Horrible experience. Forcibly detransitioned me, denying me HRT and grooming supplies and said I was "on drugs", inventing random symptoms. Healthcare "nurses" blatantly lied about their interactions and did not give me meds. Never accurately recorded my meds. Disregarded their own MD's advice for a week. Demanded I sign a form announcing my religion before providing care. Eventually recognized I'm healthy and released me because there were zero symptoms to hold me. I never had any symptoms. I've known psychotic people and met them there. They are not being cared for, at this facility. It's just a place where rich folks send their LGBT kids to remove them sight. read more

So yesterday I went to triangle springs so I can get help with my drinking and mental health problems. I had my assessment with Latoya Wilson. During the assessment she couldn't even spell medications I told her I was taking and couldn't really tell military time which how they write the time on your paper work. How does someone work in the medical field and dont know simple medical terminology. Thats very unprofessional. Secondly they seem very unorganized. I was turned away from inpatient detox/treatment which is odd to me since I have a history of being a alcoholic and I been to triangle springs 3 times prior to trying to go yesterday and I was really seeking uo cus I can't do on my own . This place has changed a lot since the last time I was there . I did notice that any patient that has an assessment with Latoya Wilson didnt receive inpatient help. She comes out tells me she swear she told the doctor everything . And I highly doubt she did cus there no way with my condition that I should have been turned away from detox etc. This place is literally hiring anybody and they are half ass doing their jobs. Turning someone away couldn't been the last fight they had to get help and they go out and overdoes or kill them self this place would be held accountable for that and get sued . Cus how are you turning away à person who drinks 7 days a week all day til they pass out and and telling them you've been depressed and suicidal for almost a year. Makes no sense ! read more

This facility is a joke!!! I have called at least six times and no answer!! I even called the Nursing Supervisor and was sent to voicemail!! I called the unit "Meadows " no answer and the voicemail box was full, so I couldn't even leave a voicemail. I personally had a great experience her 5 yrs ago, compared to something like Holly Hill - this place is exceptional. Some of the staff had attitudes, but in general it was a completely comfortable experience and detox. I always recommend it when people ask where they should go (I work in recovery). Do not go to here unless you want to be ripped off, traumatized and need more therapy than you have ever needed in your life. I have recently reviewed this facility and apparently they have time to read Yelp reviews but no time to take care of patients nor return any calls. So I'll fill you in on this ride of hell. I voluntarily admitted by myself for depression and drinking Sake (japanese rice wine). Upon check in they said NO you have to go to the ER first. Which I did and shortly after paying all the ER bills I was then transported to Triangle Springs via a Sheriff vehicle. My husband who had dropped me off to their facility to start off with wasn't allowed to drop me off there even though he was told he could. So he had no idea they made me go to to the ER via ambulance. Nice little charge of $1,300. they had already taken all my belongings to include my phone. I had to bribe a nurse in the ER to call my husband. Red flag 1! I later found out they did this to everyone. This is no mental health healing facility. Bear with me, every day Im going to post another day at this facility in hopes of change for those who are thinking of going there or a loved one sending someone there. They need to return my calls and my husbands calls. Everything I wrote in my first review was all true and they sent me a letter saying that their cameras didn't see anything and that there were no reports filed. Too bad for them, that when I did file reports I always had two other patients with me as witnesses. 2. Intake process is a joke. I was taken inside the locked doors and put in a room and told to wait. No explanation, nothing in the room but a chair and a small garbage can. I waited in there for 5 hrs with no communication from anyone. So now I'm anxious. After 5 hrs the check in took another 3 hrs to complete while they "accidentally" as they say put me in the violent side of the facility. The sunshine wing. So while signing in at just the small nurses station where everyone is, giving out personal information, men are running around screaming for cigarettes and taking out their genitalia. I was threatened multiply times that I was either going to be raped or killed. There was no staff intervention. So this is the 1st 8 hours. After 5 hrs in the violent side I was moved to meadow wing. Not better at all. There were no clean rooms I had to wait 7 hrs for a room to be cleaned. They went through all my belongings not in a different room but right at the front counter where everyone could see. Lovely. That 1st night I woke up to a male patient in my room with his penis out and in his hand. I screamed, he left, nothing was done. I had to see him everyday and every single file lunch line he would grope me consistently. Nothing was done with that complaint either. Magically there is not record of it according to their response letter. So here I am this 5'4' 122 pound girl with a 6'4' man shoving his penis against me in the line for food every day. I didn't sleep the entire time I was there. I lost 15 pounds in 5 days. Tomorrow I'll tell you about day 2. read more

I'm sitting here fuming at how my in-crisis teen has been given the runaround due to their admin mismanagement (and their absence of any discernable remorse.) I'm dumbfounded. Da Good, Da Bad, and Duh Ugly! Let's start with the cream of the crop, above and beyond, even a stay-changing experience is Alex B and Tony S. They often work together and we all think of them as dynamic duo. I want to emphasize all the staff are par-excellance though. Anyone leaving a bad review for Triangle Springs has never been to a bad mental health facility. T.S. is off the chart for counciling, stabilization, and follow up programs. People need to remember inpatient is triage. You still have a long way to go and I recommend following along with T.S. as well. Intake staff and management is also top notch. Da Bad - intake staff at front desk need to get some additional insights. It's not up to them to screen items that are approved by the doctor. That is for staff at each wing. Da Ugly. That cafeteria contract needs to be terminated. They admitted ( T.S. Management) that it is a new contractor). But what they are doing is not new contractor mistakes. It's criminal mistakes that they hope they won't be called out on. But they will be. I'm the person that got Perkins ( Perkins Family Resetraunts ) fired from a local federal campus 8 months in on a 5 year contract. They are cheating. And almost every meal they serve is a felony each and every count. They are defrauding the Veterans Administration, Medicaid, and Medicare. Among others. If I do one thing in my life as my new hobby it is to bring them into the light. My mission is to bring them to justice. It will take a couple of years. Omar in that kitchen is honest and a true chef. I hope he gets his own restaurant. The others will be getting jail if I have anything to say on it ( I'm a fed ). I recently sought care at Triangle Springs for medication adjustments for my mental health disorder. I found my stay very accommodating and the facility was clean. There were several rules and procedures that were put in place to create structure for a daily lifestyle. However, there were some PCAs that were less then hospitable. I would suggest that they give more training to the PCAs to better handle situations that arise when placed in care alongside people who are detoxing off of alcohol and drugs. I would also suggest that the team of staff be on the same page with care for each individual. read more

During my daughter's stay they removed her otter box, proceeded to lose it, agreed to refund once I provided the receipt, I did so through text, email and mail that had to be signed for upon receipt. The loss was in February and it is now the middle of May. The supervisor, would not give her name, only referred to herself as supervisor. Will not communicate or respond to me. This facility exhibits completely inhumane treatment to patients. They withhold belongings and do not provide basic care such as clean clothes and a shower. They do not keep track of medication and patients have to do so themselves for their own safety. They repeatedly hang up when you call the nurses line. This is a form of abuse to any person but especially someone experiencing a mental health crisis. Run away from here, you or your loved one will not be safe at this facility. read more

The PHP program is excellent. The staff in in-patient/hospitalization were really difficult/rude, but if you can ignore that and get thru detox, it's so worth it for the therapists and therapy in the PHP program. It's intense. I'll add however, the therapists that came into hospital for the groups were really good. read more

The fact that Triangle Springs is still in operation is absolutely astonishing. I am dealing with trauma from being essentially kidnapped and locked into a room with insulting staff, nurses in particular, untrained professionals who hand out Librium and Klonopin like candy, and a filthy facility with broken chairs, couches, dead bugs in the rooms, along with some of the most rancid, tiny-portioned food you can imagine. Simply put -- this will effectively put you a step back from getting the physical and mental help you need. In my time here, I witnessed: - A man so drugged up he looked to be in a catatonic state, did not eat or move for an entire 24 hours, had drool down his shirt, had relieved himself more than once while sitting in a chair, and the nurses simply covered his head with a towel. - No interaction with a doctor or 1:1 time with a therapist. The only time I met with a therapist 1:1 was when she tried to get me to sign up for their IOP program, which I declined of course. - If you have halfway decent insurance, you will be admitted. Looking back and now 60 days sober, and in a great IOP program, I realize I did not need full in-patient care. Yet, the 'evaluator' decided I needed the in-patient approach. They did this because they wanted my $$ not because it was actually the appropriate fit. - Such a forced regimen, like not talking and standing in a straight line to walk to the cafeteria (we're not prisoners!). - I spent no more than 1 hour outside a day combined in 15 minute increments within a confined, small outdoor space getting heckled by the two neighboring facilities designed for mental health/suicidal patients - Do NOT believe there is a workout room (there entire marketing pamphlets are a lie). I went once for 15 minutes to run on a treadmill; they are so short-staffed that they could not find someone to monitor us. - The daily agenda (imagine you're in elementary school) was more of a designated checklist to ensure you were attending mediocre meetings run by college grads. They were a complete joke. - I was told I'd be there for 3-4 days...they held me 7 days because they wanted my insurance $$. There is more, but for the essence of available writing space, I will end by saying: DO NOT GO HERE OR SEND A LOVED ONE HERE. read more

1 stayed at this facility for one week in March or April of 2023. I had appointment to see about getting into the partial hospitalization program and ended up being admitted to inpatient because my situation was that bad. First thing after being admitted I had to submit to a urine test and a full body assessment. I was given a thorough rundown of the place by the admitting nurse. I was not allowed to have my phone and I was actually placed in the unit for recovering alcoholics because they didn't have a unit for my exact problem. Overall my stay wasn't bad. The food was really good and everything was clean. I got along great with the other patients and we all looked out for each other. It felt safe. Only time I got really scared is when the one girl got sick and I went into panic mode immediately because I do NOT deal well with that. Anyway the nurses and doctors were pretty nice and always available if you needed anything. The group therapy sessions were amazing and really helped me but it really is a ymmv type situation and not everyone will get the same out of it. The most important thing is you have to put a lot of the work into your recovery yourself because this program will only do but so much to help you. In general you can be inpatient for 3-7 days or longer depending on your personal situation. I was in for 7 days. Afterwards I went to theirs PHP and I was much more at ease because there were way less restrictions and I could have my phone again. Also if you smoke or just want fresh air they let us go outside in a specific area for a few minutes several times a day so that was nice. And that's pretty much it. I rate it a solid 3 and understand fully that not everyone will have the same experience which is to be expected. read more

They offer nothing. The fact that other care facilities recommend them is unexcusable. They don't have any psychiatrist on site, nor offer any medication management. I left their facility after 2 weeks because nothing happened, and I'm still paying for that 3 years later. Don't want to sound like I'm butt hurt, but look for another place to get help. The care quality is mid at best. The office experience, particularly in medical records, is horrible. The management is unprofessional and highly prejudiced. I reported my direct manager for racial harassment and HR told her in front of me! Upper management refuses to do anything about it. The treatment here is inhumane. I have been lied to about my husbands care, he is being told by staff that I don't want to talk to him, they haven't given him the belongings I sent him and he has been in the same dirty clothes since saturday. I have been hung up on multiple times. When I went up there last night they confused him with another paitent and told me he had been violent and was sedated, it wasn't until I looked over the nurses shoulder that I saw they had the wrong file. Then they couldn't find him. They almost overdosed him last night but luckily my husband avocated for himself enough untill they finally found in the computer that he wasn't infact supossed to have more medication. The staff is unbearably rude. I have called the police to figure out what to do because I think his mental health is in more danger being in thier care than if he was not there. If I don't get answers by this evening and he does not get his belongings, I will follow the advice of the police and call dispatch to have them meet me there this evening. read more

We went for outpatient services for my husband and they assessed and said they were committing my husband inpatient. when we explained we were only here for outpatient services, then the said they would do PHP. One day and the outpatient program. they said that a doctor would see him the next day. the next day, he requested several times to see doctor because of his physical medical conditions and they refuse. they did not give him his medications. They said he had to wait until the next day. Come to find out there is rarely a doctor onsite and it is run mostly by a nurse staff only. My husband condition is worse then when he went in now. If you are looking at a facility that will help, not this place, they are only here to fill beds and make money. Not help in even an outpatient crisis. read more

This facility is useless. The treatment I received in IOP and PHP was not helpful and it felt rushed and disorganized. For both IOP programs I attended, they didn't have a full time person for the job, so they had a new therapist come in every day who didn't know anything about us as patients, and didn't know what we had talked about prior. On top of that, expect bills from outside providers you didn't see. The cost they tell you when you enroll is not the true cost of attending. I have fantastic insurance my stay ended up costing ~$700 more than they told me due to consulting fees from outside providers that they don't tell you about. read more

I wish this could be less than a one star. I showed up, prepared to change. They wrote down the wrong vitals on the chart once they realized the insurance I have. Prior to the insurance mention, they didn't care. They were not interested in helping me until they learned my insurance covered the whole stay and suddenly it was a 5-10 day stay versus it not being necessary. Turns out they lied to me, because I got sober on my own with any withdrawals. The hospital I went for withdrawals, in the area, only made me stay 36 hours and stated it wasn't that bad.The main nurse that evaluates, K*ren, is the worst person imaginable. They said the only reason 8 was there was due to hydration probShe accused me of total nonsense that wasn't true. What is the point of accusing me of drugs, which isn't true, when I show up for alcohol detox? She then called me a liar, despise being TOO honest. If I'm being honest about alcohol, why wouldn't I be honest about the rest? Makes no sense to me. This place is a joke. I spent two weeks in this facility 5 years ago and still experience traumatic nightmares from this experience. At the time I went in, I was suffering a high level of stress and drinking too much alcohol. This place sounded like a resort in their advertising. So, I thought this would help me resolve it. Instead, I was locked into the facility, most of my belongings were taken away and the counseling was terrible, It was all 12 step focused and not something I was open to based on my experience. As a result of my reluctance to follow their beliefs and refusing to take suboxone, they decided to put a 72 hour hold on me and refused me food and access to the outdoors. I suffered terrible insomnia but I got through it with prayer and reading. I am sure that revenue was a factor here in holding me for the full stay. I thought about filing a lawsuit against them at the time but I was too traumatized and just trying to get back to a normal life. I'm sure others will experience trauma here and that breaks my heart. I don't think I will ever get over being locked like a prisoner in this place and not sure when I would be free. Please find a better than this for yourself or someone you love. read more

Triangle Springs, get it together. This is not the time for full-blown chaos and deceit. The front desk dodged my questions about time estimates for two hours, and then lied to me to get me in the assessment area where I could no longer leave voluntarily. There I was left alone for an hour (after having already waited two hours), without any interaction, distraction, water or food. I got the fronts desks attention and was told I was not allowed to leave until my assessment had been completed. Their cause for concern was caused by a communication issue within their network. After telling her I wasn't willingly staying any longer, a therapist was sent my way. The therapist coming in did try to comfort me and make me feel safe. However, it was the management and staff's responsibility to make sure communication was clear and that I felt safe throughout. All that damn stress could have been avoided if I had been able to get food and understand that they needed to know I was safe before I left. read more

Where do I even begin with this place. First of all, let me say that my sense is that Triangle Springs is extremely understaffed, so I want to make clear my problem is with the institution at the administrative level, not the staff themselves. I signed up to participate in their outpatient program. They have different administrators calling you from different offices and these offices apparently don't speak to each other. Worse, they don't alert you to the fact that the people calling you are from different offices. So when I showed up to start the IOP, in the waiting room in front of a bunch of other patients, was the first time I was told what I would owe. I was also informed that I was expected to pay up front, and asked if I could pay that. I'm fortunate that I could pay it, but I was SHOCKED that I wasn't given advance notice that I would be asked to pay up front and even MORE shocked that I was asked if I was able to pay it in front of a waiting room of people rather than privately. What if I couldn't pay it? I'd be so embarrassed to have to say that in front of other patients. I hoped the actual counseling sessions would be better, but the program has a hybrid model, some people online and some people in person. It's a disaster. First, the tech wasn't working properly, so we only had a little laptop on a table at the front of the room to see and hear the people online, when it was supposed to be projected on a larger screen overhead. Three weeks into the program this still has not been fixed. It was so alienating and disconnecting I asked if I could just participate online. But that isn't any better because now it's hard for me to hear the people who are in person. The whole hybrid experience makes connecting with the group really hard and Triangle Springs should have one group for virtual participants and a different group for in-person participants. I've asked several times now for a referral to an outside psychiatrist. Still no referral. I asked them to send in updated paperwork for my leave from work. It took them a week to fax it in when it was time-sensitive to begin with and they put the wrong date on the paperwork so I had to go through a slew of administrative phone calls that were time-consuming and stressful. I honestly just want to cry. Triangle Springs should understand they are already dealing with patients who are struggling and this sort of ineffective system is EXTREMELY STRESSFUL AND UPSETTING for anyone but especially for people who are struggling to get out of bed in the morning and function on a basic level. You don't go to IOP otherwise. Everything about this program feels disorganized, and it feels like the staff is too burned out to care about the patients or deal with us thoughtfully. I'm lucky because I had participated in a wonderful IOP in another state before coming to Raleigh, but if Triangle Springs had been my first encounter with an IOP (1) it would have made my anxiety and depression worse, not better, at a time when I was in desperate need of help and (2) I would think all IOPs are completely ineffective. There are other programs in the area. Please do not go to Triangle Springs. Do yourself a favor and find a program with a better reputation. These programs can honestly do MORE DAMAGE when not run properly. There is good quality help available to those who need it; it's just not at Triangle Springs. read more

My daughter was hospitalized here and discharged before she was stable. She came home psychotic and I had to re-admit her elsewhere. TI am a physician with psych experience and her psychiatrist did not want to entertain my thoughts about my daughter's illness. They did not do anything to make her better, and when she proved treatment-resistant, they would not entertain other diagnoses. Spent a total of 6 hours here. 4 hours in the waiting room, 1 hour waiting in the consultation room, 40 minutes of waiting after asking to go home when I still hadn't talked to anyone, and then 20 minutes of actually talking to the professional before being able to go home. Don't bother making an appointment, they won't keep it anyways. I went there voluntarily and by the end of it I was afraid they wouldn't let me go. I will not be going back. Made an appointment for a family member and had barely stepped into the building before the receptionist yelled that they had no beds and couldn't help us and to come back tomorrow. Came back early in the morning and waited five hours only to be told that we shouldn't have been turned away at our previous appointment and they had given away the available beds to people who came after us, and on top of that they let us wait when they were filled up instead of informing us there was no more room. Extremely venerable people are here looking for help and the staff clearly cant be bothered to communicate. People who struggle with mental health and addiction deserve the same basic respect as anyone else and I think Triangle Springs would do well to remember that. read more

They send you out to early from inpatient there is no individual therapy. Then in outpatient and inpatient the therapist mid pronoun mid gender the patients. The therapist generalize everyone in a catagory and trigger and laugh about it. Your complaints are in heard. They don't pay any attention in groups. No individual therapy. It is a waste of money and time! Do not go! They say it is voluntary but if you try to leave they refuse to write you letter to go back to work. I'd like to say, I was referred here for an assessment during a tough time in my life. Once the counselor took me to the back and made sure I packed my belongings in the locker up front, she seemed professional. Once she conducted my Clinical Assessment she went to the back and I needed to go the the bathroom. While attempted to locate it, heard her and two other women making fun of my urban name. Literally jokes. "What kind of name is this???... hahaha" then I overheard someone say, "yes she doesn't qualify to be admitted so let's discharge and refer out. A woman then said "WE can MAKE her qualify to be admitted.. by changing this and this" my heart dropped. This place is full of unprofessionals that need their licenses or lack there of taken honestly. And I, myself, am a clinical therapist. Do NOT go here. I'm ashamed that these people chose this field due to lack of compassion. It's taken everything in me not to sue. With no true proof because I didn't have my phone to record. read more

First of all, a program like staying here for 7-10 days is what YOU make it. They are there to help you detox and get the right meds, it's not a one on one type of therapy but they absolutely do help you get that one on one appointment with a doctor when you discharge. If you are complaining about the PCA's or RN's it's because you didn't read the rules before you were taken to your unit and you're not getting your way or what you want, these guys deal with the worst of the worst and don't know you from jack but do everything they can to keep you comfortable and safe and get what you need while you are there. There is tons of group therapy and activity and AA and just getting to know everyone on your unit and how they become you're part time family is wonderful. Ivan and Johnny are THE BEST! I have learned more in my 7 days than I have any where and will hold on to forever. I would recommend this center for anyone who volunteers or is involuntary, you are treated with same kindness and I pray I never have to walk those doors again unless I'm there to help or volunteer with my process and experience in a group.
