My husband who had a Total Shoulder Replacement in Feb by Dr Schwartz. Initial assessment was done by Carlos Carrillo PA. Thorough and complete. Shoulder replacement outcome has been excellent. After 3 days pain management was controlled by Ibuprofen. PT is completed and range of motion, which is good now, will continue to improve over time - as expected. Waiting for the scheduled app't can go long - 1/2 hr or more. Bring a book or phone and be patient. The staff have been professional and courteous and do the best they can. Schedule your followup appointments before leaving and have realistic expectations about re-scheduling if you can't keep it. Understand about your health/injury - do your research and play a roll in your care. It makes a difference. read more

Avoid this place. The doctor that I was appointed to didn't care, and was not prepared to help me. The doctor's name was Gerald Farber. I was met with indifference and only got incomplete information that I either already knew or was completely irrelevant to my problem. I was adamant about my health concerns and was practically ignored. The assistants and actual capabilities of the office were pretty nice, but that wasn't the reason I was there. Two years ago, I had carpal tunnel surgery on my left hand. It was a horrible experience that took me 6 months of therapy and 4 neck injections to release the nerve to kind of feel normal. That doctor relocated to another city. Therefore, I was afraid to have it done on my right hand. Fortunately at this clinic, I was seen by Dr. Gerald Farber. I explained to him of my experience on my left hand. He explained to me that he had done over 2000 carpal tunnel surgeries and his procedure was less invasive and healing was much faster. My procedure on my right hand was done June 19. I have gone to see Dr. Farber for follow up appointments. I was able to move my hand within a week and most of the pain was gone in about 3 weeks. He showed to me massage my hand and that minor swollen would be gone at the latest in 6 months as the tissue has regenerated itself. When I first started going to Memorial Bone & Joint I had a good experience with the provider there named Carlos. He's very good and very attentive to my needs. But the problem is - to get to Carlos you have to get through the machine of Memorial and their business motto seems to be "WE'RE not happy until YOU'RE not happy. Twice in a row I waited an hour past my appointment. The first time they came for me just before I was going to walk out. Last week it happened again and I decided I wouldn't put up with it. They didn't respect my time. It seems that the medical profession in particular has the attitude that you are lucky to get their help so put up with it. Not me. I will find somewhere else to go. If you don't care about having your time wasted then this place might be okay for you - not for me. read more

The WORST clinic i have been too, first the care of their patients is appalling. Second, you can not get in contact with anyone in the clinic aswell; what are you paying the useless lady's at the front for if they do not do their job correctly?. I was told that i was getting a call back in under 2 weeks but did not until a month later. They not only not have any records of my visit but also no record of my order being sent for evaluation so i will now have to go again and wait more. In all of my years of living i have never seen such a non-professional environment where it is okay to not care for their patients. As a patient dealing with pain for months going doctor to doctor this experience was very dreadful. Do not recommend this clinic for anyone actually looking to get their body fixed...Also if you want to wait months to get treated this is the clinic for that. read more

The Bone and Joint Center Has a very caring office staff as well as highly qualified physicians. Two of the surgeons have helped me recover better than new. Dr. Cruz did a reverse shoulder replacement which has removed my pain and returned function after a badly torn, chronic rotator cuff finally gave up and physical therapy had failed. Dr. Schwartz took care of my fractured knee cap and wrist after a bad fall. I am now back to my normal activities and have even added more. We never wait long in the "waiting" room, just a few minutes and everyone in the practice appear cheerful and happy to help from the front office, to the physician assistants, nurses and x-ray tech. Once you start you tend to keep patronizing unfortunately that is my dilemma. Six months ago I renched my knee playing golf. I have had two different shots, a number of braces and now it's an MRI but I have to wait 3 weeks for authorization than who knows how long for another appointment. There is another imaging company but I was basically refused it. Time to find another office. read more

Good Dr's BUT, Very slow. Expect to wait 1 to 1.5 hours after your app before called in. Typical broken medical system Dr's only get 10 min per patient per the Bean Feeders. Unrealistic medical system were the Co. CFO all worries about bottom line not the costumer. read more
