Food was great, service was fast and accurate. Margaritas were so strong haha. My friend and I had the small house margarita and we had to sit in the parking lot for a while before we felt safe to drive home. read more

I wanted to give a second star because of the friendly staff and the kinda cool vibe, but the food was bad. I had the Enchiladas Rancheras with beef tips. The beef was grey and unseasoned. The menu says they use mole sauce, but it was regular red enchilada sauce. If it was any good, I'd have probably skipped the detail. It came with refried beans and rice. I was hungry, but eating the enchiladas was kind of an arduous task. Afterwards, I engaged in my ritual of mixing all the leftover enchilada scraps in to the beans and rice, dumping salsa on it, and eating it with chips. Even that was no good. This has to be one of my bottom 5 worst meals I've ever had, and definitely the worst Mexican food I've ever had. ....I mean, the beef tips were grey. read more

Super cute vibe with an outdoor patio. Tried the birria taquitos and the veggie fajitas. Very flavorful and great portions! Service was very fast and attentive. Getting in here can be a little tricky driving side, just remember if coming from 75, you have to go past the restaurant and turn left onto American way. The drinks are also nice and huge! read more

The layout and decor feels authentic. The music here is more for a club. The server is soft spoken and really sweet. The marinated chicken tacos is very tasty and filling. The side of rice is perfect. I do recommend this place. read more

We went on a Wednesday night. The place had maybe 4 other parties inside so not busy at all. Our waitress was nice. She brought out food out rather quickly. The drinks are really good. I had originally wanted the birria tacos that were on the menu but she stated they did not have them available so I went with the carne asada tacos with rice but she brought out beans. She quickly replaced the beans with rice with no issue. The meat in my tacos were pretty dry but the rice was freshly made and hot. read more

Ate here for lunch today. Same generic Mexican food you'll find anywhere else. Ordered a burrito deluxe which came with a small side of lettuce and tomato. Even though I ordered it without sour cream, it was delivered to the table by another employee and had sour cream on it, so I had to send it back. Later they told me they would bring me more salsa, and after 15 minutes, it still hadn't arrived, so I reiterated my request. Probably a one and done, as there are Mexican places closer to me that do it better. read more

Thus place is trash nothing was seasoned and the margaritas were horrible!!!! If you want a delicious meal reasonably priced...try Cancun in Norwood in Cincinnati. Food is bomb and they will get you full and tipsy. Nothing on this plate was seasoned at all. Service was ok. read more

Tres Amigos - Chimichangas grilled chicken. Not good. At all - Mexican Near Me - Monroe, Ohio

For the Mexican lovers, this place is really good. Not got the ambience and decor of Chuy's but the food and service are great. They have an excess of employees and they all pitch in. Never have to wait for your server that disappears to get service. Plates are huge and I always get the "Burrito Grande". More than a grown man can eat. Endless chips and salsa and the salsa is wonderful. This is a small place with only one store. Not a huge chain. But out of the way at I-75 at the Monroe exit. If you've tried all the Mex places give this one a shot. Always support the small places and eat well my foodie friends. read more

Food was solid, prices were competitive/fair, and service was good. I got the vegetarian lunch fajitas with a scoop of guac added. Total price with the added guac was $11.49. Chips and salsa are good, I have no complaints. Good fairly priced authentic Mexican food. They were pretty busy even on a Tuesday at 11am, lots of construction workers and electrical workers were stopping in on their lunch break. Food still came reasonably quick. I'll be back! read more

Really great food. Staff is attentive. Food to table was a little slow but it was a Friday night and the place was packed. Even though it was packed, the noise level wasn't where we couldn't hear each other talk. That is a huge bonus!! The large margarita was enormous! I couldn't even finish it. I got the grilled chicken chimichangas which was delicious. The queso fundido was amazing!! Well worth a visit! read more

Was in town for a convention and we were exhausted craving good Mexican food. This place was highly reviewed. The menu was a little confusing, they state on it they have soft corn tortillas and flour tortillas. We placed a to go order but did it from inside the restaurant. When we asked for corn he said "they are crunchy hard corn." I then asked about the soft corn on the menu, he again said they were hard. So I asked for flour, since I don't like hard shell tacos and was looking for something more authentic like soft corn but I settled on the flour tortillas. We got our order, went back to the house and it smelled great. I opened my container and they gave me the hard corn tortillas, that's fine wasn't going to complain, the food smelled amazing and they got my husband and our best friends order right. The issue that happens with hard shell is they fall apart and if I could give any advice to this place it would be to keep the tacos separate from the beans and rice because they disintegrated the second I picked them up, so I just ate them with the chips like nachos, disappointing but not the end of the world. While the food wasn't amazing and comes off as a watered down version of Mexican food and you can tell it's because they cater to locals, but being from Chicago and growing up with nothing but authentic Mexican it was to be expected it wouldn't be as good, it still wasn't bad by any means. Both my husband and best friend loved their food, they got the burrito and steak fajitas. In general the food was good, the service was great, the menu a little confusing, but next time we are in town we plan on giving them another shot, this time we will dine in. read more

I didn't even get to order food. Service is terrible. I ordered online and once I got inside I was met with a rude man saying the online orders don't work. He made it seem like my fault for not knowing that. There is no message on the website that the online orders don't come through to the restaurant. He was very passive aggressive. I would skip eating here and just go to el trompo. Be warned I read the other reviews about terrible service but I was not expecting such disappointment. read more

Remodeled interior boosted interior seating. Full parking lot but still immediate seating. Consistently good food and service!

Hadn't been for a couple years. It was decent enough, but definitely didn't have the same effort put into the food .

Good food, fast service, strong drinks! On an empty stomach, one margarita can really get you going! Located next to Hustler and right off the freeway exit, I could see this place getting busy, but we had no wait on a Sunday evening. Good salsa, fajitas are great, plus they've got all the classic desserts, unlike some places that only have one or two favorites. Plenty of vegetarian options! But beware of the spicy sauce....it is truly spicy. read more

Decent food. Friendly staff. But don't come for the margaritas. Tastes like lemonade and I swear they forgot the tequila. Only in the area for the 4th festival so no reason to come back. Thank goodness for La Jaiba! read more

Doesn't look like much as you drive by, but inside it is quite nice and the food was exceptional. We had three different dishes and everyone at the table enjoyed! Mocajete was the best! Fresh chips and salsa too! read more

Chicken Fajita Quesadilla was scrupulously delicious! The service was very well as multiple people checked in on us. And the ambience was the best I have seen with their comfortable seating and nice clean updated look from their pearl color seats and black tables along with the whole scenery that gives it a unique look not seen in most Mexican spots! read more

Food was nothing special the service wasn't amazing the one time I visited. Parking lot is a pain in the butt to get to from the main road

Outstanding food and service. I had the street tocos..... not expecting anything fancy, but the sauce that came with it was home made and set the dish off. I overheard how the community supported this restaurant during the pandemic and left my first ever review ever. They are worth the stop, take it from a Texas boy "Good to go." read more

One of the best Mexican restaurants I've ever gone to! My sangria margarita was delicious! I could drink four of those but I know better. I got the fajita quesadilla and my boyfriend got a plain quesadilla while our friends got a burrito and another chicken dish. My fajita quesadilla was fantastic! The queso and salsa that comes out before your meal was yummy; wish the chips came out warm! Definitely worth a stop!! read more

This is by far the best Mexican food around. I've tried many in this area and none compare. The food is delicious and the service is above par even in these intense times. The food wasn't bad or the service. The problem was when I went to pay. I ordered the Enchilada Banderas. The menu showed $13 so I ordered it. When I got the check it was $15. I went to pay and brought it to their attention. They found the menu they gave me and it was $13. I was told that's the wrong menu and $15 is the correct price. I said it's your fault and I would not have ordered it at that price. He said I would have to call the manager and that he was just an employee. I told them nope, you keep those $2.00. I will never sit foot in that restaurant again. read more

We've eaten here numerous times. The food is always freshly prepared, hot and very tasty! We usually get one of their (for 2) dinners and everytime, we have plenty of leftovers for another meal or sometimes two. The prices are very reasonable. The margaritas are divine! (if you shop Kroger-Monroe, you can usually get a $5 coupon on your receipt). I'm ready to return! :-) read more

Have enjoyed all 3 times I've visited! Food is delicious and the staff is friendly. They have done a great job renovating the space.

Much improved! We went to this restaurant on opening night and sadly it was not a hit. Gave it a few more tries and we were not impressed but we back there again tonight and their food was awesome! Everything tasted fresh, full of flavor, and we had great service. . Will come back again! read more

The food was decent, around 3 stars. However the service was rude. When we ordered our lunches at 11:30am on a Friday we were charged dinner prices for them. The waiter Fernando made me feel like I was the only responsible for the mistake. I told him "It would have been nice if you asked for clarity between lunch and dinner when you took our order." He replied "people always want dinner sizes when they come in for lunch. Next time you need to clarify that when you order." That's pretty funny Fernando because there will not be a next time. read more

Food was good. But size of $10 taco salad was in a deep fried flour tortilla bowl that was only 5 inches (or at most 6 inches) across. Salad was way too small. Service was glacial took over 20 minutes after ordering. I had to physically get up and go to server to get bill. This was 3 PM on a Saturday restaurant had good number of customers for that hour but they were not slammed. read more

Food was not as good as usual and was cold. We had to ask several times for to go boxes. When we first arrived they were not busy but it didn't stay that way. Service was lacking and we were rushed out. I ordered a $32 to go meal that came in just a paper bag. When i got home and started walking to my door the bottom of the bag gave out. I called and was told "were to busy to deal with this". I told him I know you were busy I'm just letting you know you got to put your stuff in plastic bags, they usually do and this was the first time we received our food simply in a paper bag. I'm really ticked I've never been so disrespected as a customer. I know you're busy but you still have to deal when there is an issue. Very disappointed and Trace Amigos this evening. read more
