To his credit he was knowledgeable, and somewhat informed me of what I was buying. However I snapped my crankshaft pedaling, not even three weeks after normal trail riding. I took it back in for the warranty, they were very busy on a Sunday. I waited for about 10-15 minutes, with my crankshaft in hand. I understand they were busy so I didn't mind the wait. Then the manger/owner, walks by me without acknowledging me or asking what was wrong, sees the crankshaft in my hand and says "your gonna have to leave that here" and walked away. I didn't even get a word in. I was stunned a little bit, less than 3 weeks ago he sold me a bike worth quite a lot of money. So I, left and went to Momentum on Mid Rivers, as soon as I walked in they greeted me and asked me how they could help. They explained everything to me and I dropped my bike off for them to work on. Mid Rivers now has a life long customer, I have gotten my friends into mtb and they shop at mid rivers. Moral of the story is, customer service is key.

Extremely poor service. I brought my bike in for a tune-up under my plan and they suggested I get…read morea new chain, which was fine. I picked the bike up and withing 25 miles the rear tire shredded on one side. I returned to the shop and was told this was just normal "wear and tear" and had nothing to do with the tune-up. I asked if an examination of the tires was nto something done in a tune-up, and they promptly told me that they have no way of knowing when a tire will shred or become unusable. The shredding was considered "a coincidence". I equate this to taking my car into the shop and know they will look at all the vital parts (tires included) and make recommendations on them. They seem to know what the remaining life span of a tire is I ended up having to buy a new tire and tube, which they would not even give me a discounted price on. They also mentioned that the tune-up plan I had purchased should have never been sold with the bike (not sure what that was all about...). I have been to many of the other bike shops in town and they are knowledgeable and thorough. These folks seem to be in it just for the money. Don't go here unless you really are in a bind. Go to a place where they know what they are talking about.

We have bikes but for various reasons decided it was easier to just rent from here than to haul…read moreours. It was a busy weekend but we managed to rent 2 bikes at noon. The bikes we had were well seasoned we will say. My husband actually had to get oil from his truck to oil his bike!! Staff working were all very nice with exception of the boy who actually assigned bikes to you. It is not that he was unfriendly but just not the type to do anything more than absolutely necessary. This business seems to be the only rental place in region but their prices were reasonable. $6/hour.
