Tremont Center is a great shopping area filled with quite a few local shops and several that retain the history of the area and will give you a real blast from the past! There is a nice large parking area for the center, and there's a great sidewalk allowing you to stroll a bit if you want to check different shops and restaurants out. Highlights include the Goodie Shop (try the popular cinnamon sticks or go for another delicious baked good), the Chef-o-Nette (it apparently has one of the oldest drive thrus in the nation), the Tremont Pharmacy, and the UA Food Market, which is the current rendition of the local grocery store (formerly Huffman's and Tarpy's). There is a classic old clock that is a symbol of the center located in the parking lot.
