After yanking out the entire apparatus (including a still hot electrical outlet) and noting what had been done, I called several plumbers, but Good Guys is the one that actually answered. They came out, gave me their assessment, which was to put in a more permanent solution, and an estimate of what that would cost...which was less than I figured it would be. Two days later, they came back, and had it done quickly and professionally. These guys got the job done, and didn't break the bank doing it. I recommend them highly.

I called Justus and they came out the next day. The two guys that came out were very helpful and nice. When they realized what the issue was, they immediately went to get their equipment to fix it. They needed in the gate, but my husband had given me the wrong gate key. They could have told me I'd have to reschedule, but they took my gate off to get in, did the work, and put my gate back on. As they were leaving, I had asked them to see if my water heater would've be easily converted to a tankless. But I had a lot of boxes in the garage since we just moved. I mentioned the boxes and one guy said yeah they were a little cramped back there. I figured we'd do it another time. The second guy noticed that our vent was off the water heater. The first guy said that he needed to move the boxes to fix it or we could die. I was going to get my brothers to move the boxes, but both of these guys moved them and were so nice about it. They fixed the vent so gas wouldn't leak out, and fixed my plumbing, despite my issues, all while super nice. You just don't find folks like this anymore. Hopefully they will be doing my tankless water heater and a new line to convert from an electric stove to gas soon. I met the owner a few days later and he is just as nice as his guys! I called our home warranty company on Tuesday morning and they referred a plumber to us, but he couldn't make it until Thursday. When he came out, he was unable to unclog the line. He told me not to worry and to call the city to come out and check the lines. They did and said their lines were clear. Again, he told me not to worry, he was going to do whatever he could to help us out, and he would call me back after talking to our home warranty company. Our home warranty company denied the next step, but he said he would work with us to take care of our problem. He had a machine that was more heavy duty, and he would call me at 4:00 Thursday afternoon to set up a time for Friday. No phone call. I called him 3 times on Friday and left messages. Still no phone call. I was told by my home warranty company that I had to go look for a plumber on my own. I looked up on Yelp, put out requests, and Van Dyck was the only company that actually called me and wanted to talk to me. The other companies just wanted me to schedule an appointment. So I called Van Dyck on Monday afternoon, and they came out today (Tuesday). They were professional, took the time to explain what they were doing, and they were able to unclog the line! I know this review is long, but I wanted to explain why Van Dyck has earned my 5 star rating and my recommendation for this company. A year ago Van Dyck techs installed a water filter system for our church. At that time, I was very…read moresatisfied with work but it was pricey. Almost one year later we had a flood in the hallway with water coming from the filter system that Van Dyck installed. The filter system had fell off the wall due to the system was screwed into the wall with no anchors, just inch and a half screws in the sheet rock. The weight of the filter system caused the filter caps to Crack flooding the mechanical room, entryway and hallway. Van Dyke came out and replaced system and charged the church 580.00. I called and spoke to someone named Derrick and told him this was shoddy work and that the church should should not have pay. He said he would investigate. I received an invoice and was told it had to be paid now. Call a second time and still waiting to hear from Derrick. If they can treat a church this way, I know others can expect the same treatment. We have an maintenance agreement with Van Dyke but we will not be using them again. LG

He was able to reuse most of the wood, his estimate was very close to final, with the difference being changes suggested and ok'd by me in advance. Unlike other folks, he keeps you informed. If he has to leave, he secures the area and lets you know where he went and when he expects to be back, then comes back. I have to keep giving him tips, because he keeps giving me deals. 10 of 10, my new go to for home repair issues. Part way through repairing my fence, I sent him to talk to my neighbor at her request, who also lost several sections of fence. I don't know yet what his limits are, but even if it's something he can't do, I'd value his advice, so he'll be my first call.
