We have been going here for years and still love it. I've been to other YMCA's over Colorado and find this one to be the cleanest. It does however end up too busy at certain times to get on any machine. It would also help to have a "No Phones" in the gym clause. read more

This is a very good YMCA location, the staff are exceptional. This was my first visit to this YMCA and I had a few questions, the gentlemen at the desk was extremely friendly and helpful and made my visit seamless. I used the pool for lap swimming and there were multiple lanes available. The pool is a little smaller than the average pool, it's only 20 yards in length, but the amount of lanes avails was better than most YMCA locations. The locker rooms, equipment and overall YMCA was very clean. I highly recommend this YMCA location. read more

I showed the front desk attendant my ruined swimsuit. He told me to contact the executive director. I emailed her and waited a few days. Emailed again. Waited. Called and left her a voicemail. Waited. Emailed one last time. Called the front desk and asked if I could talk to someone else regarding the issue. Was directed to the aquatics manager. Left her a voicemail. Currently still waiting. I have received ZERO response from anyone. read more

If you have children from the ages of 7-10 and would like to be able to workout, this gym will not work for you. We just joined and went to the gym for the first time with my 2 kids. One 4, one 8. I went to drop the kids at child care and was informed they do not have childcare past 7 years of age. We were told that if my child takes an orientation he can use the equipment by the childcare staff. We leave the child care area and talk to someone at the front desk. She states that there is no need for an orientation but the equipment he can use is indicated by a red band. This equipment is simply cardio equipment which my kid needs to be supervised while he is using. I understand the need for supervision. My kid cannot use the machines or weights with or without supervision. This means that my time at the gym will simply be limited cardio only as my child can not use any other equipment in the building and they offer no child care for him. When I told the staff the organization was started as a young men's club and they simply won't allow him to use any of the facilities the lady stated "Parenting is hard!" She stated they do offer summer camps but they can't do anything else due to "laws" While I don't blame the employees other than the silly lady at the front desk, what a silly model. Adults can't use if you have kids and kids can't use because of "laws". read more

Pool is lacking, many YMCA CENFRW have 2 pools one for kids one for adults. Momument is LACKING. No hot tub and no space to move around. Workout areas are beyond Busy and you have to wait to use eqiuptmemt. Hours are also limited and facility closes earlier. read more

I really disliked my interaction with the staff today. Went in to put my memebership on hold but the staff was trying to sell me on canceling my membership. Who takes canceling Membership over putting membership on hold. Maybe someone who has an issue with my skin tone and does not want me to come back. Will never come back to ymca. Previously my review of The Y was two stars. Since then they have done some remodeling and expansion. Plus they have created a spin room and updated the equipment. Really enjoy going, and using the app to see what classes are available. Not a full 5 stars because it can be overly crowded at times and there is always a handful of cardio machines out of service. read more

My kids and I have been members here for over 10 years and whether it's the Tri-Lakes facility or the one in Meridian Ranch by our old house, you cannot beat the value and the quality of the equipment and the customer service, for such a great price! Tri- Lakes YMCA is absolutely beautiful and has expanded to three or four times their original size in the last 8 years and when your entire family can go to the gym for under $100 a month, any location on the country, with an indoor/outdoor pool at most, basketball courts, great classes, and discounts on children's sports, like soccer, there's just no way to beat it! We joined and it is a decent YMCA. The customer service always has been mixed. We could no longer afford the membership, and called to cancel. They do not allow people to cancel over the phone. When I voiced concern about this, the person did not even respond to me--just silence on the other end of the phone. We planned on discontinuing temporarily; however, given this policy and the unfriendly treatment, we will not consider joining again. read more

I have been going almost everyday to the Monument trilakes YMCA since it open years ago to workout daily! The service has always been great, and equipment just keeps getting better. They are quick to repair any broken equipment too. The only negative is the very short hours on the weekends with Sunday hours only from noon to 6 PM! Highly recommend it for the whole family as clean, safe place to workout and enjoy community interaction! read more

Horrible experience at the YMCA today. Kids were playing in the pool with our good friends and neighbors. Playing tag, wrestling and chasing each other. All having fun, no crying or fighting. Lifeguard blows his whistle and puts my daughter in "timeout" for playing rough. I have taken my kids to this pool multiple times per week for the last 6 months. We've never been informed we weren't allowed to play. He did not even look for a parent to discuss with. I have had nothing but good experiences with this YMCA, just one staff member not on the same page as everyone else. read more

This YMCA is outstanding! It's perfect for families. The pool isn't deep, so if you are an adult and a swimmer, it's not going to be perfect for you. But for kids? Awesome! There is a play structure in the pool that is fun for kids, and the pool is zero depth entry. The lifeguards typically seem like they would rather be somewhere else, but they get the job done. That's the only critical thing I can say about the Y. The workout facilities are new, and with lots of options. When I do the elliptical, I look out the window at the mountains. Beautiful and breathtaking. And even when it's busy, there always seem to be machines available. They have lots of classes and programs for your whole family. My son loves playing soccer in the fall and spring at the Y. We have always had great coaches and they have made learning soccer fun. The childcare at the Y is great too. My kids LOVE going- which makes it so much easier to leave them! The workers know my kids by name and seem to really enjoy their jobs. I feel like my kids receive excellent care when they are at the Y (which is more then I can say about our church nursery!) :) read more

The gym overall is pretty nice. Great views, lots of equipment and class offerings. The thing I just cannot get passed is what a HUGE turnoff the lady at the front desk, Kim is. She is incredibly rude, won't respond when thanked and instead gives you a look like she did you such a favor she can't acknowledge your communication, and is probably the worst first customer experience everyday that you could possibly create. I'm shocked she hasn't been fired yet. She's so rude she actually makes me think twice about continuing my membership. If any member of leadership is reading this- Kim needs a major attitude adjustment and likely to just be removed from her position for her incredibly poor interface. read more

My issue isn't really with the building itself it's more of the staff. I feel as if though the staff needs more Hands-On training and more communication with each other. I think that there's too much going on not enough getting said to the right Department and perhaps they're a bit judgemental to particular people. I Don't feel the need to go somewhere and pay them when I could go somewhere else and get treated better. if you ask questions they always seem to not know or they always seem to say give me your phone number and I'll have someone call you who knows the answer to your question. The night staff is the worst to deal with and then the Daystaff seems to get it but it just depends on who you're talking to and who you're dealing with. my personal opinion would be go somewhere else only because of the lack of communication with certain people that work at the desk especially the front desk. The swimming instructors are okay but I did have a bad encounter where the Lifeguard who was probably in high school kept causing issues and didn't know when or what right thing to say to me when regarding me about my phone and yet here's a lady sitting across from me on a laptop with a camera facing the same direction but yet my phone was the issue. No one else seem to care but this one particular teenager who wasn't watching children swim but instead gossiping about other coworkers and my phone. I don't know why but I just feel like the YMCA is not what it used to be. read more

I went in today to get a membership for my wife, myself and as well as my adult son. We realized my son was to old to be on the family plan anymore and we were expecting to have to pay for the additional registration fee. But the lady at the counter was kind enough to waive it . I am a member and while assisting my grandson in the FAMILY dressing room, my phone was stolen. The phone was tracked until after 9pm in the YMCA after being stolen between 530pm and 600pm. It's strongly believed that an employee took the phone and despite my repeated calls and texts to the phone, as well as contact with other staff, did not return it. The attention to this matter was lack luster at best and I worry that for the sake of staffing, the proper action will not be taken to ensure members are safe from theft on the premises. Being a single mom, I am not very impressed. Don't get me wrong, the upkeep is awesome. There's a decent amount of cardio machines, although I have had to stand around and wait before. I did a free Commit to be Fit, and it was awesome. I loved my trainer. The child care is pretty good, but I don't always feel welcome. I've had times where the workers just turn and look at me for a minute, then finally come to help. They do have cameras on the cardio machines so I can watch my daughter in child care and never saw any problems. Now to my complaints- It is based mostly around child care hours. I can't even make it to the gym these days because it totally clashes with my daughter's schedule. The fact that child watch is closed between 1pm-4pm is just horrible for me. That's exactly when I would go, and I would definitely use all 2 hours that they are allowed to watch her for; however, since they are closed, that isn't an option. So why am I paying almost $30 for my INFANT to have a membership when they don't have infant classes. So that $30 is going to the child watch, yet they aren't there when I need them. The ONE infant class they do have is awesome. It's the parent/child swim class. We did a month of it, and it was a lot of fun. However, even being a member, it was $15. Nonmember would be $35. So wouldn't it be cheaper to NOT be a member since I already paid almost $30 for her membership that month? If they would fix the child care hours, which I have suggested multiple times, I would say this place is 100% awesome. Unfortunately, I am cancelling at the Y and going down the road to a place that is open late so I can just go after work and not worry about child care hours or paying for a membership for her that is worthless. read more

Beautiful! The gym has been totally updated with equipment and expanded a ton! You will not be disappointed. You don't have to leave the Monument area to go to a gym. People from the Springs comes up to Monument for the exceptional teachers, equipment, and what improvised to the community. Love it! read more

Place has been updated, new cardio equipment that looks out at the mountains gives the runner/ elliptical worker something gorgeous to look at if you don't want to look at the screens. Depending on the day the pool is packed but if you time it right I enjoy doing laps there. Front office staff need customer service skills. They are like the Colorado weather, either great with a sunny disposition but if the clouds roll in can be grey and gloomy. For example, my husband went in one day and got great service. They helped him install the new app and set it up so he can use it to check in. I went in the next day, they told me there was nothing they could do to help me with the app, I would need my YMCA card. They offered no help, not even to tell me what the app was called. (There are several YMCA apps out there). I was told they could give me another card, which I didn't want. Why would I want another card gumming up my junk drawer especially since the only thing I needed was my YMCA number on the back of the card so I WOULDN'T have to use the card to check in. By the way. They helped my husband activate his app and he didn't have his YMCA card with him either. They sometimes are just to busy to help and seemed even bothered that they had to sign me in with my driver's license. read more
