I ordered a motor mount for my go kart from box stock project. when i tried to mount it all up the…read moremotor mount was machined incorrectly and did not allow proper alignment. the mount did not adjust in the proper way. i called the shop and explained what was going on. i was transferred to Jimmy. i explained again to Jimmy what was going on. Jimmy begins to tell me the whole story of how the mount is a direct copy of Bur*** mount. and that they changed the "design" 10% so they could avoid a copy right infringement. i said that was all nice but what ever they did this one is not correct and is not usable. Jimmy's response was "what do you expect me to do about it" i said i wanted to return it and get my money back. Jimmy said no that he could not resell it as new because it was used. i told him i did not use it and that it is not usable. it is not built correctly. Jimmy said no they would not return it. DO NOT do business with this shop! there are plenty of clone kart shops around and we do not need one like this. poor poor customer service. and Jimmy does not seem to be an honest business man

They were gearing up for Valentine's Day so there were a wide selection of stuffed animals and wooden roses. The wood roses are a great idea for those who love roses but do not like so see them wilt. Prices were reasonable for a brick and mortar store.

If you want to browse, you could spend hours here. However if you want something specific -ASK. I had something special I needed for an art project and I could not find it. I ended up asking and then asking again to find what I needed, there are that many selections. But even then, I found a few things when I was browsing. Parking is plentiful.

After graduating from college out of state, I came back to my hometown for a visit and discovered that they coverted this building into a Hobby Lobby! I had never heard of this store before yet I was thrilled that it was like a major arts and crafts place like the old Carolina Pottery that used to be across the street and in Lake Park. It is like Michael's and JoAnn's thrown together. MAJOR. I always make an effort to come by HL everytime I come to visit my hometown. HL has a wide variety of artificial flowers and plants, much more than Michael's has. They also do carry a huuuuge selection of home and yard decoration, some small furniture pieces. If you need sewing accessories and maybe some fat quarters, HL has a great range of fabric. Got painting skills? They carry canvases, all types of art papers, paint, markers, water colors, etc and everything an artist needs. I am really jealous that Valdosta has a HL cause where I live now (Palm Beach County) does not!!!!!!!! The only complaint I have is sometimes the workers at the register are so enthralled with their phones, texting, and sharing photos off of their phones with other workers while there are customers waiting and waiting in line to check out! I've had to wave down a couple of them while they were "busy" looking at each other's cell phones and saying "awwww that is soooo cute"...... *attn HL manager* please have your workers NOT bring their cell phones with them into the workplace if you want your customers to be happy and if you want to make money! Not a bad place to get models!…read more Lately, I've stopped buying stuff on Amazon to help support small businesses, including all of my models/supplies. Unfortunately, there aren't many hobby shops around but Florida RC Outlet always comes in clutch. When you first walk in, it just has that sort of model builder vibe that's super welcoming. The decor, the vending machine to the left of the door and the way it's laid out. Definitely reminds me of a hobby store from back home. They have mostly RC stuff (makes sense) but they have a fair selection of plastic models and a generous selection of paint, brushes, glue, etc. I've been building models since I was a kid, so I'm extremely well versed in different kits/manufacturers and what they're worth. That being said, their prices are fair and not overpriced. But the best part of it all is the idea of helping keep a hobby store in business and buying their products in person. It's a little far for me, but the next time I'm in that area I'll definitely find myself in Florida RC outlet.
