My wife and I were in town for the Yuma County Fair and stayed at the Holiday Inn right next to the freeway. It felt very exclusive and the room we got was on the 4th floor. It was amazing. Spacious. Two queen beds, a chair, bureau, large flat screen TV, etc. We had a lot of space and a very quiet room. Decent size fridge and a microwave as well. We got breakfast cards with our stay and had terrific meals each morning from Burger Theory. A couple of days we took our meals to go so we could have them as lunch at the fair. This is clearly the premiere place to stay in Yuma. It was great to see several pilots and flight attendants checking in one night and several members of the Army or National Guard another night. It's a short shuttle trip from the hotel to the airport. As bustling as the hotel was at times, we were never neglected. The staff was always top notch - from the manager on duty to the ladies in the Burger Theory, to the cleaning staff. Highly recommend staying here the next time you're in the area. read more

This is a great place to stop and sleep. First the front desk has been manned every single time I have come or gone from the room. I feel so much safer knowing they are there. I have been greeted each time too. My room is huge and I don't feel like I'm away from home, the bed is so comfy, and the room is so quiet. There are lights in various parts of the room so I can read and not disturb my DH while he's sleeping in. The bathroom is great, easy to access, nice hot showers, and I have a fridge for my cold waters each morning. I'm very pleased and grateful for a nice room, great service and close by food. I was out visiting family in Yuma Arizona and decided to stay here at the Holiday Inn. Not sure if this location is new but it was really clean and look new from the outside and inside. And as soon as you walk in the first thing you notice is the lobby straightahead, and also the restaurant Burger theory. The staff was super friendly, very welcoming at check-in. The rooms look pretty new very modern. I always enjoy staying at a Holiday Inn. The bed comforters are great. You actually do enjoy some rest. This location was very peaceful. Another thing I like about this location is that it has a lot of restaurants literally at walking distance. But also, don't forget that it has its own restaurant inside the hotel (Burger theory). Which also has a full bar so you can actually enjoy a great stay having some drinks. If you are ever in the area, I really recommend this hotel. read more

We were looking for a place to sleep as it was getting late and didn't feel like continuing our drive home from California. Found a bunch of hotels near each other but based on pictures decided to try this one. At first, I wasn't sure as I drove past a few Lower end hotels nearby but then found this one and it is really nice. Super clean and it has been remodeled. They have a burger restaurant on site that is really nice looking too. The front desk staff was nice and courteous and our beds are so clean and comfortable, I love it. I didn't have any high expectations but I must say this was a great choice, affordable, clean and comfortable. read more

I stayed here for one night before doing a dental adventure in Algodones across the border. When I arrived, they somehow greeted me by name and had everything ready in advance so that check in was quick. There are only a couple flights to Yuma from DFW so I arrived earlier than normal check in which was no problem. There is also a restaurant called Burger Theory in the hotel and I ordered a customized burger and it was delicious! It had everything I needed and it was nice and quiet and the air conditioner was amazing! I highly recommend. read more

The Hotel is actually very nice. It's updated, with a decent gym, pool and nice restaurant. However, the WIFI is the absolute worst I've ever seen. Here for all of Aug and Sep for work and have repeatedly asked HR to cancel and change the reservation to a better hotel. Not worth the $5K the company is paying to be here when you can't connect to internet unless you're in the lobby. read more

In spite of this, or because of the location, I cannot put together how this hotel cost over $170 for a night. Thus, for lighting a fuse in our wallets, I shall be holding this place to a godly standard. | COVID Disclaimer | Way to go, Holiday Inn!... at not enforcing your own mask policy! While the employees were covered, there were shady guests floating about the lobby, unmasked and unconcerned. One dopey fellow was unmasked and unshoed, lounging on the lobby couch like a cat cleaning itself. Not one reprimanding word from the staff? Of course not. The elevators have signs that encourage social distancing; they even post stickers on the floor as to where you should stand during the conveyance. This struck me as silly though; why not just restrict elevator use to one party at a time? That would make more sense. | The Room | We stayed in a King Room, and it was not bad. Spacious, sleek finishes, and even remote-controlled air conditioning which I appreciated. However, for whatever reason, the air felt smothering during the nighttime. My fiancé reported her allergies being bad; it could simply be that we were in Yuma. While I didn't cough or sneeze, I felt like it took a notch more effort to breathe properly during the evening. Somehow, we fell asleep, but we've definitely had better sleeps. | The Lockout | During check-in we requested an extended check-out, so the receptionist lengthened our stay to 2 PM. So, imagine my annoyance when I got back at 1 PM the following afternoon, after running errands, to find the room locked. A mild inconvenience, of course, and it didn't take long to fix. Remember though, we paid 4-star cash! | Verdict | 3 stars. This hotel is not worth a penny more than $100 per night, especially given the overall quality and unhealthful clientele. We will likely not return. In the future, if we're road-tripping down the 8, we'll bare through the extra hours to lodge in San Diego where you're more likely to get what you pay for. read more

This place was filthy, it was so disgusting that I called the manager of housekeeping to come see the filth. He took pictures and was truly embarrassed of what he saw. I do not give five stars lightly, but this Holiday Inn knocks it out of the park. As with any hotel, it starts with the service. The front desk personnel throughout my four night stay could not have been more friendly. Having an early departure for my day one day, they offered premade breakfast to grab and go. And it's the little things. Very thick towels, the kind you would expect at a much more acclaimed hotel. Plenty of light in the bathroom, something that most hotels fail to address. There is also a business center that's easy to use. And the facility and grounds are very clean with modern (read, not worn out) furniture, big TV in the lobby (they will change the channel if you make a request). There's a small restaurant "Kems" that had a creative and tasty menu, much more than I expected. The menu has salads, appetizers, burgers, and a few main dishes. I felt like I could have ordered something new every night for a month. And everything was tasty. They also have a wonderful breakfast menu with everything you'd want made fresh to order. And they are generous with the perks. Each day you can get a $5 off breakfast which makes going anywhere else seem foolish. For IHG members, they offered a free bar drink (house wine or domestic beer draft). The bar overall was small, but the bartenders were very friendly and service was prompt. Perfect for a quiet drink at the end of the day. My only knock might be a smallish gym (see photos). Just a few dumbbells, exercise balls, and a couple of cardio machines. I just had to make due. The location is central and convenient (right off the freeway), yet not too close that it is loud. The International Airport is nearby as is the city center. read more

Holiday Inn is probably the cleanest hotel you'll find in Yuma. I enjoyed two nights here. I stayed on the 4th floor and was impressed to see how clean, spacious and comfortable the room was. Hotel was completely booked for this past weekend and staff did a great job maintaining the common areas clean. There is currently no room service available. However They do have a lounge and burger restaurant with reasonably priced items. I believe the servers name is Catrynna, she provided my family and I with Excellent service during our breakfast. FYI kids eat free for breakfast and lunch. Hotel staff was friendly and professional. Definitely recommend this hotel if you plan on visiting Yuma. read more

What a shit show! Booked in advance for a room with 2 beds guaranteed. Checking in At 10:30 pm. Got to the hotel with children and they tried to put me in a room with 1 king bed! Best offer was to put us up in their companion property which was below minimum standards. But it may serve you well to know that the Springhill Suites are right next door and have wonderful rooms and are extremely accommodating. Go Marriott. Nothing more frustrating than getting to a destination with no place to sleep! read more

Would like to give 1/2 more star but this is my first visit to this Holiday Inn and I don't want to go overboard until I stay again. Only came in for one night from a few days over in Las Cruces, NM, was Superbowl Sunday, the first thing I noticed in the lobby check-in was the cleanliness of the lobby and front desk area, and even more important was the super professional check-in desk staff, I mean, are they mind readers? Couldn't have been smoother. I had the impression after staying in lots of IHG brands that the simple Holiday Inn moniker, not the Express, Staybridge, and other product name brands where I stay more seemed to have resurrected one of their oldest brands to a kind of signature status here in Yuma, I just haven't stayed in the original main brand for years. Who knows what goes on in the IHG marketing Mind? After a 500+ mile day trip, it was nice to have an in-house restaurant that did the basic 3 squares and not have to go zipping about a town I didn't know. So we had dinner and breakfast the following morning. Nice. When I tried to make reservations a little over a month later for a return trip from this snowbird winter, this place was booked, no wonder, so were many other lodgings in Yuma, whoda thunk that in what appears to be the snowbird RV capital of the western world? The room, a king, was excellent, fridge, microwave, sink, great bath, and all the usual trappings that make a great stay. Got to say we are spoiled and like the king beds. It's like a newly enabled horizontal geography. Hotel and our room were very clean, so nice. Going through or even staying in Yuma Az. Do yourself a favor and get into this hotel. p.s. I really appreciate front counter staff that is just SO professional, meaning they anticipate the customers' needs and wishes. I'm sure there are better places but overall it's nice here. Three main things I look for in a good hotel: cleanliness, customer service, comfort. The hotel seems to be kept really clean, but more importantly the room was nice and clean. The beds and shower were very nice. The bed was pretty soft and my first night I got a great nights sleep. The bathroom and shower was great, the granite walls were a good touch that made it overall more pleasant. AND the good water pressure and hot shower was satisfying. In my room: two queen beds, table, 2 chairs, tv, resting bench, microwave, fridge, hair dryer, coffee maker and other traditional complimentary items as well as a nice view overlooking the far off mountains. Anything I have asked for got taken care of right away and I have not received any negativity from any of the staff. They have always been very nice and helpful, even held my bag for me at the front desk after it got lost at the airport and delivered. The restaurant downstairs is pretty decent, I'm pretty sure the burgers was bigger than my face and they basically have a full service bar. 5-7 beers on tap and a few shelves of liquor and the bartender was super friendly. The pool, while a little small, is heated and relaxing other than the highway that is nearby but it didn't bother us. My daughters loved it and with it being heated we were able to swim well before swimming season really started. The hot tub was HOT and there are towels down by the pool already so you don't have to bother asking the desk for more. Though all of the things I liked about the place seem to be expected, most of us that have been through a lot of hotels know that unfortunately they are few and far between. I have been very happy with my stay so far and still have 3 nights to go. If needed I'll be more than happy to revisit this facility. read more

Overall a very pleasant place to stay. They have a full kitchen and bar as well as sundries. Four floors and everyone was very friendly. There is a free shuttle that runs to the airport or can pick you up. In any case, the rooms were clean and everything was in order. I would seek to stay here again in the future. read more

We even went to the pool and everything. It was a neat hotel. I will say i don't think the breakfast area is open for free breakfast but that wasn't available which kind of stunk but, I know with COVID a lot is closed. Truly this Hotel was a hidden gem for us!! Yes, 1 Star. I reserved a room online and then called them to ask if they could give us a room near our friends rooms (2 other rooms). They said , yes, that our friends rooms was going to be on the 2nd floor so they were going to put us there as well. My friends room ended up being on the 4th floor and ours on the 2nd. Not even close! The second and biggest reason for a ONE STAR review is that we stayed there New Year's Eve so we needed all the sleep we could get after a long night. We put a DO NOT DISTURB sign on the door and housekeeping still had the gall to BANG ON OUR DOOR at 9am! Check out isn't until 11am!!! They woke us and our toddler and baby. What the heck is the sign for then???? So unprofessional! We visit Yuma often and we are never staying here again! Going to the Radisson where they don't give you unsolicited wake up calls by banging on your door. read more

The manager, Eddie, was very accommodating and understanding and, after a little research, was able to get me in! If I could give this hotel 0 stars, I would. They bait and switch you on the room rate (website says the rate is a "government rate", then the email says "government Canada rate"), refuse to honor what their employees say (that they'll honor the reserved rate because it's a "glitch" and the price is the same for US government. anyway, but then when you arrive they claim that the US government rate is $50 per night MORE than the Canada government rate), they lie constantly because no two employees have the same story or "policies" to follow, and every employee from the front desk agent to the general manager is extremely rude. They discriminate against US service members and their families. We have ALWAYS been loyal to the Holiday Inn brand, but after this experience I doubt we'll ever stay in another one. DO NOT STAY HERE, ESPECIALLY IF TRAVELING ON MILITARY ORDERS. read more

I had reservations at a different hotel but it was yucky, and ended up at the Holiday Inn. After a long day of travel and my not good experience at the other place, I was tired and cranky but the people at the desk managed to turn my frown upside down. They were so nice and empathetic, got me into a room at a decent price and told me about all the amenities of the hotel. My room was fantastic - clean, neat, comfortable and well equiped. The kitchenette area had a small fridge with 2 bottles of water, microwave, and coffee maker. The bathroom was good sized with an oversize tub. The king bed was comfortable with a pile of pillows (firm and soft). Air conditioning unit worked great and wasn't super noisy. The TV was nice, about a 40" flat screen but the remote had its moments. I couldn't have asked for a better stay - it was quiet (never heard anyone on the floor) and clean and relaxing. Being a member of the Holiday Inn frequent traveler program definitely has its perks - a free glass of wine or 2 beers nightly in the bar and $5 off breakfast daily. The location is nice, right off Pacific but the driveway isn't very well marked and was a little difficult to find in the dark. Close to the mall and the freeway. Will definitely be returning to this hotel my next time in Yuma! read more

The hotel is clean which is a huge plus. The front desk staff were friendly and polite. My main problem with this place is the air conditioning, they have wall units that are extremely loud. If you are running the AC at night, be prepared for a terrible nights sleep. For that reason alone I would not stay here again. read more

Walked in no reservation, Pros: Got a sweet military price on a first floor 2 queen bed room. (From $139 to 89) Pet policy is a fair 15$ dollars a day. Rooms are spacious, clean and what you expect for a Holiday Inn. Tons of parking near several entrance points makes loading and unloading easy. Restaraunt makes quality food and is quick about it. Provides easy payment by just adding bill to your room charge. All of the staff I've encountered have been very friendly. Cons: The fan in the shower doesn't work, so it gets muggy after a few showers and the AC unit has no in between, if it's in Auto it turns off almost immediately. So it's either On or Off. The power went out....which I imagine is not a common occurance. Also, no continental breakfast, only breakfast is at the hotel restaurant. Would stay here again. read more

My family has stayed here twice in the last year. It is marketed as "pet-friendly"; however, be cautious with your cats. The mattress extends over the box underneath by about a foot on either side, and there are large holes torn in the lining under the mattress. Discovered this after a 20 minute search when my cat slipped into one. Also had to unplug and reset tv to get it to function. Otherwise, very comfortable rooms, decent food from the small menu in the attached restaurant, nice outdoor pool/hot tub area and free cookies at the door! read more
