Valleyview is a huge garden center that houses the most plants I've ever seen in one area. They've got everything for your gardening needs. I've been picking up my flowers and herbs for a couple years here. They've always been great quality, bloom wonderfully, and just generally healthy happy plants (anything contrary to that is because of user error). I also love their hardware. Such pretty pots and vases. Once in awhile, they have pretty good deals. They had a bunch of potted herbs for about $2.00 at the beginning of this summer. We also picked up a bonsai on sale. Staff are helpful and knowledgeable so even though the center is huge, it doesn't feel too intimidating.

The staff are amazing; so friendly and helpful (shout out to Giancarlo for gardening tips), while the selection is mind-boggling! We spent over 2 hours and left with plants we couldn't find elsewhere, like Birds of Paradise, bougainvillea, blueberry cherry tomatoes, broccolini, and so much more! We bought a blueberry bush last year, and the berries tasted a bit sour, but Valleyview has several varieties, like Jelly Bean! We ended up getting 4 different bushes! We spent several hundred dollars, and returned a few days later to pick up more items! I had to urge my husband to stop - lol This is definitely our go-to place from now on! Notes: - Family-owned & operated since 1970 - Super busy, especially on weekends, so parking will be tight/limited - Washrooms available

I haven't checked out the nursery in-person yet since they are so up north. However, I was able to buy online and pick up when they came down to the Toronto Flower Market recently. If you missed that opportunity, they also offer delivery via Plantrunz for about $25. Now I have a ton of houseplants but 0 cacti. I'm not much of a cactus fan but I've made an exception for one boobie cactus. This cheeky plant has been on my wishlist for some time. It was more than I was willing to pay to import. If you don't mind growing it small, it's only $35 here. I also picked up a hoya, Pinguicula (carnivorous plant), and, while I was there at the market also a fuzzy tradescantia variegata. Note most of the plants seem to be outgrowing its pot so you likely need to repot soon. Other plant accessories I purchased include hard-to-find sphagnum moss, their version of chunkier pon (medium for plants), clear orchid pots and hoya plastic wire trellises. Happy and excited about my purchases. Customer service is excellent; they were flexible to change my shipping option. Make sure to have all purchases in one order because if you add on later it's a $5 fee.

My wife wanted to visit this garden centre located at Major Mackenzie Dr E and Hwy 48/Markham Road…read moreso we took a long drive up here from T.O. The parking lot had enough space for a dozen vehicles inside the chain fence and others were relegated to parking on the shoulder of Hwy 48. This place gave me the impression that the Kim's were waiting around for a developer to gobble up their corner property for redevelopment; maybe it happened already. I found the building was an era of the past with mismatch rooms, uneven flooring, makeshift extensions. The word relic kept popping into my mind. If you can get beyond that, there are plenty of plants choices, Koi fish, gardening & pond supplies,, pots, lawn ornaments, etc. The prices were on the high side...my wife knows as our own garden is a testament.
