I was shocked that they have a gas station with absolutely no employees whatsoever. That's just how this place is. You just pay via credit/debit card, fill it up and go. Yes, you can get a receipt too. It's a different concept of a gas station I'm used too. Wouldn't mind coming back.

We choose to do it in the car, cause this is not the cleanest gas station in the world. And for some reason still smells like smoke even though it's been illegal to smoke inside for years! This "Truck Stop" also has a restaurant on premises (Red Bird Diner) which looked pretty busy when I stopped in yesterday for gas. I guess this place is a hit with the rural locals. Shell has more modern stations out there and judging by the number of pumps, there sure were a lot of diesel nozzles available. On the gasoline side, I was one of 2 or 3 other cars. One was from Iowa with a cute Lab in the back, while another was from Wisconsin and decked out in Packer's gear. I had to go inside for a receipt, which I found to be a bit dark and tchotchke homey. Anyway, the bottom line for me was that I filled up the tank, topped it off, and was able to return the rental car at the Kansas City Airport while it still read full. I'd like to say that this was good planning on my part......

Seen the billboard going westbound but I didn't realize that it was also to the place I was getting…read moremy delivery to. So of course I needed to take a break! You really never know what your going to get at some of these Mom n Pop restaurants and establishments but me and the Dog were down to check it out! I'm and just so happy this was a fun spot to get down at. Kim and Hannah are just amazing hostesses and bakers and run the best bakery that I have been to Nationwide. I ordered a warm banana muffin with brown sugar too and just melted in my mouth. So scrumptious!! I bought the party dip and cutest little gifts for my friends birthday later this month so I can mail those out. I'm glad my delivery was here and got to see these cute cabins and grab a yummy treat. I will definitely add this to favorites on map and will be back all the times.

The cinnamon roll sign, westbound at the side of highway 36 between Hamilton and Cameron MO, caught…read moremy eye. Drove around to far side of cabins and went in. The two ladies were extremely nice and helpful. I tried the avocado turkey sandwich and several of the baked goods. It is definitely worth stopping and getting some of their delicious bakery items or stop in for a foodie lunch. You won't be disappointed. I will return.

One thing that impressed me about both shops was the professionalism of their mechanics. Men who from wide experience (which is what results from serving farmers, who could roll up in you-never-know-what) take on a service request with the practical experience as well as a willingness to do what will meet their customer's needs without overdoing the process... is that I never left feeling hustled, which was how I felt at times in big-city service shops. Polo Sales & Service epitomizes the we-can-probably-fix-it attitude that resulted in great value, especially when compared to much bigger shops. In fact the only drawback here is the fact that farmers show up early and often, so the wait is at times longer than city shops that have bigger staffs and more lifts. Great people. 5 solid

I had an incident in a parking lot which they came out unloaded one trailer off of another took my load after the wreck trailer re-loaded it onto the first trailer then took the trailer and loaded it onto the second trailer to haul back home. Terrible service. I called at 2 am to get a tow and they said it would be about 30 minutes before…read morethey could get to me. About 5 minutes later they called me back and said they didn't have a truck to come get me. I clearly woke him up and he just didn't want to get out of bed. Why have a towing service if you don't want to do the work??? I gave the lowest rating and that was more than I wanted to give because it wouldn't let me leave it blank.

It was the only stop for years so have always stuck with them. Few years back a competitor opened shop across the street but we stick with Lawsons and will as long as they are doing business
