I had been going to Bruce at Trends for years and years for a highlight and cut, and was always happy. In fact, whenever my mother in law visited, she made sure I booked an appointment for her with "that nice young operator who sets my hair the best , it stays all week!!! " When my MIL needed long term care that we helped with at hundreds of dollars a month, I needed to trim expenses. So, I let Bruce know, and stopped highlighting, and started getting less expensive cuts elsewhere. I still took my MIL to Bruce. My hair was ok...but I never loved it. This went on for about 7 years. THEN, I went back , and Bruce cut my hair. First, the receptionist, Hannah maybe, was so wonderful, a true joy. Next, well, I just love Bruce, and my husband is ok with that. I should have read the reviews before coming here for my haircut. I always heard good things about trends. I trusted a bit too much. Kathleen was my hairstylist. I'm disappointed she let me leave the salon with my natural curls to later realize this. I come home to straighten my hair and I noticed how bad it actually was. Don't let her touch your hair. Now my long hair is gone and I have to deal with this. My friend called the salon for me and was informed that she's contracted through trends and doesn't go through them. My friend left her contact info to get back with her and she called my friend back and she was rude and suggested I go back to fix my hair. I THINK NOT! This salon did not only color my hair the WRONG color. They did not want to be kind enough to offer anything to fix it. I specifically asked for a caramel brown sunkissed balayage when she instead put Red Brown WITHOUT even telling me till the treatment was over. I really tried to be patient and put a positive note. But the whole day, my hair was RED. It was not brown AT ALL. Along with the fact that she rushed towards the end of my appointment and did not curl my hair in the best of her ability. My hair was burnt! NEVER once said the word Red whatsoever out of my mouth. The sad part was that she did not even want to tell the colors she was going to use on me instead she went behind my back to put a different color that I never even asked. Unprofessional. I really did trust her and thought she really knew what I truly wanted. Also not to mention that I had VIRGIN HAIR and she knew well that I was pretty nervous about everything and I wanted to make it clear to her of what I wanted and OBVIOUSLY she did not get the point I was putting across. That later afternoon, I called to tell about my disappointment and wanted to have some sort of refund or to fix my hair before I leave to AZ. Talked to the hairdresser Alisha and she said "Well you said you wanted that, so sorry for that. Can't do anything about it." I want Alisha to understand that if she did this to her OWN daughter, think about how she would feel. I bet she does not want her daughter to feel like she is embarrassed to get out of the house or feel insecure about how she looks. Think about that. The owner did not want to hear me out either. Basically, told me "Sorry, too bad for you. Can't do anything for you." He even questioned about my trip to AZ and said "Hmm funny how you have a flight to AZ in a couple of days" thinking I was "lying" for some reason and made fun of it WHEN I LITERALLY GO TO SCHOOL THERE AND WHERE MY BUSINESS IS AS WELL. THAT IS MY MAIN LOCATION OF WHERE I LIVE BRUCE. GET YOUR FACTS RIGHT TO BRUCE AND ALISHA and saying "Surre you have a flight to AZ" and I was even talking to Alisha about it during my appt. that I LIVE there and I have a BUSINESS RUNNING there. Bruce (Owner) was asking "When did you buy this ticket of yours??" "How far out in advance did you buy those tickets??" It was NOT necessary whatsoever to ask about my personal life. Unprofessional. To the owner: Actually PUT yourself in your customer's shoes. Stop being all 'Talk' when clearly you have NO RESPECT for your clients who PAYS your bills, PAYS for your "business" to keep up and running, PAYS for your salary and PAY your stylists that work for you. How would YOU feel if the business owner did NOT give one ounce of respect to you? How would you feel they talk to you the way YOU talked to me? Mr. Bruce, you have a business. A business who OFFERS and PROVIDES customer service. YOU are a salon. Think about how you would feel if you were treated this badly like I have. Do not want anyone else to be treated like this. Bruce. Get out of your own way and stop being so selfish over others and thinking you are better. Actually think before you say something. Have respect for others. Stop acting like you are on top of an imaginary pedestal that was never there. Alisha. Don't ever talk to a potential client like that. Here at Trends Salon I've been coming to see Veronica for my Brazilian wax and facials. I could not be happier with the service I receive from her which is why I keep coming back. Since the first time I came to Veronica for a Brazilian wax, she has made me feel so comfortable. Her area is very clean and she does such a great job! Horrible. Totally destroyed my hair. My scalp was burned and my hair has been falling out in handfuls and I lost at least 3 inches in my length from the damage. I wanted my hair light ashy brown at the roots, streaky ashy silvery blond streaks/ balayage. What I got is super dark almost black roots that are also orange and green/orange streaks. Not pretty. Definitely not what I asked for. They did give me my money back but my hair is so destroyed now I can't even get the color fixed. Not for a very long time. And I am using olaplex, coconut oil, and heavy masks. It's crazy bad. The thing is that the reason I came to this salon is because it was highly recommended by a few people, and when I checked yelp not only people liked it but it seemed that if you did have an issue they do what they can to fix it. Not the case. I had contacted the owner, he did nothing to help me with the color or the condition my hair was left in. I sent him an email with pictures and did not even get a response. I really hate leaving bad reviews for small business, but this is why I just cannot shut up about this: My hair was wet when I left the salon, I knew it was super dark and could tell the ends were demolished but did know how bad it really was until it was dry so I paid and left. When I came in to pick up the refund the owner was there, I politely introduced myself and I thought that he would at least be interested in looking at my disaster, but he did not. No word of advice of any sort either. Lame. I am so sorry I ever stepped a foot in this place. My hair was actually pretty nice before, and definitely closer to my hair goals than this utterly embarrassing frizzy mess I have on top of my head now. I had long straight hair and wanted a layered cut and extra 3 inches off the bottom (pictures of the desired look was provided to him for reference). After washing and drying, my hair almost looked the same with hardly any layers. I came home and my family didn't notice much of a difference. I'm so upset I feel like I paid over $70 for my hair to get washed n blows dried instead of a cut. I thought maybe if I go home and use a curling iron to style it, It might look better but it looked no different asides from a couple inches cut off the bottom, something my mom could've done at home. I thought waiting over 35 minutes past my appointment time would be well worth the wait. I should've gone to a different salon near by. I've even had layers done at a Supecuts before and they did a much better job with layering, for more then half the price. Never again. read more

My lady, Paola, has been working with my hair for 5 months already. She started with a subtle balayage and now we are working our way on to going lighter. I feel safe with her doing my hair. She constantly watches over my hair and knows her craft. I'm more than happy that I found someone who truly makes my hair look and feel amazing. Christina is a magician!! My friend offered to make my hair platinum for a bridal show... but we made it orange.... Christina to the rescue!! She got me in at the end of her fully-booked day and stayed until my hair was something she should be proud of! It took two rinses, but Christina knew I had a show to do and she put in the time and care to make sure my hair looked amazing! She painted the orange out of my hair meticulously, one strand at a time. She honored her original price quote, too, even though my hair took two hours (gasp!). Terrible Salon. Worst customer service ever. Destroyed my hair and basically told me to F* off. When I first came in, everyone was so friendly and nice, I was expecting such a good experience. The "stylist" then proceeded to chop nearly a foot off my hair when I simply asked her to cut the ends. WTF. Then when my hair dried and I could see how the color turned out. OMG. I didn't think it could get worse, I was wrong, it did. I asked for subtle dark brown highlights. My hair looked fried and bleach blonde. It looked like I had been electrocuted. I was visibly upset. The salon staff just laughed at me and told me sometimes things just don't come out right. I asked them if they could fix it. They said no. I asked for a refund. They said no.
