We have a Parson Russell Terrier, a breed that usually requires a groomer to hand strip the dogs…read morecoat. Since we have not been successful at finding a groomer in Salem that practices this technique, we've settled on groomers to "trim" our Parson instead. Our dog is 10 years old now, and through the years we've accepted the fact that each time she gets groomed she may come out looking like a Poodle, a Westie, or sometimes a Schnauzer. For a groomer to work with our dog, who has developed a soft fine coat, it's a challenge to know just what to do. Once Covid hit, we put a halt on visiting the groomer, and continued to bathe her ourselves. After 5 months, our dog took on the look of a miniature sheepdog. We attempted to trim her on our own, but ultimately realized that we needed a professional! In my search for groomers, Ashley's Pet Artistry was the only groomer that I found that addressed Covid-19 safety measures on their website. This was the most important factor for us. After learning about their careful commitment towards safety, I took notice of Ashley's accomplishments in various grooming styles and techniques, and decided to set up an appointment. With example pictures of what a Parson Russell is suppose to look like, Ashley nailed it! We've been back a second time since, and once again, our dog has a nicely tailored look! Our Parson is beyond the striping technique. But with Ashley's artistic skills, she was able to trim and shape our dog to look like her true breed! Hallelujah! Thank you Ashley!

Um, uh, yeah, the price is kind of a little high, but you know, for what you're getting, I have to say it's really good quality and my dog loved the items I got for him and everything else. Most places, when marche dogs move them, they grab holes in on these ones. So far they have yet to do, and they are just having a Hey day. So I want you to say thank you very much for being so nice and caring, and your place was very clean and respectful people working there

Look no further...Haylea is the best!…read more I am a big dog lover and have cared for six dogs over 30 years of my lifetime which has included using dog grooming services. When I say, look no further, it is because Haylea is one of the best I have ever worked with. First, and foremost, Haylea is a dog lover and that shows in all she does. She builds relationships with the dogs and truly enjoys their company while she is grooming them which gives them a great experience. They look forward to seeing her! She is a very talented groomer. She groomed my Mom's 12 year old Shih Tzu who had a heart health condition and who was also a big wiggle worm when it came to grooming. She was very careful to minimize the stress of grooming for the dog (which was important for this health condition) and was able to handle the difficult jobs including getting those nails trimmed. As a business owner, she is thorough, responsible and meets her commitments. Her intake process is very comprehensive. She gives a window when she will arrive and meets that commitment. She is proactive when there are scheduling issues and does not wait until the last minute. She is truly a joy to work with and I highly recommend her grooming services.

We love this place!…read more SO worth it not to have to clean up fur and wet dog smell in our apartment bathroom. I'm typically a cheap-o, so the $24-28 is on the "splurge" end of the spectrum for me. That being said, I find it worth it and I'm willing to pay that much. This weekend was our 3rd time here, and it was our best experience yet. The first time my dog was totally nervous and stressed and howled and scrambled all over the tub and wash area. The girls working helped me calm her and wrangle her into the tub like pros. This time, after having to lift her into the tub, one of the girls trimmed her nails (free with the wash!) and kept her calm and talked to her the whole time (unlike some places that just churn them through - petco). We did the wash and used some conditioner (also - someone wrote the water is too hot - it's got a faucet like a shower so you can make it as hot or cold as you like). I dried her off and the owner gave us a free bandana. She looked adorable! While we were there we saw two adorable dogs that had been groomed with bows in their hair! Love this place, and the employees!
