I picked up a slice of their Chantilly cake which was not good....the frosting on top was a strange texture and flavor was not there. The cream puffs were also an OK for me. I wasn't planning to leave a review, but I really feel compelled to share this experience…read more I submitted a request through Christy's website on Saturday for a cake I needed the following Friday. I didn't receive a response until the end of day on Tuesday. I also called her bakery multiple times and had no answer or response-- for 4 days! By that point, I already found another bakery to handle the cake, but had I waited, I would have been left in a very bad position. As a fellow business owner, I don't say this lightly ~ the level of communication here is pretty unacceptable. It takes legit, less than a minute to acknowledge an inquiry and set expectations. A simple "I'm totally booked out" or "I'll follow up" would have demonstrated basic professionalism and respect for a potential client's time and energy. When someone goes out of their way to find your business, fill out your form, and actively try to give you money ~ silence and negligence send a very clear message about how that effort is valued. You haven't earned a client here-- and maybe that doesn't matter to you, but word of mouth is the best form of advertisement, and that matters. My response to Christy's response: It takes less than a minute to fire off an email, or simply answer your phone. There's no such thing as "Easter Monday"-- it's just Monday. When someone reaches out with a clear deadline, a quick acknowledgment isn't optional-- it's expected. Even a one-line response would have been enough for me to plan accordingly.

I popped by one afternoon during an afternoon coffee run. I wasn't sure what I wanted or what I would find, but I knew this was the site of the famous ding dongs I see all over my social media, and so many other decadent delights. I was torn by the bounty of options-- I almost said f*** it and got the Raspberry Chocolate Cake slice as well, but did the responsible thing and only got the Snickers Brownie. Boy did that deliver! It was huuuuge! It was decadent and utterly divine. They did not skimp on the caramel. It may have put me into a sugar coma, but it was well worth it! I'll be back!
