Sarah did my haircut and keratin treatment, about 3 months ago. I waited to review to see how it would last....but I have never been this happy with my hair (ever). In my daily routine I cannot stand: blow drying, flat ironing, curling, using product.... I don't want to do any of that. I also refuse to dye my hair. My routine consists of shampoo, conditioner, leave-in, towel dry. I told her I wanted it to look "not bushy, and to fall into long waves." She cut it, layered it beautifully, and did the treatment. this is the worst hair cut i have ever had in my life. i just wanted a simple trim and to redo my layers. i specifically mentioned that i wanted to keep as much length as possible (i had pretty long hair before coming in) and i did not want long layers. i said i thought about long layers before but because my hair is long and falls very straight and flat, long layers probably wouldn't look great. but now my hair has two short, little stands in the front that fall to the bottom of my neck and the rest of my hair is down my back. the layers in the back look so choppy (my friend took a picture so i could really see) and it looks like there's two layers. one layer thats long and the other layer is an inch and a half above the rest of my hair. its not blended at all, and again it looks SO CHOPPY. I can't even get it fixed now because i have to wait for my hair to grow out again and even if i could, this would be the last place i would want to go. i will say though, the salon is really cute and the people seem nice and welcoming, but i just can't get past how bad my hair looks. i read the other reviews and they're all good, so I don't know what happened today. read more

Alé does the damn thing! I recently had the best haircut of my life with Alé. As someone who has extremely thick/dense and coarse hair, I benefit from a barber who knows how to blend and fade really well, and Alé definitely does. In the past I always felt out of place in "traditional" barbershops. As a gay man, I would leave feeling like that tiktok about a gay man leaving the barbershop after subduing himself and reverting to his FULL GAY FORM (using the cinderella shoe filter to exaggerate). It's hilarious and relatable but I can say Alé and the entire Gemini Salon made me feel extremely comfortable from the moment I walked in, to the moment I left. The Salon itself is really modern, cute and well styled and each stylist was very friendly and had a great sense of personal style that reflected their personalities and individuality (which were all enjoyable). Incredibly professional, easy to talk to, and the haircut was honestly the best I've ever had. Alé asked what I wanted, listened and took note of preferences I had, confirmed and gave me a better result than I could have imagine. I also enjoyed a delicious mimosa with the option of beer, or other drinks if you're not 21. The overall experience was a 10/10 and I couldn't be happier to have a place I feel excited to go back and get a great haircut. I've always wanted long hair . I've tried many other extensions and they always pulled my hair out or they didn't look real. With Sarah she helped me find the perfect fit for me . Sarah is excellent at color and very knowledgeable about product my hair has never been so healthy and beautiful . They are so comfortable and I can even wear my hair in a high ponytail.
