Stopped in for a chai latte with oat milk and matcha. Such a cute bike shop/coffee shop. The bike shop area is closed on Sundays but we still got to browse their selection and will be back when they are open. We were welcomed by the barista when we walked him and he took our order and started on our drinks immediately. We ordered a matcha and a chai tea latte both iced and so good! James at SRB Bike Shop is a true expert. I left feeling like I'd just taken a masterclass in tubeless conversion. I came in with a long list of questions, and he patiently walked me through every detail: sealant choices, valve installation, tire bead seating, the works. He clearly knows the tech inside-out and explains it without a hint of condescension. He also steered me toward the Dynaplug Pro Racer, which proved its worth the very next ride. One of my tires had a puncture that sealant alone couldn't handle; two minutes with the Dynaplug and I was rolling again--permanently patched, no inner tube needed. Huge win. James didn't stop there. After hearing about the multiple punctures I'd been battling on gravel, he asked smart questions about my current tire setup, tread pattern, and typical terrain. He then recommended two bulletproof gravel tires. The whole SRB crew shares that same level of care. During a recent century, my chain started skipping with 27 miles to go (mostly uphill). Jacob spotted me at a rest area, diagnosed the problem in seconds, and had me shifting smoothly. That quick fix saved the ride. I purchased a bicycle from SBR Bikes and Brews in Chesterfield Missouri. The new bike was reduced in price I was told, because it had been used in a photo shoot and as a demo. I noticed there were several parts missing from the bike, rims, tires , cockpit parts and adjustments to the brake lines. After purchasing the bike it didn't take long before I started noticing the brakes were spongy. So I returned the bike to Bikes and Brews for repairs. This issue was not resolved the first time or the second time or even the third time. The brakes would work for a while and then the problem would return. This last time I brought the bike to SBR Bikes and Brews on 2/28/26 for the exact same brake problem. When I didn't heard any progress after two weeks, I called them. I was told, they were seeing if the brake parts were under warranty. Now since it's a new bike, wouldn't it still be under warranty? Another week went by, and not hearing any updates I decided to visit the shop. Magically the new brake appeared! I wondered if its arrival was because of my visit? Wouldn't you call the customer and say they had the part and your bike will be repaired ASP. Remember this it's supposed to be a new bike. Now with all the swings and misses this part should have been ordered after the second attempted repair. I guess I wasn't the kind of customer they felt the need to make things right. When you pay over 5K for a bike you would think the shop you purchased it from, would be on top of their service. I feel they took me for a ride and not the kind, any cyclists would ever want to take. read more

I probably wouldn't have found myself at SBR if not for all the city shops limiting test rides during the pandemic, but I'm so glad I ended up there. With all the demand for bikes, selection can be limited depending when you go, but as a fairly short woman I had several bikes to try in my price range. It's probably not the best shop if you are looking to spend sub- $1k, but they do have a phenomenal used bike and sale bike selection if you watch it carefully and move quickly. Katie was no-pressure and gave me all the time I needed to try a number of bikes out, and I walked out with a bike I love. read more

These guys were great! We had 2 bikes that has been quite neglected and needed some serious love. They got our bikes done super quickly and really only had a minor delay because of shipment issues. They were all really friendly and had a fun environment. I would have give them 5 stars but gave 4 stars because only a couple of the employees were wearing masks. We just are around many people who are immunocompromised and really appreciate businesses that enforce the mask rules. Lots of great reviews for SBR, but this not my experience with having a bike tune. I was charged for this service and the techs are either totally incompetent or nothing was done to my bike. After riding the bike the same issues that I asked them to service still exits. The back wheel was not trued, the rear DERAILLEUR was not adjusted. Every item on the service checklist that should have been done for a bike tune was not, except for of course, charging my credit card. Very disappointed by the treatment from this merchant and sadly will forgo the larger purchases that I was considering. I really, REALLY wanted buy a BMC or Scott. These were very basic adjustments that a professional shop should be able to handle with ease. read more

The mechanics and all the staff at Swim Bike Run Chesterfield (on Clayton Road) are top-notch! The shop is clean and huge and the bikes/brands carried are excellent. I've long been a customer here, as well as other local bike shops, and have nothing negative to say about Big Shark and Mesa (now Trailhead Mesa), which are the shops I always frequented previously, but in the last few years, since my regular rides nearly always take me right past SBR about 45 minutes into my rides, I got into the habit of taking a break there and got to know the staff. Absolutely awesome. When Penrose Park Velodrome re-opened last year I was ready with a Felt Track Bike from SBR, and they also set me up with a Wahoo Kickr and Climb on their own SBR Rockr platform. I have a BH Motion bicycle for which I needed a battery replaced under warranty. I live in California and couldn't contact anyone at the BH Corporate in MO. I found Swim Bike Run was nearby. I called and spoke to Grant. WITHIN AN HOUR, something I worked on for 4 MONTHS was resolved. He contacted BH and connected me with the right party. He called back and explained what was going on and how it was to be corrected. He did this for me and I'm not even a nearby customer! PHENOMENAL SERVICE!!! This is not a shop if you're looking for a $300 bicycle. I needed to prepare myself before walking in. I think most would agree, that with good road bikes, you get what you pay for. Don't try and save a few bucks if you're going to spend a lot of time on the bike. With that said, these guys know their stuff. I know nothing...other than the fact that I need to buy a bike. I did my research, but still know so little. There is so much to learn when buying a good road bike. The staff took the time to educate me, they were patient, and offered me a deal that I was really surprised by. They want you in the right bike, and will take the time to work with you to find it. My advice: get fitted properly for a bike. Don't go cheap on the seat, shoes, or shorts / pants. You don't need to buy everything you need here, but hear them out and know that speak from tons of experience. Ask what sales are coming up, because when you're spending this sort of $$$ for a bike, you should get the most for your money. I for one am a fan and will be a loyal customer. Super helpful place! I don't do triathlons - just a runner looking to cross train a little, and while their stuff is definitely high end (for a novice like me), they are incredibly nice and helpful. They helped me with my cheap, craigslist bike, and I saw that they definitely knew their stuff (as they worked with other, more experienced clients while I waited for my bike). Swim, Bike, Run has the most knowledgeable staff, most complete selection of gear, and the best service for the triathlete or any one dedicated to one of the triathlon sports. As a life-time cyclist with forty-five years of experience, I think that I have a reasonable background for giving them a five-star rating. The Guru fitting is without doubt something all serious riders should do. I had three seasons on my road bike, fit by another shop, and still found some issues on long rides. James spent almost an hour with me on the Guru and made some changes to the fit that had major improvements for my ride. In planning to purchase a tri-bike, I again did the fit process, discovered that the bike I particularly wanted would not fit me, and learned which bikes would be perfect matches for my build. Now here is the real clincher: service after the sale. During the first couple of rides on my new high end tri-bike, I found it unstable and difficult to control. Some would just say that well that is the experience of a new tri-bike, but Mike at the O'Fallon store inspected the bike, thought something wrong the steering, and rode it to confirm. The result of his personal service is this: mechanics inspected the bike, contacted Felt, and resolved that the bike had a fork issue and would be replaced. We are talking serious bikes and serious money here for those serious about their athletic endeavors. But it is not just bikes, they simply have it all as their name states: a knowledgeable, personable staff, and a shop which clearly stands above all the competition. read more
