They have installed audio systems in at least three vehicles for me. Work was excellent.

For my car, Travis rigged up a hidden kill switch (kills power to the starter) as a theft deterrent (my idea).

I first called Best Buy who had installed my last dashcam at a decent price a few years ago, but that price has apparently tripled as they quoted me at nearly $450! I then called two other local businesses who both quoted me somewhere between 400-500 bucks and was even told by one of them that they don't like to install the 3-camera systems. What the crap?! I finally called 208 Audio and ended up chatting with Gene for quite awhile about the set up and what I was hoping to do. He was the only person that day of everyone I talked to who took the time to find out more about the system I got and the setup I wanted to use with it. After a detailed conversation, he told me he could do it for $200. Deal! He was able to schedule me two days out. I took my truck and system in early morning and we did some planning and troubleshooting together on where everything was going to go. After that, he told me it should be done in about 3 hours. As promised, it was done three hours later and what I picked up was a beautiful-looking job! The system worked perfectly, the cameras were all in the places we had discussed, there were no visible wires showing, and everything just looked fantastic. He honestly made it look like it was a factory-build. As weird as it sounds, it always genuinely excites me to find a local service with better prices than big box stores but still delivers the quality of a caring local business. That's what I found with Gene and 208 audio. I highly recommend and will be back for any related needs!

I took my 2022 Chevy Silverado in to have the front windshield tinted with a brow and paid extra for their premium heat-shield film. At first, everything looked great. However, after a few days I noticed there was a piece of fabric trapped between the windshield and the tint, directly in my line of sight where my heads-up display projects. Because that's where you're looking every time you drive, it is impossible to ignore. When the sun hits it, it looks like a white air bubble and is extremely distracting. I called the shop, and to their credit they initially told me to bring it back. When I arrived, one of their employees immediately acknowledged that it wasn't right and scheduled another appointment to redo the windshield. I had to take time off work a second time to drop my truck off, only to receive a phone call two hours later saying there was nothing they could do because the piece of fabric was within their "allowed 5% debris tolerance." That response was completely unacceptable. There was no apology for the poor installation, no concern for the inconvenience of making me take additional time off work, and no effort to make the situation right. The attitude I got was essentially, "It is what it is." I've had six different vehicles professionally tinted over the years and have never experienced anything like this. A visible contaminant directly in the driver's line of sight should never be considered acceptable, especially when a customer pays for a premium product. Based on both the quality of the installation and the way this issue was handled, I cannot recommend Tint World in Boise. If you value quality workmanship and customer service that stands behind its work, I would look elsewhere.
