To make matters worse, I knew I had a 9 day vacation out of the country soon. I could see nothing but green, and I knew that if I didn't act quickly... soon the green wrath would take the lives of my fish. After researching the best I could, I decided to contact Authentic Aquariums. A reply soon followed, including a phone-call to get a better idea of my aquarium emergency. After diagnostics via photographs and lighting schedules, I was given hope; Daniel gave me my options, which even humbly included fixes I could do on my own. I was given a very fair estimated cost, and after generously being fit into a busy schedule, I had my first visit. My tank was cleaned from the inside out, and my water was changed to stabilize my tank. After some professional tips, I was given the green-light to go on vacation and be at ease with my tank's health. After returning from vacation, Daniel and Butch carefully setup a UV sterilizer to defeat the green, once and for all.

I reached out to Daniel, he was very responsive, and I sent photos of my inspiration, and described the type of tank I wanted, the size, along with my budget. A few days later, Daniel reached out and let me know he was able to come up with a solution that would fit my budget! Everything came together quickly, and I could not be more pleased . The follow up has been amazing as well, I highly recommend Authentic Aquariums!

Frustrated that we couldn't find anyone and upset that those who cleaned our tank were not very competent we lost all hope. In comes Ward...While at a Dental office I was mesmerized by how amazing their fish tank was and inquired on who kept it up and they told me Ward did. Living in the Chula Vista / Eastlake area I wasn't sure if Ward would come down but after contacting him he came by for a consultation. He looked at the tank and recommended a few things but the number one reason our tank was in horrible shape was because it was too hot. Yes, the other fish tech we used left the heat on and it was too high! How could he overlook that!? Very frustrating. After handing Ward the "keys" to the tank our tank has thrived so much. It's healthy, the fish are loving it and everything looks great. We trust Ward enough to come into the home when we're not there to work and he does an excellent job. He respects are home, cleans up after himself and leaves everything looking the way he found it. My last fish guy was in and out within minutes and Ward takes his time and knowing how busy he is it tells me he's not about how many accounts he has but how special each tank is to him. If I have any issues with the tank he's on it. I'm lucky we found Ward and I know our fish are lucky to have him taking care of them and their home. If you're on the fence with a fish guy, I can tell you that we were about to give up and Ward has now made it fun for us again. Thanks Ward!

Live Water Aquariums Transformed My San Diego Koi Pond - Absolutely Awesome Service!…read moreI can't say enough good things about Live Water Aquariums! They recently came out to my home in sunny San Diego for a full pond tune-up on my backyard koi setup, and wow--what a difference. The owner Mark himself showed up right on time, rolled up his sleeves, and dove right in (pun intended). He inspected everything from the filtration system to the water chemistry, cleared out some stubborn algae buildup, and even balanced the pH levels on the spot--our San Diego hard water can be tricky, but he nailed it without a hitch. My koi are swimming happier than ever, and the water is crystal clear, just like the Pacific on a good day. What's even better is that we signed up for their monthly maintenance plan on the spot. For a reasonable fee, they handle all the routine stuff--skimming debris, checking the pump and UV sterilizer, adding those beneficial bacteria to keep things eco-balanced, and monitoring ammonia/nitrite levels so I don't have to stress. No more weekend warrior sessions for me; I can just kick back in my backyard and enjoy the show. The guy is genuinely awesome--super knowledgeable, friendly, and treats your pond like it's his own. He shared tips on winterizing for our mild SoCal climate (like insulating the heater lines come December) and even recommended some hardy water lilies that thrive here. If you're in the San Diego area and need pro help for your pond or aquarium, Live Water Aquariums is the real deal.
