Little background: I travel OFTEN for work and stay in…read morehotels. At least 70% of the year. I have a habit of keeping my room extremely tidy. I don't have my things spread across my room, etc. I also do not require housekeeping to clean my room more than once a week to change bedding, towels, and to replace trash bags & toilet paper. On the days housekeeping DOES come in my room to clean, I pack up all my belongings (i.e., hygiene bags, charging cables, etc). So once they get in my room, it seems as if I never unpacked. The ONLY things I leave out are my products in the shower. Although this hotel provides shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the shower- I still like to use my own face wash and conditioner (especially in this dry climate). Fast forward: There was a problem with my sink and it would take 24 hours before the water would be turned back on in my room. The front desk was able to provide me another room. However, it shared a door with a room which had a loud, crying baby. I get up each morning at 4 am for work and wouldn't be able to get adequate sleep if I stayed in that room. The front desk allowed me to sleep in my original room, while only using the secondary room to use the restroom and sink. Awesome- that was a workable temporary solution. I understand that meant I would be taking up two rooms momentarily, but realistically- two rooms would have been unavailable either way since no one would be able to stay in the room without water. I woke in the morning, grabbed my clothes and whatever else was needed, showered and got dressed in the spare room, then proceeded to grab my dirty clothes and my hygiene bags to finish getting ready in my original room, and I hung the "Do Not Disturb" sign on the spare door. I did not take my shower stuff since I was planning to return and shower in that room after work. After work, the sign was missing from the door and my key did not work for either room. After speaking with the front desk again, they decided to book the spare room to someone else, said the water was turned back on in my room but I couldn't use the bathroom sink for 24 hours- instead I was instructed to use the living area sink (secondary sink). However, my shower stuff was not in my original room- and no one had moved it from the spare room. I checked with the front desk, who checked with housekeeping. I was expecting to hear: 1) "Housekeeping bagged your belongings, let me grab them." Or 2) "It was accidentally thrown away." Something with an explanation. NOPE. I was told, "Housekeeping said nothing was there." What? I KNOW without a doubt I left my stuff in the shower. I even double-checked all my bags. Nothing. My stuff didn't just walk away or disappear. I'd rather be told, "it must've accidentally been thrown away." Instead, they doubled-down. Almost insinuating that I was wrong and/or lying. One of the front desk ladies even resorted to explain how hotels work- which I found was a bit condescending. "You see... we don't just ASSIGN someone a room. We actually have housekeeping CLEAN rooms before we assign them." Yup. Thanks for insulting my intelligence. Yes... I fully understand how hotels work. Then she offered to replace my things with amenities. I don't think she was grasping that a single-use hotel toothbrush will not replace my high-end conditioner. But whatever. I was over it after the condescending instruction. *There's an unsettling feeling when you highlight a concern to the staff, and they gaslight you.* When anything (no matter how small) goes missing, it's concerning. Then we ask ourselves - "What else could possibly be missing?" It leaves you questioning. I was more upset that my high-end hair conditioner (brand new bottle) was missing. More so than my razor, loofa, and face wash. (The other items can be picked up anywhere- but the conditioner I have to order online.) *Summary: I (100%) no longer trust the staff with entering my room for any reason. And anyone who stays here should be cautious. When you leave your hotel room, there should be a safe sense of security. No one should have to worry about hotel negligence.* NEW ADDITIONAL NOTE: My coworker told me he is also missing something from his room.

At 11:00 at night, I was walking around trying to figure out what it was. It was vibrating the walls in the room. I thought maybe it was the ice maker, but that thing was super quiet. Almost sounded like it was coming from the ceiling. Maybe something on the roof? At any rate, I could not for the life of me sleep at all. Had to go down to talk to the front desk. They were helpful and kind enough to switch me to a different room, but by the time I moved my stuff and got settled in the new room, my internal clock was all messed up. Ended up sleeping very little that night and was a zombie at work the next day. Very appreciative that they moved me, but stay away from the lobby side of the 4th floor if you can.

In the past, we've always booked the Best Western Yuma Mall. It was time to check out another location. First off, thank you to reception for allowing us to check into our room (since it was ready) 1.5 hours earlier! There is a $15 early check in fee- and totally worth it. But, there is also a decent sized lobby area to relax in. There are designated parking spots out front for Elite Best Western members & motorcycle parking. Tons of luggage dollies to haul your belongings instead of making multiple trips. Convenient sundry shop adjacent to the reception desk for quick lil snacks. Then again- the hotel property is at the tail end of a shopping center w/ tons of restaurants to eat at. I initially booked this property for the suite sized rooms & outdoor pool area. I was too exhausted to enjoy the pool after our motorcycle ride & lunch. I've never booked a suite from Best Western Plus, and this room did the trick. For me, personally- after hundreds of miles on a motorcycle- I need all the extra leg room I can stretch out in. If it wasn't just a quick one night layover- I would have taken advantage of the big fridge! Breakfast buffet starts at 6am on the weekend. The earlier, the better!

Plenty of parking, a lot of places in walking distance, and the Applebees right next door provides a discount if you show them a keycard from your room. Also, if you're staying long term; the hotel also provides hot plates, pots and pans; and anything you need for cooking as well. I've stayed in literally hundreds of hotels for work, and this is the only establishment I've ever been to that provided such a service; like I said, you can tell this place really cares about its clientele. Found this place in 2022, 3 years later and I'm still loyal to it. I'll continue being a loyal customer so long as they keep up the amazing work! Highly recommend!

I was relieved to hear that cause I was only visiting for 3 days and wanted to spend as much time with my niece and her family who live in Yuma and not have to worry I needed to be back to get my luggage. When I booked my room I requested a room away from the elevator. Didn't think the hotel review the request but they did and I was given a room away from the elevator. My room faced the farms. It was really nice to wake up every morning to see some greenery. Breakfast was very basic. After day one, I never went back. My room was clean. Bed and pillows were nice and soft. I read a review about the a/c system turning off when no one was in the room. This was what I experienced as well but I didn't mind cause it didn't take long for the room to cool down once I'm back in the room. The a/c unit by the window is loud when it turned on. I got used to it after day 1 but wish it would not be so loud. There are not many restaurants near the hotel. You'll need to Uber/Lyft if you want options for food. The hotel shuttle will take you within 3 mile. The shuttle will take you to downtown Yuma as well. Would definitely stay here again whenever I visit Yuma again.

Some hotels are like that and you can still smell smoke, but this one not even in the hall way you were able to smell smoke so I really like that. That's why I say I would stay here again. We didn't see the pool but maybe next time we will go to the pool. Besides the elevator being kinda scary just feel like they need to repair it. She said we were yelling we are lesbians down the streets. I don't identify that way but what if I did? And I don't, no biggie, but we got profiled. A few tats and no men in the group??? Is this 2025 or 1952. She follows us harasses us, parks under our open window to listen to conversations. She can't hear but we can when she takes off fast when we go to the porch. We had no complaints at office and they were embarrassed to even have to say we welcome all here. She shined flashlights in our eyes in the pool because we didn't have a golf cart???and pretended she didn't know who we are. We've met her and she called landlord. I came to relax and she has ruined my rightful enjoyment of these premises. Peace=privacy. Stay tuned for an update if she continues or is let go.
