If you want to read the story, keep reading BUT what I want you to know more than anything is, if you care about the cost, STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! If your loved ones are going to use them, please have them consider getting another quote because they are at least 2-3 times more expensive than their competition. I found that out the hard way. I called them out for two showers. One didn't have ANY water coming out of the hot water side. The other shower had a bad leak/ or leaks. To make their call easier, I cut out the walls so they could see the plumbing from the other side. Save me time and money, was the plan. A very failed plan!! The licensed "plumber" took on the job of, no water coming out of the faucet. He first checked my electric to the hot water tank. THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN MY FIRST SIGN! Then he was checking the hot water tanks electrical. I told him, we have hot water everywhere, but we didn't have ANY water coming out of the faucet. Side note, I had watched a 15 second YouTube video that told me it was something with the faucet but for me, I needed a professional to fix the faucet, hence I call the plumber. After an hour and a half, he told me it was the faucet and that he couldn't fix it. He said I needed a whole new shower set up and that would be close to $1,200. I told him, I couldn't do that right now. During the time he was wasting on that shower, I went to help the "journeyman" with the leaking issue. I had to ask him if he wanted me to turn on the shower so he could see and he said yes. SHOULD HAVE BEEN SIGN NUMBER TWO!! He said he found the leak and started working on it at the head of the shower. They turned back on the water and it was still leaking. The "plumber" said they found another leak. He then told me it was coming from the faucet, and that it would cost me up to $1,200 to fix that one as well. I was stunned. I said, so neither problem is fixed today and he said no. I told him to get me an estimate and send it to me, and I would see about what we could do. He then went and figured out the cost of not fixing my two showers. He came back in later, and told me it was going to be $553.00 for not fixing either shower. I was not happy, and told him that they didn't fix either problem. He told me he "diagnosed" the problem with one shower. And that they fixed a leak in the other. Then I said, but it's still leaking. The problem I wanted you to fix, you didn't fix. I went ahead and paid the bill with a credit card so I could dispute it. I knew I was going to call the owner and let him know, I received the worst plumbing service of my 55 year life. So I spoke with the owner, and he told me that it basically was a one person job and that he was sorry and would re-figure the bill. I asked him how much and he didn't answer..... SHOULD HAVE BEEN SIGN 24!! The company then credits back a little over $150. So the new charge was $395 or so for fixing neither problem I was having. He also told me that he would order the new faucet part for each faucet but he would install them for nothing. I just had to pay the parts cost, and he said that was around $90 each. BUT, if I wanted him to do the work it would be another week before he could get to it. You ready for this?????? I called another plumber. He walked in and in 6 minutes he had the one shower completely fixed, with hot and could water coming out full blast. He then went to the leaky shower and in two minutes showed me the leak....... AND IT WASNT EVEN THE FAUCET!!! It was an easy fix!! H20 told me "they wanted right". Since then, they haven't credited back any money, and won't respond to anymore of my texts. Worst plumbing experience of my life, and second place is faaaaaarrrrrrrr away!!! Horrendous service! BEWARE! BEWARE!! Because their $115 service call for an hour, sounds pretty good. They will smile and be real nice. Then when your bill is $553 and you're trying to find a place to fix your plumbing when they leave!!! Lastly, I called 3 places to have the entire shower system replaced with the exact same hardware, and I was quoted at $600-$695 fully installed and guaranteed. All were a lot lower than $1,200.

Van Dyck Mechanical is an absolute godsend!…read more We had a clog in the sewer line on Monday night. I called our home warranty company on Tuesday morning and they referred a plumber to us, but he couldn't make it until Thursday. When he came out, he was unable to unclog the line. He told me not to worry and to call the city to come out and check the lines. They did and said their lines were clear. Again, he told me not to worry, he was going to do whatever he could to help us out, and he would call me back after talking to our home warranty company. Our home warranty company denied the next step, but he said he would work with us to take care of our problem. He had a machine that was more heavy duty, and he would call me at 4:00 Thursday afternoon to set up a time for Friday. No phone call. I called him 3 times on Friday and left messages. Still no phone call. I was told by my home warranty company that I had to go look for a plumber on my own. I looked up on Yelp, put out requests, and Van Dyck was the only company that actually called me and wanted to talk to me. The other companies just wanted me to schedule an appointment. So I called Van Dyck on Monday afternoon, and they came out today (Tuesday). They were professional, took the time to explain what they were doing, and they were able to unclog the line! I know this review is long, but I wanted to explain why Van Dyck has earned my 5 star rating and my recommendation for this company. I've never had to do this before, and I have had companies try to "pull the wool over my eyes" because they know I don't know what to do or what questions to ask. A year ago Van Dyck techs installed a water filter system for our church. At that time, I was very…read moresatisfied with work but it was pricey. Almost one year later we had a flood in the hallway with water coming from the filter system that Van Dyck installed. The filter system had fell off the wall due to the system was screwed into the wall with no anchors, just inch and a half screws in the sheet rock. The weight of the filter system caused the filter caps to Crack flooding the mechanical room, entryway and hallway. Van Dyke came out and replaced system and charged the church 580.00. I called and spoke to someone named Derrick and told him this was shoddy work and that the church should should not have pay. He said he would investigate. I received an invoice and was told it had to be paid now. Call a second time and still waiting to hear from Derrick. If they can treat a church this way, I know others can expect the same treatment. We have an maintenance agreement with Van Dyke but we will not be using them again. LG
