Wow, this place captured my 7 yo granddaughter's attention for an entire day! If you need an indoor activity, this one has lots to offer! So many unique play areas. I've never been anywhere that offers so much fun and learning opportunities. Families with children 2-12 all seemed to be having a blast! Favorites for us were the schoolhouse, Walmart grocery store, and diner. Don't miss the theater opportunity that happens a couple of times per day, super cute that kids in audience are selected to act in the play! We were even able to leave for lunch, then re-enter afterwards. Helpful as Grandma needed a break in the action!

Absolutely love this place for my kiddos! Very affordable and no time limit, you can be there all day long! Highly recommend!

My three grandsons (3 years /2 years/17 months) loved this cool interactive museum. Even the adults had fun. Parking was limited on a busy Saturday. They are located southeast of the LDS temple. I thought the admittance prices were fair ($7 for children and $5 for adults with annual family passes for $40). There are several play areas: castle, treehouse, diner, grocery store, rodeo, art centers, life-size chess, train, fire truck, dinosaurs, reading chair, toy farm animals and vehicles, international (Russia, Japan, Peru), USA floor map, etc. They have costumes, toys and books. Several employees were walking around offering assistance. They even have kid-height urinals. Ha. And drinking fountains. There are stairs and elevators. They have baskets to put items that need to be washed. My grandson celebrating a birthday was able to choose a prize from their treasure chest at the front desk. He wanted a pencil.

This was a blast!! The kids were happy the whole time! So many things to do I could even start to say them all. I hope to visit more often!

People rave about this place and our first visit made it abundantly clear why that is--this place is AWESOME. I brought a 2-year old and a 5-year old on a Friday afternoon and we spent more than 2 hours exploring non-stop. There are so many areas and fun things to do!! My daughter loved the tea party house, anything with art (all over!), and the trains; my son loved the trains, the map games, the rodeo area and more. We didn't even get a chance to see it all before our schedule required us to go. If you have a child anywhere from age 2 to 10 I'd say this is a MUST VISIT spot if you are in the area. So fun!!!

Possibly a little too scary for some audiences-usually those that are shorter than a yardstick. The indoor area of the museum is very well done with lots of displays and exhibits that educate guests on the different pre-historic beings. There were far more than I could have named on my own with my basic "Land Before Time" dinosaur knowledge. Upstairs, you'll find rocks and gems, which is well done although maybe less interesting to some folks. However, take a peek at the dinner rocks-there's a whole display of rocks that are in the shape of food. I got a kick out of that. Outside, there's lots of wide open space with paths that wander throughout the trees. There are dinos dispersed throughout the property, and a few benches to sit on. Lots of the grounds were covered in weeds, which may have been what the dinosaurs preferred to eat. However, in modern day, it just looks unkempt. For a kiddo-or adult-that has a fascination with dinosaurs, this could be a fun place to spend an afternoon. For the rest of us, an hour or two is probably plenty.

This museum was very manageable and not overwhelming. We went on a Saturday evening and it wasn't packed at all. The kids loved the real outdoor helicopter, the large truck, the construction area, the awesome market, the cute cookie shop, the bus with card reader, the gym with the scarf wind tunnel and balance bikes, and the Lego race car building ramp. The kids were all really well-behaved and so many of the caregivers were supervising and involved in the imaginary play with their kids which made for a good experience. The exhibits are well varied which keeps things interesting. It was clear that some things are very new and some things are very old and worn out. They force you to walk through the gift shop to leave. The Legos and car bases are ready to be replaced with new ones. Parking was available but the North Garage payment system is pretty confusing and hard to use because there is no cell service down there. The staff at the museum would not help us validate our parking because we left at closing.

Grocery store, auto shop, art studio, bank, farm train depot, basketball court, dinosaur exhibit and everything else you could imagine! About $14.50 for adults, $12.50 for kids & seniors. It was loaded with fun! The only disappointing parts is some of the stuff was out of order and the amazing train depot area only is on display during certain hours of the day and unfortunately during our trip we didn't get to experience the fun of that. If was a great afternoon experience watching my child play with everything and fascinated by it all at the same time. Definitely a place worth checking out if you have kids!

My kids are 2 and 5 and they had a blast. My partner and I typically love kids museums, but we didn't enjoy this one. We went on a Monday around 3 and it was packed. As an educator I really appreciated how exhibits were super low floor and high ceiling so kids of a large age range could all enjoy, but as a mom of littles it was dangerous and overwhelming. There were so many kids sprinting around unsupervised which was a safety issue for my little ones. They got pushed around a lot, many kids were hoarding all the balls or pieces for certain exhibits. The amount of running was pretty dangerous especially for my almost 2 year old. I liked that they had indoor and outdoor exhibits. They had a car repair shop, water play, air driven scarf and ball mazes, fish feeding (for a cost), a play ground, a climbing gym, a ropes course, a cafe, a gift shop, mazes and brain games, and many other exhibits. They had a variety of locations to park strollers. There were steps and elevators. The bags they put the fish food in were way too flimsy. Both broke on my kids and we were scrambling trying to hold the food and pick it up off the ground. It was nice that they have free parking and don't make you exit through the gift shop.

I read up on military stories. And sometimes, I was lucky enough to meet a veteran that would share their stories. Hill Aerospace had all of that. Since my wife does the planning, I didn't think much of our visit until we pulled up and those large decommissioned military planes sitting outside in all of its glory brought me back to when I was 10 years old. But the magic continues after you walk in. Within three large hangers housed of some of the most historically iconic planes on display. Add a small platoon of veterans, many of which had personally flown some of these pieces, the stories were endless and I had the honor of speaking with a number of these veterans and listen to their stories. It was an amazing time and I could have spent the whole day there. I don't say this often, but Hill Aerospace is almost a destination museum. It was such a great experience and those veterans made it that much more special.

I'm talking dressed-up crowd, glitter everywhere, real champagne, and the kind of DJ who knew exactly when to drop Beyoncé, ABBA, and a surprise 2000s throwback that had all of us losing our minds. I came in thinking I might just sip something bubbly and leave before midnight. Instead, I danced for four hours straight, made new friends, and now have a very blurry selfie that might become a family heirloom. The setting was gorgeous, by the way. Big open spaces, cool lighting, and just enough art and architecture to make you feel elevated while also clutching your clutch and screaming the lyrics to "Mr. Brightside." The vibe was party, but in a classy way. Like you could go full glam and not feel out of place, but also not feel judged if you kicked your heels off before midnight and went rogue on the dance floor. Which I did. No regrets. Would I go again? Already planning my outfit. 10 out of 10, would ring in the new year under a disco ball surrounded by Salt Lake's most unhinged and best-dressed again.
