Yesterday, I got a message it was in and coming today 10am - 2pm. I called to verify. YES! It's coming. I arranged folks to be there. No word today. So, I called again to verify... after upsetting 3 house holds to have a person there for the delivery. The 5th time this has happened. . . over a damn dishwasher. I was only on hold for 12 minutes this time at least. I was told NOPE. Not coming today. That was a message for service to come fix the first one... you should have known that. The delivery is now 15th. Don't Buy from HERE! I wanted to buy local, from the place my great grandparents bought their first TV. NOPE. Screw it. See you at Lowes next time.

The sales rep told me two outright lies. 1) you have 90 days to catch the Macbook model you purchased on sale. If you do, Best Buy will refund the difference. Nope. It's SIXTY days. 2) today only, we have a deal going on where you get My Best Buy Plus (or whatever its called) for $.01. Would you like to sign up and get the benefits? (explained them in great detail). I agreed. He charged me the full price, a $49.99 difference. I don't want to assume Best Buy has their employees lie on purpose. Rep assured me he received no commission on credit card sales. I can't trust that's true either, now. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. Best Buy used to be a staple in our home. One of the few places I counted on for quality service when so many other places have shown their solely about a bottom dollar. I hope this was a one off. A poorly trained rep, not a systemic issue. I ended up scanning all the items I wanted to buy, but I was not sure if I had scanned one item because I left it on the scanner side instead of putting it on the bag side. This would be questionable because there is no proof that you had only bought one. If you bring it back after a week, it would look as if you bought two and then wanted to get $ back off the transaction by having them take it off. I felt like I was treated like an honest customer because of this and really, it could have gone either way. Again, where is the proof? I did not have the item with me and had I brought back the original brush, there is only one brush to account for. These are the problems with self checkouts and really, the customer has to be the one to make sure to check their receipt before leaving any kiosk.

During checkout a very friendly and helpful employee named Joe kindly asked if I had a flat tire and needed any help. I said I didn't have a flat but the pressure gauge at the gas station was not working right so I wasn't sure how much air my tires needed given the major fluxes in temperature the last few days. He helped me pick out a high quality pump that was a great price ($40) and then when I asked if I could take him up on his offer he said of course and then proceeded to help me get my tires pumped and learn how to use the new pump. Our recent visit resulted in a new and luxurious dishwasher for me (happy early birthday after finding a lux Bosch floor model that includes features I don't understand but with a modern no-fingerprint exterior and a coveted third row with multiple settings that I have dreamed about for years). I tried to also leave with a new bathroom vanity, but fate wasn't on my side. Custom blinds are also now haunting my dreams but the sales person (who was wonderful in indulging my whims with their planning tool) scares me off with the final price tag. I had no idea blinds could cost more than a car! I did also encounter two unicorns - an actual stuffy for my puppy (who knew Lowe's had a pet section?) and a crazy affordable peel and stick wallpaper that screams Anthropologie but without the crazy cost. I am too scared to tackle peel and stick, but I am hoping my husband may tackle the challenge with the right encouragement (we've all watched the reels of all the interesting things you can find at Lowe's!). My only complaint is that I somehow lost two hours in a store and actually missed visiting the section I went in for (light fixtures).
