She got a text saying that she was sent to collections. She called thinking that it was a spam and they told her that it was my bill. I have never received a bill for the visit so I will probably get a collections letter and fee. Again this week, she got a text saying that she was sent to collections. She was told that her doctor requested a new set a tests done on her sample. She was told that her first bill was sent to collections because they could not contact her since her address had our PO Box number and her city since we don't live in the same town and it was sent back undeliverable. They could not even pull up her file or contact her doctor to verify the address. Every time anyone in our family does blood work with Tricore we are sent to collections. That company is worthless.

Book your appointments in advance like a grown adult and show up early to check in, so you don't make everyone else's appointments late behind you & cause the employees to drive home late. I scheduled a standard personal blood panel online, arrived to have my blood drawn and was asked if I was prepared to give a urine sample. "No, I only scheduled a blood panel." "Well if you're not able to give a urine sample I'll have to put this test on hold." "I didn't pay for a urine test." "But the computer says..." Back and forth. At no point did she check her computer to see what tests were being performed, or any attempt to explain why I might have an unexpected urine test. I actually asked her if she was going to force me to provide urine before drawing blood for the test I paid for. She was visibly frustrated that I was refusing a urine test that I didn't want or ask for. If the computer said it's what I ordered, she was going to perform what the computer said and not spend even a moment to confirm that she was preparing to perform the correct test. Unprofessional, potentially dangerous, potentially a privacy issue if they aren't even checking their tests. I left because I wasn't about to have this visibly frustrated person stick a needle in me without knowing why they are doing tests or having the care to be able to explain anything at all.

However, you might still want to get their really early, because the line is LONG getting in to get some blood work done. I got there at 7:30 AM. I was second in line. The next 30 minutes a lot of people showed up to have blood drawn. They were efficient. We scanned a QR-Code to determine our place in line. Someone would come out, announce that number and in you'd go. You let them know you're there at the desk. Then wait again for them to call that number you got earlier when you scanned the QR-Code with your phone. Once you get in to see someone to draw you blood (which is really soon), they're really quick to get the blood drawn. Then you're on your way. Very efficient, quick and friendly.
