It was our first night in Madrid, we had been up for 24 hours until engaging in the local custom, siesta (ah). We were starving and hoping to just shower and pop in somewhere without a reservation. The first place I looked up was very crowded so we found Tres. If you're not going there, what are you doing? We see the only patrons so the service was fantastic, but forget that. Let's talk about the food! We ordered two appetizers (tomato carpaccio and chicken croquettes). Our server brought us tomato gazpacho with bread (I'm not sure of the exact name) that was AMAZING! We got a bottle of delicious wine (see picture), the bacon-artichoke risotto and the pork belly dish. All the food was incredible-- yes, incredible and so was the price!
