After waiting a few months for an appointment which is not their fault whatsoever. I arrived at my…read moreappointment 25 minutes before. I live about 2 hours away which is also not to their fault. They said you missed your appointment which was 945. I was there at 920 then proceeded to say you should have arrived at 845. I showed my paperwork from the VA which showed 945 as the appointment time and to arrive 15 minutes prior. They then said you cannot be seen. The Dr requires you get here a hour before. They never sent a text or called to tell me such policy. They confirmed my phone number and I asked when did your office contact me? They told me I should have been given a courtesy call the week prior. I never received a call or text from the provider. They said an outside company handles that. I went through all calls texts and emails with no such communication ever existing. Not one communicationone from this office. I have never been or felt so disrespected in my life by the 3 ladies I spoke to in this office. They refused to listen to me or give me any explanation other than we can reschedule you next month. After leaving the office I immediately called the Veterans Assistance community care. While on the phone them, they had a supervisor call the Dr office and put on hold. The VA office connected me to the supervisor and he asked what had occurred. I told him what happened. I was still in the parking lot and he asked if I could hand my phone to the staff at thw Dr. office. I walked back into the office and handed the assistant my phone. The office staff and the VA community care representative spoke and and even he could not get a reason behind the policy of hour early arrival or why I was not notified of this. This should never happen to anyone. I give one star because someone was there.

I didn't have availability to test in the conventional way for the father. I had to use a toothbrush instead of the cheek swab. The gentleman I spoke with at paternityUSA, Ed, did make me aware of the chances of finding DNA on the toothbrush, but it's all I had to work with so I went for it! The price was right - especially considering the gravity of the situation! I've seen so many places that are much more expensive and didn't have the accreditations paternity-usa.com did or have the same level of service. Many of them, I could tell from the initial call, really didn't care whether or not they got my business! Ed and his staff however, really treated me well from the beginning. Everyone I spoke with (I did call a couple of times) was professional and courteous. When I placed my order, everything was thoroughly explained to me. When I got the testing kit the next day, I felt comfortable doing it myself. After I did my swab, I sent it back - and they provide FREE OVERNIGHT FedEx shipping back to their lab (which is another reason I decided to use this company). Even though I am in Atlanta and the lab is in New Mexico, I had my result in 4 business days after they got my kit back. After my test results came back, I had a sister that decided she wanted to do the test as well. I was able to call in and add her to my order (understandably there is another test fee but since I only had the toothbrush sample for the father, they were able to use his profile from my test, do a new swab on my sister and test paternity for her.) All in all things turned out well for me and my family and by using Paternity-USA.com, I know we got accurate test results and I have peace in my heart about who my father is now. I highly recommend this company!! This test meant so much to me! I know anyone in this situation feels the same, and you too may be searching for information. It can be overwhelming! There is a lot out there, but no real customer reviews. That's why I thought it was important for me to share my experience.
