I don't know what these other reviewers are talking about. New Outlooks has always done well by me-…read moreI have been going there for 5 years or so and haven't been disappointed. I think like most other things, some of the burden lies with the customer. Are you being honest about what treatments or chemicals you may or have added to your hair before your visit? Are you clearly communicating what you want and carefully listening to the stylist? Do you have realistic expectations? Also, like all good salons, if you're not happy they will rectify the error or issue. Case in point- I had an updo that I wasn't thrilled with- said something, and they re-did it no problem. The ladies there are super nice, they ARE trained and they DO continue their training. Give New Outlooks a try, I think you'll be pleased!

Amazing! As a prior employee I must say Carol is extremely dedicated to her clients but equally as…read morededicated to her staff too! She take pride in bettering each and everyone! I had the pleasure of working with carol for 6 years !! You often find in the hair industry self driven selfish people who only have their personal interests in mind but that is not the case for Carol or anyone who works there. The benefit of this is that the clients are given an environment that is solely focused on them and giving them the ultimate experience from every direction. So if your looking for a new salon be sure to check out new outlooks obviously their doing something right considering she's been in business since the early 80's and continues to grow year after year!! I truly miss working with everyone but I'm so thankful for all the amazing years I was able to be apart of this amazing family!!!

Geciline has been my esthetician for the last two years. I cannot believe I haven't written a Yelp…read morereview yet! She is absolutely amazing and extremely knowledgeable. I see her for waxing, eyelashes and eyebrow tinting. She is a fast waxer and is insistent on getting EVERY little hair, which I love. I won't see anyone else for eyelash extensions anymore! Not only does she do a great job of making them look natural, they STAY PUT for a long time! I notice that even after a month, I barely need a refill. Which is fantastic since I work with the public. Nothing worse than seeing a customer with three eyelashes hanging on for dear life, lol. Her prices are fair so be sure to tip well and make your next appointment before you leave as she is in high demand! Her studio is clean and tidy and is located within the hair salon. She has her own space in the back end, so you won't hear hair dryers. Give her a try! You won't be disappointed!

This salon is extremely unprofessional. I booked an appointment and restructured my entire day…read morearound this appointment time. When I show up, they casually shout from across the room asking if I can come back in a "couple of hours". They acknowledged that I had a confirmed appointment time, but just didn't seem to care. They were completely unapologetic about it too. It was probably for the best because they seemed a little rushed and distracted, running back and forth between multiple clients at once, which is not the vibe you want from someone at a salon

Do yourselves a favor and stay away from this salon unless you like to be disrespected and talked…read moredown to. If I could give them a 0 rating I would. Apparently when someone doesn't cover your grays (whites in my case) correctly and you ask them to fix it and this happens twice in a row after each coloring, you are the problem not the person coloring your hair. The owner literally just told me on the phone in a rude manner 'we will fix it this time but next time you need your hair colored you should go somewhere else because this keeps happening with you' !!! He went on and on about how the previous time it happened it looked fine to him (there were visible whites in the front)' and essentially accusing me of lying. Yep folks it's my fault that my hair that they colored yesterday still has some white and the base doesn't match the rest of my hair. What do you say to something like that ?!! We will fix it this time but go somewhere else after. Yeah like I even want to come back after that statement! When I proceeded to tell him he was being rude and condescending and that I would write a review about this he started yelling cutting me off saying 'are you threatening me?' Over and over until I hung on him. No thanks I don't need this abuse. There was another inicident where I booked a haircut with him. When he started cutting my hair he asked 'who cut your hair it's really uneven' all shocked but when I told him it was one of his staff and why I booked with him instead his whole demeanor changed and went on to say things like 'well if you don't communicate exactly what you want you might not get good results' again putting on me that my hair was badly cut!!! The owner of this salon is rude and condescending and If his staff messes up he will blame you. No accountability or respect.
