They put the pipe in but they didn't concrete it in so someone else had to do that.. they told me I got a hard water softener. I called him three times and asked them. This is a hard water softener. Does it need salt tablets no, it doesn't.. Little bit down the road I had some plumbing issues. I called another company out and he looked at my sister and he said do you know what that is? I said well Pippin Brothers of Lawton Oklahoma. I said it was a water softener. He said it's not a hard water softer it's water filter and it's not filtration through the house. It's filtering back to itself so I wasn't doing anything.. Shady Business. Rudest customer service. During my initial plumbing service, the team said they "fixed the issue," but it was only temporary. However, I was naive enough to sign up for their membership. A week later every pipe in the house wouldn't drain. So I called Pippin Brothers to fix the exact same issue; however, I had to pay full price. Later, I called them to look at my HVAC because the membership offers a free inspection of HVAC and Plumbing per year. When I called, they claimed they had no record of my membership, even though they've charged me for it. When I called to cancel the membership, the rude customer service rep 1. Asked if I meant to call Pippin Brothers 2. Offered no apology 3. Claimed that she's the person that enters that information into the system and that she doesn't remember my name (LOL). We bought a new AC unit from them 2 yrs ago. So far this summer it has broken twice, and they expect you to wait days in 100 degree weather until they can get to you. Was told I can't call anyone else because it would void my warranty. They shouldn't sell something they don't have the time to service. Absolutely the worst plumbing company EVER! They "repaired" an outdoor water faucet, then, while still under warranty, 11 months later, it broke. I called them, they confirmed it was under warranty and came out and "repaired" it again. The plumber actually identified the original Pippin plumber who did the original work and chastised him for his shoddy work. Once the repair was completed, a crew came out to repair the wall in the study. They finished on the Friday before Mother's Day. On Mother's Day (2019) as we were heading out to dinner, I walked into our study and noticed it was under water. I called Pippin to fix it and their initial response was that we would pay holiday rates if they had to fix it. They encouraged us to wait until Tuesday, the earliest they could get a repairman to the house. After reminding them that they had just finished "repairing" it, they send out a plumber at no cost, well, almost no cost. A few months (6-8) later, I was unable to turn off the new faucet. I called Pippin again and was told that they only warranty their work for one month! So we spent another $200 to have another plumber come out to repair it!!!! Oh, wait, did I mention that they refused to take responsibility for the flooding caused by the second repair? Their lawyer called after I spoke to the manager (months later) and told me that they were not responsible for the damage!!!! It could have been the parts manufacturer, the parts distributor, the party selling them the part. When I asked if they had installed improperly the first time, necessitating a second visit, the waffled but refused to pay for the damages (over $14k). So months after the event we had to use our insurance to pay for the damages. That included a study, a bathroom, a hallway, and the master suite. They are worthless and completely unreliable, not to mention more expensive than others. I would recommend buying a boat before recommending Pippin Bros repair anything! read more

Had a septic issue in a rental i manage, called pippin brothers even tho i have had issues in the past because they usually do work fairly fast. It was a week and a half before they started. Was told worse case scenario would be 8 business days and $18,000. took over 4 weeks and final bill was $32,000. Honestly i would have continued using them for large difficult projects because they do have the manpower and equipment, except after calling me back about the final bill, they forgot to hang up the phone again- 3rd time this has happened. Third time i have listened to their Service coordinator and other office personnel trash talk me and other paying customers. Purchased a home which was supposed to have had repairs done by Pippin Brothers. Everything they did was horribly done if it was even done at all. When we called to ask why items still weren't working the lady who answered was RUDE and tried to charge for them to come again (obviously they don't guarantee their work!). Worked it out with the seller and Cody came out. He was so unprofessional, rude, and incompetent it was actually embarrassing for the company. Summary is they quoted me $2500 for something that made no logical sense to them being there. My friend was waiting for them to arrive, said the guy was rude and talked down to her when she even was confused at what the guy was suggesting. I have a slab-leak from the hot-water, and this guy said the leak is coming from the outdoor spigot, and gave me an estimate of $2500 to fix it. Warning: Rip off. Too expensive. They will price gouge you. I do NOT recommend. This review is for two separate visits because hey, anyone can deserve a second chance. Here goes: They will arrive unprepared and without all the needed tools and supplies. They wIll not do what you ask them to do but will instead perform an inspection of all the things they want to do - and if you say you don't want all that just do what I asked for, they will still charge you for showing up and still not do what you wanted in the first place - and the quote they give you for their list will be at commercial prices instead of residential prices - which is in the thousands of dollars for simple repairs. They will quote you almost $600 to fix a clog because they can't get through the clean out (sounds like an ineptitude problem on the plumber's part) and must remove the toilet first even though you were told it would be $99 to unclog a toilet. When you ask how do they come up with that $600 figure, the response will be that they have a book with all the prices in it. (This left me wondering who comes up with these arbitrary prices.) (For the record, a new wax seal is around $5.00 and it takes probably 5 minutes to remove a toilet. It's literally 2 nuts and bolts. With that in mind, I don't understand why it's almost $600 to go this route - even if the new wax seal is super fancy and costs $20 or $30.) They will say you need a new toilet even though the one you already have was installed just a few months ago and there's nothing wrong with it. I don't mind paying a fair price for the work, but being price gouged is unacceptable. I would give zero stars if I could based on their prices alone. I cannot speak of their actual work because I would not let them do any work due to their exorbitant and highly excessive prices. I cannot stress enough how much I do NOT recommend Pippin Brothers. read more

I truly don't know how they're going to last through this recession, because the ridiculous prices they quoted me, after telling me the service call would only be $39, but no, it was $49, then gave me an estimate of $900 to fix an emergency plumbing issue. Clogged pipe. Can't use the shower or toilet. For them having to pull the toilet because they couldn't locate the 2 way clean out, and that required them to pull the toilet, $900. I went to Andy's, and it cost $143. They fixed everything and it was for a fraction of the price and they charge $90/hour. They were professional, polite, and fast- more importantly, they didn't price gouge me. Pippin brothers needs to know and understand their demographic, because if they simply served wealthier people or businesses, then I get the pricing, but that's not what this was. In this economy, maybe be a little more humane in approaching people who, especially now, can't afford premium prices when, according to these reviews, the service and quality is absolutely terrible. read more

First cold day of the year - went to turn the furnace on and no heat... we'd used Pippin Brothers before so gave them a call first thing in the morning and they had our heat back up and running before the close of business. The only way they could have been better is if they had an Electronics Technician or Electronics Shop that could have replaced the two burnt out resistors on the Control Board instead of replacing the entire board (a repair that including tech service charge would have been less than $100 instead of the $500 part replacing the entire board). However, I'm not that good at electronics work anymore so we paid the top dollar... which is what all the service companys depend on these days. AS for the Service Technicians - friendly, clean, professional, and competent. Can not complain at all about the service technician at all. Both of the technicians we have encountered from Pippin Bros have been wonderful to deal with. No problems or worries inviting them into my home at all. Both encounters resolved the issues quickly and the technicians also did a complete review of the system to ensure no other problems were lurking in the shadows before leaving. Will use Pippin Brothers again in the future for sure. read more

I needed a standard water pressure test at my house. There's nothing to 'look at', there's no need to estimate anything, just come out for a few minutes and hook up a gauge. Excuse #1: We have to come out and 'look at' your house and 'estimate' how much work needs to be done. And that will be $29.95 for us to come out. Excuse #2: "We don't have a price list for that service" (Maybe you could get one? Especially for something that simple?) I called another local plumber in town. The contractor showed up that morning ready to work, (even though I was not notified ahead of time) so when they finished putting the counter and sink in, I needed a plumber - and in a hurry! We recently spent over $21,000 on a new heat pump, duct work and insulation from Pippin Brothers. Our experience was frustrating to say the least. The job was to take 3 or 4 days...it wound up taking OVER SIX WEEKS, and still things are not finished. They made huge messes inside and outside of our house and left them for us to clean up, used my personal tools that were in the garage without asking, left sheet metal screws and nails in our garage and driveway, missed appointments, left things unconnected and generally displayed a level of incompetence and unprofessionalism that still has us scratching our heads to this day. At one point they cut a 2 foot X 2 foot hole in our office wall and left the resulting mess for us to clean up telling us they couldn't clean it because their shop vac "won't pick up dust". Then they came back a few days later and patched the hole with duct board and an ugly metal grate because the noise was too great in the room. The unit itself is crooked in the wall and leans to one side. They managed to crush the air box on the bottom of the unit (where the air filter resides) so that the door doesn't shut completely or seal. They also beat the walls up around the unit so much that we will have to have someone come and patch them. Now that we've paid them, we have so much dust in our house that we literally could dust every other day. Our salesman spoke to the owner who told us he would address this problem when PSO paid us the money for our energy rebate. Well our PSO rebate came Mark Pippin (the owner) called to let us know that he didn't intend to fix our dust problem after all. When I mentioned how bad the dust was, he told me that "I've got dust at my house too...I just have my housekeeper clean it every week". Unfortunately, we DON'T have a housekeeper. So basically he lied to us so he could get our rebate money without having to fix our problems. Even though we paid Pippin Brothers to seal our duct work, when PSO did their follow up test, they found higher levels of air leakage than what they consider optimal. No doubt this explains some of the dust we're seeing in the house currently. And that's currently where we stand with Pippin Brothers. These guys show you a lot of guarantees during the selling process to get your business...but those guarantees are worthless if the company won't honor them. We saved for a long time to replace our old HVAC system. This should have been a relief to us when this work was finished. But this experience has been truly frustrating and downright depressing. Undoubtedly professional and knowledgeable, but way too expensive. Near criminal prices. Was installing a new fence and accidentally augured through a sewer pipe. I dug it all out and saw that the pipe was still functional, but had a crack and hole in the top of the pipe. Not an emergency as my tenants were still able to use water with no problem. I do 98% of all my repairs on my rentals, but this particular time I had equipment rented and family and friends helping me put up this new fence. I had no time to spare. So I called Pippin Brothers. First I'd ever used them. I had the problem identified, the hole dug, and all that was needed was two fernco couplings and a 3' long piece of sewer pipe. They wanted $750 to repair it. I may have been busy, but I was not about to give my hard earned money to these people for a 10 minute repair with $29.55 worth of parts. It gets worse. While one guy was figuring up the repair cost, the other proceeded to cut out my pipe that was still functional!!!!! So after my FUNCTIONAL pipe was cut out and slamming me with a near $800 repair for a 10 minute job that I had done most of the work on (digging) and for $30 after tax for parts I tell them no way in hell. Well, they got my hard earned money anyway. Charged me $150 to come out, leave me with a hole filling with sewage which forced me to turn two tenants' water off, and taking me from my fence project that was on a tight deadline. To top it all off, a couple days later they send me a post card saying how much they appreciate my business. I bet they do. $150 for a couple guys to come out for five minutes and then leave [me high and NOT dry - covered in raw sewage]. I should have taken them to small claims court for my $150 back. We have been without hot water for over a week. The hot water went out over the weekend. We called the following Monday only to be told it would be Wednesday afternoon before they could come assess the problem. We waited and waited and waited on Wednesday and finally called Pippin Brothers at 5:00 asking if they were still coming out. We were told they "called" and left a message that they were running late and wanted to know if we wanted to reschedule for another day. No record of the call from Pippin Brothers was recorded on our cell phones and no messages were recorded. Dispatch made another appointment for Friday morning. Pippin Brothers said a part was needed and could probably get it locally in Lawton. After Pippin Brothers came back saying they couldn't find the part in Lawton, they said they would order it but wouldn't be able to replace the part until Monday. Monday morning goes by and Pippin Brothers do not show up. We called and were told they were at another site and would be here in the afternoon. Now it is almost 4:00 and still no Pippin Brothers. We call again only to be told the part had not been delivered. Now they are saying it will be tomorrow. We realize some of this is out of Pippin Brothers control, but lying about trying to call, or making promises they can't keep is all on them. We will never call Pippin Brothers again. read more
