I LOVED this studio...I was able to walk to everything ( for such a tiny town there is GREAT food and drink to be had within just a few blocks.). I really appreciated how well thought out every detail was...from the super easy to use smart TV (I am not remote-savvy), to the thoughtful extras like an espresso machine, a nutri-bullet (I'm a smoothie addict), an excellent selection of books for both general reading and exploring the area (no matter what your activity of choice is). The internet was great, as I did still have to get some work done, and everything was clean clean clean! I seriously wanted to just move in. I took a hike (the Labyrinth / Coyote Wall hike - about 7.5 mile loop that I found in one of the books in the studio), and it was absolutely gorgeous - there are an insane amount of hikes in this area that are all close by....not to mention all the water sports if you're into that. Hop over the bridge and you can do some shopping in Hood River. I really loved coming back to White Salmon at the end of the day though - I preferred to eat and drink here (an excellent cold beer at "Everybody's Brewing"....definitely go there) and walk back to the studio. My stay was SO relaxing, and I needed for nothing while I was here. The host was super nice and responded quickly to any questions I had. I highly recommend this little gem, and I'm definitely coming back!

After I parked in its underground dirty parking lot, wr couldn't find the lobby/front desk to check-in.... because there us no hotel lobby, no hotel clerk, no hotel front desk. Walked around, the rooms looked like luxury dorms. Doors are locked/unlock using code keypad. You have to book your room online and get your door code via email. No thanks. We moved our car out of the dirty parking lot... This is not a hotel, not an inn. No in person service at all.

It is still unfinished, under construction and cheaply done and per older reviews it has been in this state for over a year. There is NO elevator. because there's a gaping hole where it should be, and many stairs and levels. Minimal comforts in the room, two towels for the entire stay. (And remember no desk to request more) No closet to hang clothes, so few furnishings there was no where to put our belongings besides the floor or bed. There are undoubtedly beautiful views of Mt. Hood if your room is facing that direction and that's probably the only thing that salvaged this stay. Listen to the negative reviews and stay elsewhere until this company works on finishing this and rebranding it.

Unfortunately the cafe gets one star, the eggs and avocado I got last time was downright offensive. As in, this meal should not have been served/ left the kitchen. The avocado was rock hard, brown and unable to be mushed with a fork and $4, the eggs were greasy and burned brown. Oh no, this was disastrous, I returned the avocado as it was inedible and ate two bites of the burned eggs... over $12, really disappointing.

We sent dozens of requests to book a room. When they finally responded they would not send over any email confirmation to confirm our stay. They informed us we were confirmed, and we never heard from them again. The dates came and went, and our room was never booked. I would encourage everyone to stay far away from this hotel, unless you are looking to be stressed out and disappointed.

Despite not really needing a car to explore during our stay, there is ample, well-lit parking available. We always felt safe. Every staff member we encountered - from front desk to housekeeping to breakfast staff-was friendly and helpful. We were greeted with smiles from everyone. It is obvious that this property prides itself on customer service. They were very accommodating to my request for a late check-out because my son's windsurfing lesson was delayed due to wind conditions. We appreciated their flexibility and understanding very much. Our room and the entire property were immaculately clean. The hallways were wide and well-lit. Our bathroom and sleeping area were spotless and bright. The bathroom was well-stocked with towels and toiletries. The beds, pillows, and linens were super comfortable. The breakfast area was also neat and clean. There is an indoor pool and hot tub, as well as a gym, water bottle filling station, and small market. The daily free breakfast had a wide, varied selection, and the food was delicious - somehow so much more so than the usual free hotel breakfast. The afternoon's warm cookies were plentiful. One afternoon, there was even a beautiful bowl of fresh cherries offered. The hotel itself was quiet, but the traffic on the nearby highway was loud at night. However, the hotel supplies free earplugs and white noise making fans to help you sleep. The staff seems to think of everything to make their guests feel at home! The attention to detail is to be commended. I highly recommend the Hampton Inn and Suites Hood River. I look forward to returning in the future!
