They have a small meat department with some good quality of cuts. I've found some excellent quality T-bone steaks at a surprising excellent price. I must have caught a good promotion or sale one day and I'm glad I took advantage because they were mouth watering and chew every little bit off the bone good. Their produce selection is small and can show signs of wilted produce from time to time but most often it's of decent quality. The surprise is their wine and liquor selection. It's got a lot to choose from with quality stuff you might not find in other stores. They have local wines to choose from and some really good specialty vodkas. The gas station supports Waterville math and science teaching in the town K-12 school. Yes, K-12 all in one building. Waterville is a still going concern with dry wheat farming - no irrigation, alfalfa and cattle run on BLM land. Nice solid old homes and a small main street in town. This is the place to get your gas, and a burger! (This station was previously branded Shell - now it's Exxon, tomorrow another brand, same family)

This was such a terrifying event I forgot the items I was purchasing on the counter when your clerk kicked me out of your store. Here's the scenario. I stood in line waiting for a young man to finish his transaction. There was an older man with his back turned to us all shopping the automotive items hanging on the wall. The older man grabbed his selection as the young mans transaction was finishing up and he was turning to exit the store. I stepped to the side in order to allow the young man to pass. As I stepped to the side, the older man tossed his item on the counter and gave the clerk an odd look as though he was trying to avoid eye contact with me. So I stepped forward and let the clerk know that I was here in line before this man and that I intend to be helped before him. I told the man that I was in a hurry and that I viewed his actions as "privileged". At that point your clerk interjected and told me "you need to stop". At which your customer chuckled and stated "yeah you need to shut your mouth". I felt as though that was a threat since he was accompanied by several young men and his tone was threatening. He was quite a bit larger than me and entered my personal space and looked down on me. Although I felt challenged I turned to him and stated "or what?" At which point your clerk told me "that's it! Get out". I was shocked and scared and didn't realize I had paid for the items and left them on the counter and left the store.

I'll drive the extra few miles to Walmart for that. The good: close by for grabbing some milk and things you need just a couple items at a time to save the gas rather than going to Walmart, so it is a convenience having it close by. The bad: a lot of the things I normally buy at a grocery store are almost doubled in store. I have bought fresh seafood and it was bad. For instance, I bought 2 pounds of fresh shrimp the other day and it had a sell by sticker for the 11 July and I bought it on 3 July.. took it home put it in the refrigerator and on 5 July. My refrigerator stunk so bad it almost made us sick. I took the shrimp out and they were completely gone. 100% bad. I took them back up to the store right away, and I won't go into detail, but the manager and one of the checkers treated me almost like this was my fault. The checker smelled the shrimp that were in the paper bag, and in a plastic bag and almost threw up. And then got upset with me cause I had him smell them. And also commented this is the third time people have brought shrimp back this weekend.. the manager seemed awful upset with me and never even once apologized and made it seem like it was a hassle. I had to change them out. I will never buy seafood in that store again cause I've heard this multiple times from other people. I figure I spent my money up there, they could have at least respected me and not treated me so bad. So from now on I'll drive the extra few miles and go to Walmart for anything I need So bottom line: unless you don't give a crap about prices, this s store isn't the place to stop maybe just to get cigarettes maybe milk and they do have a subway in there if you need a sandwich but other than that, expect very high prices and this isn't just my opinion this is the talk of the town.

DO NOT SHOP HERE! Absolutely the worst customer service…read moreever!! My father in law purchased spoiled food from this store (more than once). When he brought it back, instead of apologizing or taking responsibility, he was blamed for their mistake, even though they shared with him that other customers were returning the exact same batch with the exact same problem. The spoiled food was bad enough, but the rude, arrogant, and dismissive attitude from both staff and management was even worse. They showed zero concern for the quality of the food they were selling or for the customers who bought it. Apparently, admitting they were wrong was less important than treating paying customers with disrespect. If this is how they handle legitimate complaints, imagine how they handle the problems you don't catch. Spend your money somewhere that values its customers and stands behind the products it sells. In my opinion, you're far better off driving to Walmart in Chelan than risking your money or your health shopping here.
