I used TP4W in my 2021/2022 pregnancy and birth and I cannot recommend them. They constantly put their own agendas in our conversations, rarely acted like they listened, and were aggressive with their views while discounting mine (Jessica). They rarely could schedule me to meet everyone on staff due to their own fault and so I ended up seeing the two pushiest ones. One of the doctors (Sheshadri), upon finding I was a surrogate, said right in front of the parents, "Even if you're a shitty person, you'll go straight to heaven for that". Tasteless. I also saw the Duke MFM that's one floor apart that they referred me to. Yet their OBs (Rogers) disrespected and dissed Duke's MFMs and their opinions about my birth options. They said, "We deliver babies, they don't." And, "I don't trust their ultrasounds, we are going to give you another one today." Their midwives are in name only with their views, they think like typical OBs - very pro intervention. What's strange is most the things I asked for that they discounted or ignored during the OB visits, they must have written down somewhere. Because during birth, the on call midwife who I never met before recalled most of them and respected them. That is where I'll give the 2 stars. They let me get off pitocin since I was contracting well on my own, which I requested at multiple appointments. I'd been surprised because the midwife at the appointment said they wouldn't do that because, "If you stop contracting that's a failed induction. Which is ludicrous, since that's what happened and nothing "failed". The contractions spaced out off pitocin so the on call mdiwfe let me know after 2-3 hours and we just restarted a low dose and baby came a few hours later. It gave my body time to rest and splash in the bath and renewed me for the final few hours. However, other things the on-call midwife (Angela/Angie) was so pushy on I literally was shaking in fear. I'd ask for no water broken and yet she mentioned it multiple times. So when she was checking me that's when I shook because I told her I was afraid she'd break it against my will! Talk about feeling unsafe. She also yelled at me during pushing. Look, II'd pushed out 3 babies prior and I said "no coached pushing" on my birth plan. You don't have to yell! And she inserted her fingers in me while I was pushing without consent, just did it! She was seeing if I was pushing right I suppose, because then she yelled "No, no!" at me. I was unhappy with my care, unhappy with that part of my birth (I think I'd been happier if she'd just supported me during pushing with positive reinforcement or quiet). Needless to say, the next birth I went without another provider and had much better care when we I was always listened to and a good positive birth experience with no fear or yelling and everything asked for with consent! read more

They have amazing doctors, like Dr. Seshadri and Dr. Cooper, but they are hindered by one of the worst support staffs ever, especially the front desk team. Most of the positive reviews highlight the doctors rather than the service, and by now, they should have noticed this pattern and taken action read more

Do not receive care at this office!! I was hopeful and excited about starting my care for my first pregnancy at Triangle Physicians for Women. It had been challenging to find a provider that was accepting new clients in the area. I filled out all the necessary paperwork and forms prior to my first visit. My husband and I arrived 20 minutes early to the appointment, as instructed, just in case there was any other paperwork to complete as a new patient. We waited 45 minutes past my appointment time with no one checking in on me, with a whole room of other patients coming and going before me. I went up to the desk to ask if I'd be seen soon. I was not brought back for the first part of my point until almost an hour after my scheduled appointment time. What followed was a rushed visit, going to 5 different rooms all over the building with no guidance, having to change into a hospital gown twice, with each rushed visit ending with another 15 minutes in the waiting room. Taking to the OB coordinator was a chore. She was rude, dismissive, and condescending. When asking about what food restrictions I was practicing during my pregnancy, she interrupted me mid-sentence, stating her favorite part of the job was 're-educating women on what they can actually have', which was just information I already knew (in significantly less detail). She immediately suggested I take unnecessary medications. I was given a 'care package' from the practice filled with corporate sponsored pamphlets and sales letters. In particular, the baby formula was a very cheap variety with vegetable oil as a main ingredient. As a deeper issue, they were constantly selling things to us the whole time. There were product advertisements in the waiting room, in all the literature they gave me, and most egregiously, they pushed me to take several medications despite a completely healthy pregnancy and no risk factors for potential issues. It felt like they were only interested in how much money they could get out of us, which left a bad taste in my mouth. Because I was seen late, I didn't even get to see the doctor I had scheduled my appointment with (I would have seen her if anything had been on time). I was seen by one of the practice's midwives who rushed through my care and physical and included an unnecessary pelvic exam I did not ask for. I was understandably upset, but although I asked for tissues and a moment to breathe, the midwife continued the exam unfazed by my distress. It was an awful and humiliating experience where we felt like cattle being pushed through the line. At no point did I feel cared for, nor did I trust in the competence or knowledge of this team at any turn. To cap everything off, their online portal for billing and to see my test results is broken and refuses to log me in. And to my astonishment, a week after this awful experience, I received a letter from the office terminating my care for no discernible reason. Despite the terrible treatment, I was never rude or curt with anyone. Do NOT go with this practice. Enough said. read more

Have always seen Jessy and love her dedication and time she gives me every time, I never feel rushed!, she is very knowledgeable and takes time to listen to my concerns. triangle physician for women in Cary told me they could no longer offer their service to me just because I REFUSE to be diagnosed with gestational diabetes. I asked for them to test me and confirm before making any diagnostic but the DOCTOR SAID I QUOTE. Well you are black and had a history of PCOS so yea you are definitely at high Rick for gestational diabetes and no we won't let you do the glucose test to confirm You had a slight high sugar level from your regular check up weeks ago so we are using that. Well my black #ss needs a black doctor that will confirm any diagnostic before asking me to take any medication. They are not only RACIST but don't care about anything but money. read more

I wish I could give zero stars. This clinic seems to care more about $$ than their patients. Maybe they were just singling me out because I have the balls to stand up for myself (going on almost 2 years). They've screwed me over by charging me nearly $2,000 for bills that were proven covered by my insurance. They still haven't corrected their major f-up and even falsely reported to the credit bureaus, which has screwed me over in several other ways! Then my husband started to step in since I was being disrespected and so they sent me a certified mail letter saying they are unable to continue providing services to me. This practice is not a good place to go if you want to feel valued and respected as a woman. I have had multiple negative experiences, including: Nexplanon insertion on my left arm - I was not numbed properly, and Dr. Ronald Rogers inserted the steel bar into my arm when I had full sensation - was extremely painful. He also had no information to provide me when I menstruated for almost 2 months straight - just blew me off, essentially having the triage nurse let me know that I'd either have to continue suffering or get it removed. So, I decided to try seeking out advice from Dr. Grana, and she was quick to suggest me trying out Estradiol, which worked. However, she required me to visit the practice after the first month's prescription, where she dipped out on me last minute because of a family emergency and left me to Dr. Maredia to fill in. This was the most unnecessary appointment of my life. Dr. Maredia took me to her personal office and had a 3 minute conversation with me about information I already knew, and then wrote my 6 month prescription for Estradiol just to get me to my next annual appointment. This appointment could have been completely over the phone as no examination was done on me whatsoever, and would have saved me $100. This practice is COMPLETELY money hungry and does not care about their patients' health and well-being. I will not be returning after MULTIPLE bad experiences; I am so discouraged by this practice. read more

I am extremely unhappy with the customer service at this practice. I have been with them since I found out I was pregnant with my son. Now 3, and I had a horrible experience. They were not accommodating AT ALL. Now 3 years later I am on antidepressants and they are giving me the HARDEST TIME about refilling my prescription without coming in for a follow up first. I called multiple times today only to be blown off and told the doctor was unavailable. THIS IS A PRESCRIPTION YOU CANNOT SUDDENLY STOP TAKING. they gave zero urgency to assist my needs and never returned my phone call after saying they would. Now I have to find a way to get my prescription filled asap...this is absolutely ridiculous. I'm just angry rtping at this point...DO NOT GO HERE! read more

The midwives are great always willing go answer questions and help ease any concerns. They've always been very responsive via email. If you want to be dismissed and confused during peri- menopause and menopause this is the practice for you!! I have invested over 10 years in this practice, my children were delivered by these doctors. I had an excellent experience at that time. But it is clear to me my condition no longer serves them and I am on my own. I feel only the high revenue producing patients are important to this practice--specifically babies, botox, and surgeries. It is a patient mill and there is little money to be made in office consults. So expect important test results to be dumped onto the patient portal for you to ponder and guess at the meaning of them. There is no follow up discussion of test results with your physician. Unless you can squeeze a question into your 20 minute annual exam--after the breast exam, pap, and pelvic exam are complete. Was it unrealistic that my gynecologist support and educate me through this process?? Not everyone has a mother or aunt they can ask. Looking back now--the cycle issues I had over the last 5 years were peri menopause symptoms. and the yet the doctor --NOT ONCE--ever mentioned the word to me. Even a menopause pamphlet in the waiting area would be a help. The biggest favor they could do for me at this point is refer me to a real menopause clinician or suggest a book where I could educate myself at home. Shouldn't be this way. Dr. S is absolutely AMAZING. I had my 2nd (planned) C-cestion with Dr. S. and he did such a wonderful job. All of the nurses that checked on my incisions at the hospital kept commenting on how good of a job Dr. S. does. I had little pain and downtime and you can hardly see any scar. I've been going here for a few years and absolutely love Dr. Rogers. I've never waited an extremely long time when going in for an annual like a lot of the complaints on here. His assistant is nice and I have usually had very pleasant experiences at this office. I have an appointment today that I have had to reschedule twice (both my fault). I've had an insurance balance BOTH times I was scheduled. I told the person who scheduled me BOTH times I would set up a payment plan when I came in to be seen. BOTH times this was ok. When I scheduled this appointment I was told I couldn't be scheduled unless I paid my balance. That's weird, I said because I've had the balance and had two other appointments scheduled. The person scheduling me clearly was irritated and put me on hold while she spoke to someone else. She got back on the phone and told me she could not schedule me without payment. Ok, can you transfer me to someone who can work out my payment plan? She did and I was told, AGAIN that I'd have to pay in full before I can be seen. Fine, I paid. Also just to be clear this balance wasn't thousands of dollars. I work at a doctors office I understand paying for the doctors time, etc. but honestly I have never felt like it was all about the money until now. I've had NUMEROUS calls and emails about coming in for my appointment, as well as Dr. Rogers assistant personally calling me to schedule. Yet when I try to schedule, I can't because of a small insurance balance? Seems crazy. I'm going to my appointment today and once again, love my doctor and his assistant. I will be going elsewhere next year though to hopefully find a place that cares about my health and not just my payment. read more

I came to triangle physicians for women to deliver my second child. Here are some points I would like to make about why I give them a two star rating: They are always over booked and slow, they NEVER saw me on time regardless of how early I showed up for my appointments. Expect to be here no less than an hour and a half every time you have a scheduled appointment (Cary office) - even if the total time they see you is only for 5 minutes. I was never once seen on time and was always waiting in a room for the doctor to see me for at least 45 minutes. I wish I was over exaggerating. I came to this practice after being referred by my previous OB who is no longer practicing, to a specific OB here who I could never get scheduled with despite having voiced concerns that I wanted to see her as my OB and have her to delivery my baby, and until I pitched an absolute fit to only see her and agree to be seen farther out than is recommended between appointments, was I finally able to keep seeing her as my primary OB. The nurse, who works the front desk on one side of the practice (there are two entrances and therefor two check-in desks, depending on which provider you are seeing) is always rude and has an attitude. If I wasn't already 15 & 1/2 weeks along with a high risk pregnancy (the reason my previous OB referred me to this practice is because I have a history of high risk pregnancies and miscarriages) with a considerable hemorrhage I absolutely would have changed OBs. Unfortunately it wasn't worth risking the babies life, my life, or finding an OB that was worth reliving everything with to explain the ins and outs of my high risk pregnancy to have a nurse and practice that were kind and listen when I voiced my opinions. If I were going to be having another baby after this one, I 100% would be looking for another OB and will not be coming back to this practice for my annual physicals, etc. Forcing me to put a card on file for "bills" even though my deductible and out of pocket costs for the year have already been met. Didnt perform genetic testing at 10 weeks even though I had requested it. I had to remind THEM at 16 weeks that it had not been performed. Unlike other OB offices they let me know that I would be receiving an email from a third party that would include the results of this test after 10-14 days. After 21 days I still had not received the initial confirmation email from this third-party who would be providing me with the results. I had to call the OB's office and have them hunt down why I didn't receive the results, and then provide them over the phone to me when I was already 19 weeks pregnant - the genetic results weren't going to make a different to me or my husband, but I know that for some people it might, and I would have preferred to have had longer to prepare and do research had something been amiss according to the results. I will say that the OB I saw here (once I was able to start seeing her) was phenomenal. She is incredibly kind, always took the time to explain things to me in detail and kept mine and my babies health top priority. I wish she was at a different practice so that I could see her without dealing with this offices drama. She even saw to it that she was the one to deliver my baby instead of anyone else at the practice. She was my only good experience here and the reason that the practice is receiving two stars instead of one. read more

Total waste of time after trusting their misleading website! After searching for a doctor to see for Bio-identical HT, I found this website talking about just that and how it's made by a compounding pharmacy....exactly what I was looking for. I made an appt with Dr. Sheshadri only to have him tell me the horrors of non-FDA approved pellets while he instead tried to encourage me to go for labs so that he could prescribe FDA approved medications. I explained I was specifically there to discuss the non-FDA approved pellets and be treated with the bio-identical, further explaining I thought I saw on their website that they used such. He explained no (which left me feeling I had lost my mind) and continued to tell me horrors about how 'compounding pharmacies' with non FDA approved drugs where really meds just made in someones basement or garage. I will drive much further now and make an appointment with my friends doctor in another town that she has had great success with. read more

Every single person I interacted with, from the front desk to the providers, was professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly kind. They provided excellent care during my pregnancy and delivery and made me feel safe and heard during what could have been a stressful time. Dr. Lisa Grana wants to perform a vulva biopsy on me. When Dr. Grana told me this news I said no and shook my head. She said, "yes, we have to do it." As you and I both know as patients we don't have to do anything we don't feel comfortable doing. She know I was not wanting to do it but there was no reassuring that everything was gonna be just fine. Think about it, lidocaine in the vulva to numb it (which we all know is a very sensitive area and lidocaine stings) and then take a biopsy of your vulva. To me, that is barbaric as hell doing it in the office. I would rather be sedated. That was not an option. No a warm fuzzy at all. Please know that there are other options for making this procedure more comfortable. read more

I wish I could give this place a good rating but I simply cannot. I've visited many times throughout the years and unfortunately nothing has changed. The front desk ladies were very nice, and everyone was courteous but the doctors all seem to be just trying to get you in and out the door with no real understanding of your issue. My last visit was for a partially ruptured cyst a radiologist had found during a CT scan. Upon arrival the CNA took my vitals and started asking me questions, she said her chart said I was there for "pain" in my abdomen, which was completely untrue. I had told them about the cyst my GI doctor had found on my CT scan and she laughed at me, like it was a joke, she then said "well if its ruptured then its gone, there is nothing we can do" as if she is a doctor and has made the final call. I told her, "well that is why I'm here and I'd like to get a scan to be sure". My family has a history of cancer and so I take anything like this very seriously. She then proceeded to tell me that she hadn't setup a room and wasn't prepared, which was astounding considering I didn't work there and I don't know why she would tell me this? Did she expect me to say, Oh just forget it and leave? She asked me to wait and setup a room, which took all of 5 minutes top, then the doctor who had been briefed with her diag-nonsense came in and scanned me with a sonogram, and basically said the same thing she had already said, there is nothing there and I am completely healthy. "The radiologist must have mistaken a follicle for a cyst". So I asked him if this was a normal thing, do radiologist make these kind of mistakes often? And he went on this basic explanation about how they aren't ob/gyn and they can't read xrays properly for that type of issue. Which makes sense, but I was completely floored by how uncaring they were on the issue. The thing is, I shouldn't have been to surprised considering what they did to me two years prior when I had a miscarriage. They acted like I was pretending it happened, and I ended up waiting over two hours for a blood test, only to be told "you should have went to the emergency room". Which I didn't do because I was only 8 weeks along, and this had happened to me before. I have given this place many tries, and I have seen three doctors here. I am not impressed and will not be returning. read more

They gave an estimate for care that was completely wrong, did not stand behind the tpa numbers, gave a "final" bill and then after the baby was born billed us again. I cannot speak highly enough of this entire office. They have delivered two of my babies now, and handled a few other things for me. The entire team makes you feel special, and I cannot imagine the number of patients they have. I am partial to Dr. Sheshadri (he delivered me 2x), but I saw Dr. Rogers and Heather the nurse practitioner too. They are honest, they are kind, and most of all patient. Front desk does have some turnover, but again can't speak highly enough of the Doctor's and their assistants. read more

I have been to a lot of OB doctors. Moving back and forth between Florida and here. I was sexually assaulted two years ago and had not seen an obgyn since. It was even scarier to me that it was a male. Dr. Rogers was quick, gentle and professional. The staff that greeted me was the same. I also have then nexplanon implant for birth control. It can be a nightmare to get changed. I'm squeamish and have a lot of anxiety. Again he was quick, gentle and it was pretty much painless. Previous experiences at other doctors have been horrendous. I don't leave reviews often but I definitely recommend this doctor for younger women and people who find themselves anxious during an examination or procedure like birth control change. I am usually quite anxious about women's health appointments, but the doctor, nurse and practice manager I saw were so friendly and comforting - I felt like I was visiting with friends. Goodness, I wasn't going to write a review but it just keeps getting worse. I'll try and keep it short but as a first time mom-to-be, I would not recommend this place. First appointment went well. Carly and the front desk ladies are so nice. The second appt was so long (2.5+ hours) and I was shuffled from small room to small room without knowing who I was meeting next or what was being done. Met my first midwife and she was abrasive and I didn't get a single word or question in. There were some very weird things said by her that I don't feel like typing out. I left feeling so overwhelmed and defeated. Had a last minute appointment two weeks later bc I had something going on and that morning they said there was a dr in the office that day and she was avail at 10:30... 11:10ish I'm finally brought back to a room and told she will be in momentarily, 11:30 no one has checked on me and I needed to get back to work so I got dressed and went to the front desk and explained the situation. They were baffled and said they would try and figure out what's going on. I say don't worry about it bc I have to go and at that moment a nurse runs out and says the dr is avail to see me but i just left. That evening I received a notification for a summary of my appt and it said that the doctor was in the ER bc she was on call and I was impatient and refused to reschedule. No one communicated any of that with me during my hour long wait. Guess they had to put it in the file so it looked like they weren't in the wrong?! I decided to switch providers and I'm much happier. Last week I got an email saying I had an outstanding balance of $200+ with no explanation from TP4W. It got paid automatically and I didn't feel like dealing with them but just now I got ANOTHER email saying I owe another $100+ without any explanation... I've been trying to get ahold of Lisa since my first visit bc they couldn't figure out my insurance and she never returned any of my calls so I doubt she will return my call today asking for an explanation of these charges. Don't go here. Added stress when you're pregnant is no bueno read more

I called and made an appointment at the Holly Springs location....that was easy enough. They supposedly verified my insurance. However, once I got to the Holly Springs location they said it wasn't verified and made me pay $203 out of pocket. And then Lisa, the receptionist, gave me a tablet and clipboard and told me to start filling out some information and take it back with me. An hour after our appointment we're still sitting in the lobby waiting to be called back for my daughter's appointment. The receptionist, Lisa was lazy, as well as not wanting to put out any kind of effort to verify our insurance and then she tried to lie...saying she told me something she clearly did not. You would clearly think the rudeness was over...but no the nurse, after I called another office location was still very rude to me. Do not go to this location. They put little effort into anything I've seen so far, but are plenty rude and untrustworthy. Good luck. Thank goodness this wasn't my OB-GYN!!! read more

If I could give them 0 stars I would. It has taken nearly two years for me to even get over my traumatic experience enough to even write this. I saw every doctor and midwife. Most were uncaring, made many mistakes, and did not show ample care for the pain and hardship I was put through during and after my birth. I have spoken to several doctors since that were appalled by my birth experience, and what I was put through. They will treat you well, until you have a difficulty, and then you are on your own. We've been going the Triangle OBGYN since 2009. The same people merged with Another company and formed Triangle Physicians for Women. We are on baby #3 and couldn't be more pleased. The midwives are amazing - our regulars are Jessica, Mary Charles, Heather and the others have retired. Our fav Doctor is Dr Vulgaropolis (Dr V). He is a quiet and soft spoken man but really compassionate. We lost a baby and he left a client down the hall to come console and encourage us. That really meant a lot. Dr V has seen a lot of my other mommy friends and they feel the same way. The new office is huge and the stag is great and friendly, as well. read more

The staff is amazing, but they just don't have enough midwives. You only need a midwife on one day, and it's really scary when they don't show up for hours during labor, even when there are complications. The nurses who were with us knew something was wrong and called our mw for hours before she showed up and immediately diagnosed the problem and expertly delivered our baby. Again, the mw are top notch, but they don't do a lot of good if they aren't in the building when you are giving birth. As if to illustrate my point, the midwife left us for 4hrs waiting to be discharged and finally sent a nurse in her place. I understand she was dealing with another patient, and I cannot fault her, but the bottom line is that Triangle Midwives are UNDERSTAFFED. If you are ok rolling the dice and hoping your mw is there to deliver your baby, then use them. read more

I recently delivered our first born with the staff at TPW and we have loved the care and expertise that we received from start to finish with them. We saw nearly all the doctors and midwives and personally preferred the midwives they have on staff. They offered great care, were understanding and open to our decisions for birth, and were honest about tough things. We used hypnobabies for our birth and they were all very supportive of our decisions to go this route. We loved the fact that when delivering you first begin with a midwife seeing and caring for you throughout labor, if a situation occurs where you need a doctor then one will be present, but you begin with the midwife first. We never saw a doctor throughout our labor and it was perfect. Towards the end of my pregnancy I had some high blood pressure after a completely normal and healthy pregnancy. They worked through our options with us and monitored me and the baby closely till my 39th week. At that point they noticed our baby was still healthy but my placenta was not offering him proper nutrients and my fluid levels were on the low side. They offered to let me keep going with lots of monitoring but also gave me the option of an induction. Jessie worked with us to figure out the best options for me to keep my goal of the most natural and low intervention birth. She checked me and found I had a bishop score to indicate I could still have the type of delivery I wanted even with an induction. We ultimately scheduled it a few days later. Jessie was on staff that day and we had a perfectly healthy and awesome birth. The induction was done as naturally as possible and it was a quick 3.5 hour labor with a small tear (thanks to her helping with pushing and stretching). Though not typical, Jessie was amazing and being in control and making me feel supported and allowed me to deliver in a position that felt good to me in that moment. She also was so right about their concerns about my placenta...it looked like a 42 week placenta even though I was at 39 weeks and they said it would have only been a short time that our little guy would have been thriving and able to handle a natural delivery like he did. So more or less because of their great care they were able to help me achieve a healthy delivery that I wanted and we couldn't have been more happy with them their team through this process. Yes it is a big office but find one or two of the care providers you like and you should be fine. They have a great team trying to do great work. read more

Phew... this is a tough one to rate! The staff is friendly and seems competent but is grossly overshadowed by the most unbelievable time management skills. I have worked in physicians offices, hospitals and personally held my own appointments and have never seen anything quite like this. I assume when making an appointment for a specific time that my time will be acknowledged and respected and this is most certainly not the case at TP4W! I am currently 19 weeks pregnant and my last two appointments have been delayed without much explanation. My husband leaves work and I have to bring our 2 year old son to appointments so not only am I inconvenienced but my whole family is as well! Our last appointment we waited 50 minutes to be seen for our Ultrasound and then another 20 minutes to see the provider. Not only am I dissapointed by waiting but it was our big anatomy scan and was rushed through by the ultrasound tech. Their terrible mismanagement of time led to my family being robbed of what was supposed to be a truly special experience getting to see our little girl. The worst part about this is that this isn't the first time we've been treated this way. The appointment prior we waited 25 minutes for Ultrasound and 45 minutes to see the provider! I have even had a co-worker who also uses TP4W who left her appointment after almost an hour without ever being seen. The providers do well but the office needs a serious change! I have been going here since 2007. Every time I have my yearly appointment I must wait close to an hour to be seen. Not sure, why I make an established appointment??? While I was waiting for the Dr. to come into the patient room, all I heard was several employees laughing and talking about their personal holiday stories, this went on for a good half an hour??? Not very professional when you have clients in the rooms waiting to be seen. Wasn't the best visit. read more

My review is long but I want to make sure you all understand how TRULY GREATTTT everyone in this office is!!!! I've been to a just a few different OB/GYN offices, & I have seen too many different OB/GYN in just those few different offices, but let me tell you all that I have never once had such an amazing experience as I have here!! Absolutely every single one of the people that work in this office are so incredibly WONDERFUL!! I've had some issues (not related to this office or the staff) that have caused my husband & myself to always have a bit of anxiety when I go for an appointment but everyone is always so incredibly helpful & kind regardless of any situation! Dr.Spyro Vulgaropulos is INCREDIBLE!! He makes me feel so much more comfortable than even the women OB/GYNs I have seen in the past, at other practices! He's always super informative & answers every question without a problem, & he actually shows that he CARES! Most importantly for me, he is the same doctor I see at every single appointment!!! I am never made to see anyone else & that is such a huge difference in experience for me, & the besttttt experience ever!!!! Kim is THE BESTTTT!!!! She's who's always in with me when I visit!! Her personality is phenomenal!!! She's alwaysss super sweet & the most caring person!!!! She remembers who I am every time I walk in there & always has a smile on her face!! She really maximizes the comfort level & makes me feel like I'm a friend & not just a patient!! That to me is so incredibly important to me!!!!! Kim, I appreciate you so much!!! Linda & Chelsea in the billing department have been incredibly helpful & always so incredibly sweet as well!!! For starters, I was recommended by a friend to go see this particular MD. I am a patient at the Waverly Place office. I'm a charge nurse at a local outpatient practice, and am familiar with the process (check in, go to a room, wait for MD, see MD, check out). As a nurse, I know there is never an excuse to be rude or condescending to patients, nor would the way I was treated ever be tolerated by myself or my nurse manager. I checked in on time, and it was a very simple, pleasant experience. The woman at the desk was nice and prompt, and I had no complaints at all. I was taken back a little past my scheduled time, but understand this happens when things get behind. I spent most of the time waiting in the actual procedure room for the MD to see me. This was a routine pap smear, and the MD did not tell me what he was doing. He performed a digital rectal exam without any warning. Very unprofessional. I understand this was part of his exam, but I have never had it done before (and have had regular pap smears since I was a teenage girl), so he should have told me what he was about to do. Had he just communicated this, I would have been prepared and OK with this. I waited beyond my scheduled time just to be rushed through my exam. I had questions about birth control and most were answered, but they were short, one liners. It was obvious to me I was preventing the MD from seeing his next patient. I took the hint, and said I'd like to go ahead and have the IUD put in as soon as possible. I was told "They will help you schedule this appointment up front." When I get to the desk to check out, I am greeted with a nasty attitude, no eye contact, and quick, short responses to questions. I was interrupted with my question to be asked, "last name?" I told her I wanted to schedule another appointment to have my IUD put in, which was quickly shot down, before the words made it out of my mouth, with a loud, rude "No you have to wait for billing," followed by an eye roll. Apparently, we are all supposed to know this information and are not allowed to ask their front desk staff any questions. Overall, very negative experience with poor patient communication. Seems this office is making collected insurance cards and rushing people through. Very little care or concern for their patients. I will not be returning and find someone that can offer a little more compassion. I did not mention that I was a nurse or charge nurse or any profession in the medical field. I mention it now because this behavior is not acceptable or professional, and I've been on the other side of the counter, and would never treat a patient how I was treated. read more

I am 34 weeks pregnant, and Triangle Physicians for Women (TPW) has been the provider of my prenatal care for the duration of this pregnancy. I chose Triangle Physicians for Women due to good reviews, and word of mouth. I have not been all that happy with my care, and would give Triangle Physicians for Women an overall "C" rating. I would not recommend Triangle Physicians for Women to friends and family. Triangle Physicians for Women is your typical "assembly line" health care system. Even when my doctor wanted to get creative or personalized with my prenatal care, she struggled against a system that wants "one size fits all" treatment. If you have no issues during your pregnancy, and do not expect/desire much time to discuss anything with your doctor, this assembly line system should be sufficient for your needs. The office environment is clean, and the secretarial staff was always friendly and courteous to me upon arrival and exit of my appointments. Before every appointment you are sent an e-mail requesting you fill out a "medical history" form. If you do not do this before the visit, there are computers in the waiting room, and they will request you complete one before being seen. Parking is an issue. There have been multiple occasions where I have had to park across the street due to the main parking lot in front of TPW's building being full. Most of the doctors and midwives at this practice are fine, with my personal favorites being: Lisa Marguerite Grana (M.D.), Mary Charles Sutphin (C.N.M.), and Jessica Ramirez-Trower (C.N.M.). I have seen almost everyone at this practice, except for two midwives, and the three male doctors. The practice encourages patients to schedule an appointment with all of their various doctors and midwives, largely due to the fact that you will not know who will attend your birth (it will be the midwife and doctor on call during the day you go in to labor). However, if you prefer to only see the doctors, midwives, women, or even the same provider (it has been my experience at this time) that it can be done (especially if you have a flexible schedule). I had a preference to only see female care providers, and thus far, it has not been an issue (just make sure to specify your preferences when scheduling appointments, and the office staff can usually accommodate you). Wait times are a problem. I have waited for an hour -TWICE- for an appointment. Occasionally, I will only wait a minute or two for care. However, I would say the average wait time at Triangle Physicians for Women is closer to 30 - 45 minutes. I tend to schedule my appointments for the afternoon, so this may not be as big of an issue for morning appointments (when the doctors and midwives have not had a chance to "get behind schedule" in appointments yet). Communication is unclear at every turn at Triangle Physicians for Women. I have had staff not inform me of a necessary, routine, glucose test (which the front desk made me pick-up before the scheduled appointment). I have been told that at the next appointment I would be scheduled for the TDAP vaccination, only to have to remind them (twice). I have had appointments with specific providers scheduled, only to show up and have providers switched on me (this has occurred several times). The "lab" located in the TPW building is contracted, and thus, the doctors and office staff have little understanding or communication between the two departments. Not to mention, that unless you consistently see the same doctor or midwife, each staff member has a different reaction/recommendation for care (so there is no consistency amongst providers). Time with your care provider feels rushed due to the volume and style of assembly line care at Triangle Physicians for Women. This was not really a problem for me, until complications arose in my pregnancy, and then it felt like I was fighting against the clock to ask my doctor questions, and have a dialogue with them about my prenatal care. Not to mention, having to "catch up" each midwife and doctor about my situation, each time I had an appointment with a different care provider than the previous encounter. If "cookie cutter" prenatal care is not an issue for you, and you do not mind long wait times, than Triangle Physicians for Women may be sufficient for your needs. Some of the staff are quite good, and the office environment is nice. I give Triangle Physicians for Women an overall "C" rating. read more

Had surgery with Dr. Vulgaropolis. First he was several hours late to the surgery and they couldn't get ahold of him. Then I was having severe pain after the surgery and complications. I called the next two days and only midwives were in and they could not help me. They would not have the doctor call me. They told me if I was in pain to go to the ER. I ended up having to do that and there was definitely complications going on. I ended up having to pay for the hospital visit out of pocket. I called to speak to the practice manager about how rude the nurses and midwives were, that they refused to leave a message for the doctor to call me back, and they caused me to run up a huge bill at the ER. The practice manager was the rudest of all and told me her staff told her about me calling the past two days and that they wouldn't have me any longer as a patient. Can you believe that?! I didn't even get a follow up appointment I was required to have! The doctor didn't call and check up or anything. Horrible practice that just cares about money more than patients. Glad I wasn't pregnant! read more
