see her for general or cosmetic dentistry. read more
