From the nostalgic trinkets to vintage items, there's a variety of selection that'll be sure to grab your attention! Be prepared to stay a while so that you don't miss a thing, which is a ton!! I absolutely love their signage especially the Las Vegas ones. Prices are fair given that these items are no longer in the market. Service was awesome! Charisma was very friendly and attentive, greeting everyone who came entered the store. We will definitely return when we're in the area again!

This place was like visiting a museum. It had lots of fascinating items. Several people were rifling through the record albums. I was busy going through all the stickers, and picked out three that I liked (heart, Monroe, and love). A bargain at $1 each! There were military uniforms and artifacts, as well as luggage. There were black jackets and a Big Boy statue. There was furniture, Star stand ups (like Clint Eastwood), and assorted small & large knick knacks. Prices were the low to high depending on what you bought. Staff was friendly & knowledgeable!

My wife decided that I was going shopping with her this weekend. We ended up at one of her…read morefavorite places - the Ventura Antique Market. She always leaves the store with treasure and a smile. I dislike shopping, but have a very hard time saying "no" to people. I think it stems from my turbulent childhood. I was bullied as a child, in part, because I went through puberty early and had a much deeper voice than every other boy my age. At home, my brothers called me "James Earl Bones," because of my deep voice and the fact that I was painfully thin. I was a Star Wars fan at the time, which took the sting out of that particular moniker. At school, however, I was given the nickname "Smokey Robinson." My junior high classmates were not referring to the popular Motown singer, but to our very elderly school lunch lady- Miss Robinson. Miss Robinson was called "Smokey" because she had a two-pack-a-day cigarette habit for most of her adult life. As a result, her voice was as gravelly as the path to Grandpa's shed. I discovered a lovely antique typewriter as my wife and I meandered through the capacious Ventura Antique Market. The surprising find reminded me of the letters that I wrote to my wife many years ago during our brief college romance, which turned into twenty-five years of wedded bliss. I wore down her resistance to my initial romantic overtures with a combination of shameless groveling, an overwhelming letter writing campaign, and close up magic. I was quite the Romeo in my time - immature, impetuous, and over-dramatic. And, on occasion, I wore tights. It was a popular fad for some of the more adventurous Drama students at our college. I was an Accounting major; however, so some of my classmates found my tights unsettling. My wife saved a few of the romantic letters I wrote to her that weren't, in her words, "too sad or concerning." A number of my more passionate letters were confiscated by University Security Officers as 'evidence'; which was the result of a silly misunderstanding that was quickly resolved with the payment of a small fine and a promise to stay out of the bushes wearing tights near the girls' dormitory. In any event, we wrapped up a wonderful day of shopping and nostalgia at the Ventura Antique Market by purchasing an antique soup tureen. We excitedly headed home to use it by preparing one of our favorite dishes - the Coq au Vin recipe from Lou Ferrigno's first (and last) cookbook. Who knew protein powder could be used to thicken sauces. Thank you Ventura Antique Market!

Hands down this was my favorite place to shop when visiting Ventura…read more There are so many cool things in this vintage shop. This is an antique shop and it has some of the coolest things I've seen. The prices are a lot better than the antique shops that we have back home in Sacramento. I found two things and I'm really pleased that I got to support such a lovely shop. The workers were so kind and personable. I can't say enough good things. There was a treasure at every single turn. There were even nice areas where things were kind of organized by item type which makes it easy to find something that you might be looking for. There were sale items thought the store with really good prices as well. All in all, I couldn't recommend this shop enough it's so fun even if you're just browsing through. Love that I got to support this shop, a great place to spend your money at.

I really enjoyed my experience looking through this store (they have a LOT of stuff) but, it was a Sunday and I was racing the sunset... (they would be closing soon) and I wanted to see a lot more of the town. So I cheated myself. My biggest tip to someone coming into town is to allot enough time on Main Street to enjoy it. This is especially true if you are an antique shop or thrift store aficionado.

I am not sure how I missed this jewel of a gift store on my many visits to Ventura and Main Street…read morein particular. Where do I start. They have such interesting merchandise including an assortment of unique gift cards, maps, pictures, stylish hats, scarves, and rare books to name just a percentage of what they have to offer. The sales associate was very friendly and helpful. He even tried on a hat I wanted to buy my husband and was concerned about the size. He let me know they take returns within 30 days with the receipt and original tagging. Fortunately it fit! This amazing shop is on Main Street which is closed to through traffic. There is free publick parking just down the street at the Museam of Ventura County. It is also in a great location for other speacialty stores and eateries.

small businesses often thrive on personal and reasonable service to repeat clients and customers…read more my BF had bought me a lotion from there. it was not the scent i normally buy from there (and i'm very sensitive to scents). all i wanted to do was exchange an unopened untouched box/bottle of the lotion for a different smell. same price, same brand. wouldn't have cost them anything. however, we evidently came in three days past their exchange "window" and they were completely inflexible. I have a small business myself and to me it's more important to provide service to my clients that will support the ongoing relationship and reputation rather than holding rigidly to small print to "protect" a $20 transaction. This store does not hold the same business philosophy that i do. that said, Copperfield's has lost any future business or referrals from my family who have been repeat customers for years.
