4 star for Oakley but below average for a Mexican resturant! Steak Banditos were ok, shreded chicken quesodillas were wet and horrible! COLD Chips were stale, very weak salsa. Cheap Ass napkins! We had water. Locals eat here due to no choices.. Service was fast and pretty good. With a bit of care great improvements could be made!!! read more

One of the tastiest mole sauces that I have had in a long time. Service was great, very quick and all the dishes were tasty. The cheese chorizo appetizer was especially delicious. This worth a stop if you are near here at dinner. And if you are staying at the RV park, indulge in a margarita, it was really nice! read more

Stopped here as it is convenient to I-70. Pretty cheap prices - the food was so mediocre! The cheese enchilada had very little cheese and the little tortilla tasted raw. Same with the other selections! Come to Hutchinson! There's authentic Mexican food that's fabulous! read more

I was highly skeptical when I walked in bc only one person looked to be working and one person was eating. In the middle of nowhere its always a hit or miss and this is a hit!!!! Ordered 3 tacos and they reminded me of my childhood. They gave me so much food between the chips and salsa with the tacos for one person is enough but I ordered fries and barely touched them. I ordered went to the bathroom came back and she was already bringing the food in less than 10 mins. Super quick tasty and filling. Had the whole place to myself it was wonderful. Probably wont ever come back this way thru kansas but I would make a detour for this if I did. Best food I've had in a while for sure. read more

What a gem to find in the middle of nowhere near Oakley Kansas. We are stranded here due to a blizzard and this restaurant saved us! The margaritas are huge and delicious and the shrimp tacos are outstanding. The waitstaff are so friendly and the chips and salsa keep you satisfied until dinner arrives. Service was ok, food read ok with the exception of the taco beef was very salty I give it 3 stars. The prices are cheeper than usual. The dish was a combanition of 2 beef chimichanga, 1 beef taco with yellow rice and fried beans for $9.98 read more

New Life has come to the Old Colonial Inn, a bright and lovely Mexican restaurant. So new, totally redesigned and fresh. They have a full bar and make a delightful margarita, daiquiri and pretty much anything else someone might desire. We ordered and I totally forgot what the other three requested as I finally asked for the molcajete dinner with shrimp, steak, chicken and chorizo topped with cheese. Totally delicious and more than satisfying as half of it came home for another delightful dinner. It's a wonderful change for all of us, and very popular. I would like to encourage everyone to give it a try -- soon. read more

It's a NO from me. We visited Tres Hermanos with a large party. I am from California so the food was not the quality delicious Mexican food I'm used to, but what was worse was the horrible service. Our server must have been a family member because his attitude and lack of attention would not allow him to keep his job unless he was related to someone. It took almost 40 minutes to get orders taken for drinks and food. Then, 20+ minutes later the food came out before the drinks. When I asked for a To-Go cup for my soda I was told they don't have them when I saw them sitting on several other tables. I felt like the server did not want to be there and we were bothering him. I don't know his name, but he had several earrings and a big negative attitude. I hope this review helps to improve the service. read more

Food was great; our family ate up our meals easily on this stop along our road trip. Drinks are enormous (should have had kids split). Decor was authentic, place was very clean and service was with a smile. We were all pleasantly surprised at how great a meal this was for being in such a remote area. Highly recommend. read more
