It was not holding a vacuum, which he promptly found the issue, RE-flared the connecting copper hose to the compressor, vacuumed, charged and had it working in minutes. I spoke with just about every other HVAC company out here, all wanted $200-500 just to come out to my farm, and additional fees for the fix. Some wouldn't even care to venture out to Central High as it wasn't convenient to their schedule. Needed an assessment done on a couple of pipes that, at one point, connected to a water softener…read morethat a previous owner of my house in their infinite wisdom actually put under ground. Of course it failed the first time it flooded; said previous owner just put in a braided pipe to bypass the water softener and just left the whole thing in the ground. After yanking out the entire apparatus (including a still hot electrical outlet) and noting what had been done, I called several plumbers, but Good Guys is the one that actually answered. They came out, gave me their assessment, which was to put in a more permanent solution, and an estimate of what that would cost...which was less than I figured it would be. They came out and started the work, but once they dug, they saw some of the lines were encased in concrete. So they had to come back a couple days later to finish.
