This year I decided to start a garden for the first time and the fantastic people at Tree Valley…read moreGarden Center really helped me out! I gave them a vague idea of what I wanted to do (plant hydrangea and vegetables) and I gave them the dimensions of my garden. They suggested the type and amount of soil I needed, and showed me the selection of hydrangea with explanations of how they're different. I really appreciate how patient they were with me! Overall I was really happy with my experience here! It's thanks to them I have a successful garden this year!

I purchase flowers from hardware stores, grocery stores, Kim's Nature, Walmart, etc.. Now I need…read moretrees and shrubs. An online research took me to Tree Valley Garden Centre in Stouffville. Tree Valley is really big. Based on an aerial picture on its website, it is more than 10 acres in size. When I stood in the greenhouse, the sea of plants and flowers goes on and on. When I stood outdoors in front of the tree inventory, the sea of trees go on and on till the end of line of sight. There are many trees such as spruces, cedars, junipers, euonymus, maples, etc to satisfy just about anyone's gardening needs. There are a mind blowing varieties of shrubs (see the pics I uploaded). There are tropical plants that most definitely have to stay indoor for the winter. There are racks of climbing vines and flowers that are living wall ready. There are planters of plants so big and beautiful that they are fit for mansions and hotel lobbies. What is unique is that there are some trees and flowers that are already trimmed into artistic shades. For examples, there are roses that are trimmed and grown into a tree shape (for your info, roses are naturally in a shrub form). There are rocket cedars that are trimmed into a spiral. There are many flowers in pots and baskets in the greenhouse. I didn't see many flowers outdoors. Hence, I suppose many of the flowers are for partial shades, not full sun. There are some flower varieties here that I didn't see at Kim's Nature, and vise verse. I didn't see as many seedling trays here. I can see myself buying flower seedling trays at Kim's and potted flowers here. The people at Tree Valley put many sold products along one side. I noticed that many purchasers were gardening and landscaping companies. I suppose the quality of the products must be well recognized. I can see myself buying shrubs here for my garden as the selections fit my needs. As for trees, I think the pricing is on the higher end.

If you're in the part of adulthood where you suddenly love plants or landscaping, this is the place…read moreto go. Valleyview is a huge garden center that houses the most plants I've ever seen in one area. They've got everything for your gardening needs. I've been picking up my flowers and herbs for a couple years here. They've always been great quality, bloom wonderfully, and just generally healthy happy plants (anything contrary to that is because of user error). I also love their hardware. Such pretty pots and vases. Once in awhile, they have pretty good deals. They had a bunch of potted herbs for about $2.00 at the beginning of this summer. We also picked up a bonsai on sale. Staff are helpful and knowledgeable so even though the center is huge, it doesn't feel too intimidating.

How did we not know about this garden centre???…read more My husband started gardening last year and had great success, so he wanted to branch out (pun intended)! The staff are amazing; so friendly and helpful (shout out to Giancarlo for gardening tips), while the selection is mind-boggling! We spent over 2 hours and left with plants we couldn't find elsewhere, like Birds of Paradise, bougainvillea, blueberry cherry tomatoes, broccolini, and so much more! We bought a blueberry bush last year, and the berries tasted a bit sour, but Valleyview has several varieties, like Jelly Bean! We ended up getting 4 different bushes! We spent several hundred dollars, and returned a few days later to pick up more items! I had to urge my husband to stop - lol This is definitely our go-to place from now on! Notes: - Family-owned & operated since 1970 - Super busy, especially on weekends, so parking will be tight/limited - Washrooms available

I usually find something I want, be it a rare plant, planters, or plant supplies. This place has it all! I'll start with their plant selection. They have a variety of harder to find/rare plants at affordable prices. For example, philodendrons, alocasia and anthurium. They also carry lots of orchids, succulents, carnivorous plants. It's really heaven for the plant enthusiast. They also have a wide variety of plant supplies. One of the only places with such a big selection of media such as pumice stone, akadama, sphagnum moss, etc. In addition, they've got lots of beautiful pots and they even drilled drainage holes into them for better use with plants! Lastly, the customer service, you feel part of a family! Wing has always been so friendly and helpful, always remembers me which makes me feel so welcomed! Strongly recommend!

My wife wanted to visit this garden centre located at Major Mackenzie Dr E and Hwy 48/Markham Road…read moreso we took a long drive up here from T.O. The parking lot had enough space for a dozen vehicles inside the chain fence and others were relegated to parking on the shoulder of Hwy 48. This place gave me the impression that the Kim's were waiting around for a developer to gobble up their corner property for redevelopment; maybe it happened already. I found the building was an era of the past with mismatch rooms, uneven flooring, makeshift extensions. The word relic kept popping into my mind. If you can get beyond that, there are plenty of plants choices, Koi fish, gardening & pond supplies,, pots, lawn ornaments, etc. The prices were on the high side...my wife knows as our own garden is a testament. Purchases must be over $10 to use credit or debit cards. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. We made purchases but this was a one and done.
