Pat and Mikes ice cream parlor flavors. Lake Chelan, Washington. June 2025.

Visited Lake Chelan for a couple of days June 2025. I was craving some ice cream but didn't want to settle for packaged ice cream from walmart or safeway so i did some research and stumbled across Pat and Mikes. This ice cream parlor is like no other. It is hidden in a gas station in the area of Lake Chelan, Washington. Many different flavors to choose from. Don't know what flavor to choose, no worries. The ice cream shop employees there will gladly give you a spoonful of whatever flavor you would like to try as a taster. It will definitely help you decide on what flavor you'll like best for your ice cream craving. It helped me decide and I went with the pistachio. It was delicious and satisfying. Do not be scared to try this ice cream parlor out, it will not disappoint you. The employees there were very kind and respectful. It is well worth the cost. They really do have many flavors to choose from. I hope this helps your ice cream cravings. Stop by Pat and Mikes, you'll be amazed.

Ice cream!!!!! I don't normally order ice cream when my family does, but after I took a bite of my son's ice cream, I could not resist it and got a cup of my own. The ice cream here is so creamy and delicious! The flavors are very distinct and satisfy your ice cream craving. Portions are huge and they will do multiple flavors if you ask. Service is fast and with a smile! These high school kids run this place like pros!

Root beer float and cookies-and-cream milkshake.

Good, old-fashioned ice cream. We got the milk shake and root beer float, because this is living. On a hot summer day, you won't be disappointed.

Yum! So many great flavors.

Best ice cream ever! You must stop by and try it. Don't let the appearance turn you away. Yes it's in a gas station but it is so good!

Best little ice cream shop in Chelan. You get your money's worth. The little take out has some great food as well.

Chelan Toys & Sweets is the second place in Downtown Chelan that serves hard scoop ice cream, with the other being the ice cream parlor located in The Landing. Both of these places are within short walking distance of each other on E Woodin Ave, on opposite sides of the street. The prices at Chelan Toys & Sweets (see photo) are lower than those at The Landing, and they also make floats, flurries, shakes and dirty sodas. While the ice cream at The Landing had more of a gourmet or homemade flavor, the ice cream here was still good enough for our party, especially when it came down to the kids' tastes. Comparing our separate visits to these two establishments, we spent about $30 at The Landing and $20 at Chelan Toys & Sweets for similar orders/quantities of ice cream. Also worth mentioning: the wait lines are much shorter here than at The Landing (probably because tourists see The Landing when they first come into town, and not this place). The staff who served us was very cordial and shared their opinions on the store's most popular dirty soda (when asked), as well as let us sample a few of the cream flavors (they had 24) in advance. Bringing up The Parlor as a comparison one more time, although their ice cream was good, it came at a higher cost combined with longer lines and impersonal, "assembly line" service (with no samples). In contrast, the ice cream counter at Chelan Toys & Sweets had more menu items/options, lower prices, and a personal, "local" (not touristy) atmosphere.

My husband and I came in with our two toddlers and my MIL for dinner. As our reservation was at 7…read morepm and we were in the area earlier than our reserved time, we strolled to their tasting room to purchase a glass of wine. I can't say enough how kind the staff - both at the tasting room and restaurant - were to my family. The restaurant itself had a magical ambience, most especially because it was just right after Christmas. The perfect lighting makes or breaks it and they got it right. Driving below looking at Tsillan Cellars, I imagined the restaurant to be more spacious than what I thought it to be, rather, it was a bit more intimate which was quite nice. As it was dark, we could not see the view but I would imagine that it would have been outright stunning in the day. As for the food, we ordered the shrimp risotto, steak, and canelloni for the adults. This establishment also offers a kid's menu and although I usually have my kids eat from whatever I order, we decided they cam order a plate of their own, which was spaghetti and chicken tenders with rosemary fries. All of the dishes were of quality and of course, delicious. I wish I could get another plate of the risotto. If we ever get the chance to come back, I would certainly come back and reserve a time when there is daylight to enjoy the view of the area and water.

Service: my boyfriend called to schedule a reservation. Number one I have a food allergy (onions,…read moreshallots, green onion and chive). He spoke at length to them about the allergy and if substitutions were made. We had the online menu and several of the dishes we were promised were onion free, including ciopinno. Now I make this at home. I am aware there are standard white onions in the broth. He doesn't know that, he just knows I love it. He clarified twice with whoever answered the phone. When he brought me, he had assured me they said it was onion free. *In a Morgan Freeman voice* it was in fact not onion free, nor were most of the dishes on the menu. I know better than to get too invested into any menu items prior for asking if it is safe. Second, we asked for a table with a view, preferably outside. This is primarily because of the onion allergy and he wanted a view. They put us in the middle of the dining hall. We asked about the view, the seating hostess "well this is the best view." There were three tables out on the patio. We had a view of a bridal party and bros who were spilling their drinks. I after a lengthy back and forth about food items, I was instructed to order protein and sides that were safe. What I ordered: scallops cooked in a butter, lemon and white wine sauce order a pasta of the chef's choosing. What she kept ordering were plain scallops, buttered noodles and a side of vegetables. I kept correcting her that I did not want buttered noodles. I stead of listening to me, she kept asking me what type of noodles I wanted. She didn't allow the chef to choose, she wrote linguini. I tried one more time correcting her, Steph wouldn't fix it. The lack of communication is sad. The food: I wish I could talk about the food. I got tasteless butter garlic noodles, three very small tasteless scallops, a side of shaved parmesan and a side of vegetables. I paid $45 dollars to be fed a meal worthy of a picky 2 year old and not what I ordered. I cannot fault the chef. I have no doubt he hated making that dish given what was on that menu. After heavily salting, I gave up after three bites. My boyfriend was very clear with Steph. I was very clear with Steph. She would not listen. Ambiance: is beautiful. Worthy of all the IG pictures. Because they accommodated the food allergy, I chose to not give one star. But honestly they deserve a one star review. Recommendations: Teach your staff how to listen. I had one amazing restaurant that will highlight with a highlighter what I can eat and underline anything that be accommodated. That was probably the best restaurant I have ever experienced.

Ok I was suspicious to see that this was the only place open past 11pm in Chelan on a Wednesday,…read morebut I was also very hungry. Wow, just wow. The patio is STUNNING. You can see the sunset, can almost see the water. Gorgeous, brand new furniture, indoor/outdoor patio, string lights, a dream. I could have sat out here ALL DAY. Impressive wine menu, fun cocktail menu, and lots of beers on tap. They have some American food, sometimes with a twist. My partner loved the peanut sauce chicken wings SO much that we went back several times for them. The Indian food...now they don't play about their indian food. Some of the most flavorful stuff I have had. We got paneer tikka masala (which I get frequently at other establishments) and it was SO GOOD. It was so rich and flavorful. We also tried the coconut curry and loved that as well. Generous portions of rice, lots of yummy garlic naan. The service is amazing. We were served by the owner and he is an awesome guy. We even told him that we didn't have a wine opener in our hotel and he let us borrow one for a few hours- just a really stand up guy. Happy to support them and already daydreaming about going back soon.

Very torn between rating this business a 4* vs. 5* -- really want to give say a 4.5*. Let me…read moreexplain. The good: It's delicious, it smells INCREDIBLE, and if you're staying in Manson, especially if staying at Wapato Point, it's a short walk for food pick-up -- doesn't get easier than that! Oh, and they're open every day of the week. (Next closest Indian food I believe is in Wenatchee, which if you're in Chelan, is far enough away, let alone being in Manson). Staff also friendly (albeit I've only done take-out). The bad: It's EXPENSIVE! Yes, Indian food *is* expensive, but it's the most expensive than Indian food I've purchased everywhere else (including some major cities including both Denver, CO, and NYC). All-told, I'll give them 5* as their prices are available online and you can make that informed decision for yourself, but again, don't be caught off-guard -- it's EXPENSIVE!!!!
