I got a hair cut. The rest is rough. I never want to see someone get a bad rating but this experience was beyond the pale. I was treated horribly by the stylist. To the point by the time I left, I thought her rudeness, criticism, barking manner and roughness were acts of agism. She pulled my hair during cutting & styling to the point of causing my eyes to tear. She hit me in the head with the blow dryer without apology & her disregard of me followed through with holding the hot iron uncomfortably long as to feel it burn. I asked for my bang not to be styled in my eye. I asked a few times & she snapped that my hair was awful & she couldn't style it out of my eyes because it grew that way. There was more, I'll spare you. I had an anxiety attack afterward & on making an honest review of the service experience was texted repeatedly by the salon owner who wouldn't believe my experience. Despite seeing the events, she failed to notice how her client was affected, only noticing the stylist acting outdone. I said yes she was that way from the moment I arrived until she stormed off - very unprofessional. The owner finished my hair. I thought my stylist may have had some personal issue & needed uplifting so I gave her a tip anyway. The owner texted me after seeing my review which they requested, saying I lied about the tip. But later confirmed the tip. Then she claimed she was apologetic for how I felt about my experience but also called me a liar again denying her stylist was unprofessional & blaming me for being the rude one having seen the one time I took up for myself with the bangs she felt grew in such a wild manner. In hindsight, I should have left when the stylist barked that my difficulty leaning back more at the wash basin was because I "hadn't done what I was told"! I tried to explain, 70 year olds sometimes don't bend so well but she still thought my not bending more was an act of obstinance. So unpleasantness in the service & lasting well beyond the salon with review chastisement. I don't care to be in that tribe, though my hair ended up to be okay. Guess I should brace for backlash. But you deserve to know. read more
