No cliques here. The owner greeted me immediately with a hug. It was about 7Pm and this place was packed. The bartender immediately asked what I wanted to drink and within a minute a tall glass was sitting in front of me. The chefs were working so hard fixing nonstop orders of fish, fries, burgers, and tater tots for the most part. They were moving like a conveyor belt with the orders. From the time I arrived, until I left, not one order was messed up. All the staff are pretty friendly and just awesome overall. Don't expect long conversations if you're looking for liquor paid psychiatrist work while Friday fish orders are being filled. I had the baked cod (was always my favorite) and the first time the walleye with the broccoli crunch and tater tots. Walleye reminds me of catfish. Omg, everything was a 100 out of a 10 to be honest. Coming out of a dive tavern, yes. Everything had the right crunch or the perfect flakiness. Loved it. Friday Fishfry is the bomb here in my opinion. They do have a pool table, jukebox, and a couple of TVs.

The interior is an old house basement with living room and all! A few televisions to watch the games along with a $.25 pool table and Pull tab dispenser! I have yet to have the Friday Night Fish Fry but have several friends that constantly tell me it is the best in the area! Looking forward to trying it out soon!

We had the cup of Cajun gumbo which really hit the spot yesterday. My son had the beef sandwich which was outstanding and the fries were really crunchy. My wife had the chicken fajita platter which again was very tasty and I on the other hand had the Cajun stirfry. That was probably the best meal out of the three. I don't know if a lot of people get it, but it is one heck of a hidden gem of a meal. We came in right at the time when they were having the end of the Bears game. It was loud, but understandable since it is that type of place. As they piled out, it got much more quieter, which was more pleasant. The staff there was extremely friendly, and overall we had a wonderful time with all the big screen TVs going on.. If you're looking for a sports bar that's out of the way with good food this place it. It's not going to be your Michelin star food (mind you), however, this is a step up from just your plain old bar food, extremely reasonable prices, and a place to us that is always worth the trip when we come up that way.... We always come here for the Cajun gumbo: You just can't beat that recipe. This kind of tastes like the heaven on seven recipe? (Wink-wink) Thanks again for the wonderful service Sandlots- The "W" couple and naturally: Scooter.

Our server was fun, casual and accommodating. We enjoyed drinks, appetizers, four entrees (which come with soup and salad!) and dessert which had candles added for our birthday celebrations! We had to be rolled out the door as we were full. Oh and say yes to the relish tray! After dinner we had a nightcap in the warm and cozy bar area. Perfect setting and great night there

Walking in, the place was crazy busy. The staff were so gracious and welcoming. They seated us at a beautiful table right by the window. The warm lighting, varnished wood and fireplace created a perfect setting. Our server Kris was incredible. She was friendly and offered warm and personable service. Although she was busy, it didn't show at all. We ordered various steaks and they were prepared perfectly. The dinner comes with so much - soup, salad, bread and a relish tray and that's fantastic. Kris brought out birthday Creme Brûlée with a candle for our birthday girl. It was a nice touch and tasted great. This was my first visit. I meant to dine here over the years and am so happy I finally did. The room, staff and cuisine make a perfect combination. Thank you Kris!!
