If you need help with your garage door/opener, I highly recommend you check out Triangle Garage Doors. I just bought my house six months ago. It was built in 2024. My garage door opener stopped working. I first called the company that installed the unit (Custom Door & Gate). I was told that it only came with a one year warranty, so there was no coverage. They wanted to charge me $169 just to come look at the unit. No thanks. I called another company (Garage Door Specialist). They sent a tech who told me I should replace the whole unit. I wanted to get a second opinion. So I called Triangle Garage Doors. Roy (owner) was wonderful. He reassured me that having a tech come out was the smart thing to do. Dimitri came out. He was beyond helpful. Rather than trying to get me to buy a new unit, he called the manufacturer. Turns out, my unit is still under warranty. Wow! Dimitri dealt with the phone rep, got my parts ordered, and will be coming back to do the installation. As an older, single woman, I have been taken advantage of several times. It's awful. But Roy and Dimitri took great care of me, and they're saving me a lot of money. I recommend this company wholeheartedly. For what it's worth, the two companies that tried to rip me off were Custom Door & Gate (did the original installation) and Garage Door Specialist. Shame on Custom Door & Gate for not standing behind their service at all. They should have contacted the manufacturer for me, instead of another company. Dameon was prompt, friendly, and accomodating. He did a good job in anlyzing the issue and fixing our garage door. He gave us short / long term recommendations regarding our older garage door unit that might need replacing at some point in time. No unneccessary upsell or pressure selling. Also pointed out part of the maintaining a sound unit when it comes to replacing the unit is to also get and annual maintenance and fine tunning service as part of the warranty coverage. He went into detail of what was broken along with recommendations for repair for long term use. I was pleased with the time frame of service and the ability to do weather stripping with no additional time added due to parts being available on truck. This led to a quick service and garage operating back like new. Roy went further by checking the sensitivity of the garage opener and make necessary adjustment to ensure longevity of newly installed parts and garage usage. With the repair and minor adjustments made, the garage operates better than ever and is not as loud; however if I want less noise I will have to go to a belt drive and non-DIY garage opener. Did a great job, quickly, and for a reasonable price. I was called about 30 minutes prior to arrival, and Area was left tidy and all old components were removed. Main concern is that I was informed by phone that we could repair for (trusting memory) $159 + parts which they would have in the truck or could get, or replace for between $500 and $800 depending on the level of garage door we got. Upon the next day arrival, the service technician, who was very pleasant and professional, said that they did not have the motor, and the motor was very likely old enough that it was better to replace. We got the lowest end replacement, which still very much meets our needs, and were informed it was $600, even after the coupon/discount that was discussed ahead of time. It was explained that the $159 charge for the trip was included regardless, which was NOT what was explained on the phone. We are very satisfied with the new unit, and I don't think the price was completely unreasonable, I just would've appreciated hearing the same story on the phone as I did at the service visit. For $600, we got a new garage door opener with VERY bright LED lights front and back, new chains and rails, new sensors, keypad outside the garage, two remotes, and the in garage push button, as well as an app for operation and both cars reprogrammed. read more

My garage door is now working. That's good. The techs arrived (late) and we talked about doing a preventive maintenance on the other garage door which was going to cost $85 extra dollars. They were done fixing the other door and doing the PM in less than 30 minutes. I asked them about the PM - they didn't lubricate the spring, because they said it might do more harm than good, they didn't check the motor; both of which I thought were the basis of the PM. They tightened a few bolts for $85 ? In all the work was good, but I think I got taken for some extra work and fees that didn't need to be (weren't?) done. read more

Without warning, the spring on our garage door broke, making it impossible to open the garage door. This left us, two 74-year olds, quite anxious as we were now, literally, trapped without being able to get our cars out in an emergency. It was late in the afternoon, and I really didn't expect to have anyone come out until the next day at the earliest. However, when I called Triangle Garage Door, the owner's wife completely sympathized with our situation. She promised to get someone there ASAP, if at all possible. Within two hours, their truck pulled up, and by an hour later, new springs and rollers had been installed. I am extremely grateful to these kind folks for jumping on the call. These guys showed up on time but after checking with 2 other garage door companies, they charged a price more than double the price of what others quoted. Lessons learned: The technician stated it was necessary to remove the spring before measuring which was required to quote the price. - WRONG, spring can be measured while in place and after tension is removed, they did this to keep the deal and make it inconvenient to say no The technician told me the replacement spring had to be made custom, but he just happened to have a set of springs that size for a custom job he would be installing tomorrow. RRRIIIIGGGGHHHHHTTTT! I finally negotiated them down to about $200 higher than the competing companies. My excessive cost can be of value to others. Call Hanson or Overhead Door company and get additional quotes before committing to these guys. read more

Roy was outstanding! I booked the appointment online which makes the service call and estimate free. Our garage door would not close properly as the cable kept coming off the spool on one side. He adjusted the spring which fixed that problem and replaced the rollers on the track in less than an hour. He even talked me out of replacing our older automatic opener as he didn't think it was necessary. I had the company come up out to fix my gargage door for a boken wire. They seemed to be pretty nice, and quick to respond. Immediately when the service person arrived, I was told I needed to buy new rollers. Triangle Garage Doors had replaced these rollers 5 years earlier. The wire was a problem and they had to come back to repair-within 2 weeks- we did get a verbal appology. Two weeks later, we still had problems and they said we needed new sensors. I understand things go out, but it seemed that for everything to go out within such a close period, I would reccomend keeping a sharp eye out on this group. read more

Saw the great reviews and needed some work on the garage door so I set up an appointment. I was not home so the technician called and explained that the wheels on the garage door needed to be replaced and tune up should help get it moving again. I thought there might be something with the motor, but thought hey, this is a cheaper option. He does the tune up and changes the wheels and calls me to say that they were leaving and he would send the bill. He called back a few mins later to say that he was testing the system and the motor was messed up. So now my bill goes from $160 to $660. I was a little concerned that he didn't see that from the beginning, but oh well. They replace the system and it seemed to be good. When I got home I tried to call the technician to get some help programming my remotes, etc. I texted and called, but never heard from anyone. I then called the office and talked to a nice lady who said she was sorry and would have someone call. No calls. Not sure I would used them again. read more

Garage door specialist was nice and gave us a decent quote but we would have had to schedule them to come back to come fix the door. I was initially excited about their service and turnaround time for a job they completed on 12/8/2016. They originally came out to put the guide wire back in the pulley left side of the door. On 1/4/2017, I had to have them back out because the door had not been closing all the way on the left side since the original repair. I was charged with another service call and labor for the job. So my $65 initial job ended up costing me a total of $187. Talk about paying twice for one repair. I'll be sticking with one of the other more reputable door companies next time. read more

Two guys from Triangle Garage Door came out to fix one of my two garage doors which had problems sticking and to look at reprogramming the key pad. One of the guys tried very hard to sell me new parts (rollers) that I did not need. While he fixed the door that was getting stuck, he told me he could not reprogram the key pad. I then found that the key pad was inoperable for the other door (which had worked fine before they arrived and which I had never had problems with). After the crew from Triangle Garage Doors left, I found that the wires from the key pad to the sensor for that other door were disconnected. I cannot say for sure how that happened since I did not stay with the two young men the whole time they were there, but I would never use this company again. read more

I have been so pleased with Roy and his team. We had a spring break on our garage right before Christmas (and the storm). Roy knew immediately what I needed and was available to come out that very day. I asked about pricing and the final fees were less than he estimated. They got us scheduled for the next morning. At 8am, the technician, Anythony, called saying he would be to our house soon. I have called in for replacing the rollers for my garage doors. He said he could not replace 2 of the rollers because the bolt is rusted. They also told me they can't take my check because the address on it is different than the house. Even if I was to call in for investment property, they wouldn't take the check because I have different address on the check. So, be prepared if you are planning to pay with check. Also, the person working on the garage door put a sticker on my house with his company name without asking me. Very disappointed. I would not work with them again. read more
