You don't need an appt, you can just walk in and browse but I highly recommend scheduling a consultation appt. Our consultant was Tatianya (sorry if I misspelled it) and she was AMAZING! She was so sweet, knowledgeable and just overall so kind and patient. As first time parents and no more in person baby stores (except for the few pottery barns, crate & kids and some department stores) we had so many questions about a lot of products. We really wanted to focus on strollers and car seats because that was the most important to us. We were able to see the various options and to even come to the conclusion of the exact ones we wanted! It was very easy and Tati was so helpful. We were able to look at pretty much every section for our registry, which I had built 80% before going but just needed a few of the bigger items to touch and handle in person. I highly recommend coming here to see the newest products and familiarizing yourself with them before purchasing or putting them on your registry.

I was a little skeptical as some reviews stated customer service was lacking, and there were no appointments for an assisted tour available for us to book on a weekend for over a month out. But we were impressed by the attentiveness and knowledge of the women that were working the floor. They answered all of our questions and offered suggestions for our needs. Upon arrival we were greeted and provided explanation on how the store worked and were asked which items we were most interested in looking at and were provided their locations in the building for easy viewing. There are multiple bathrooms and lactation rooms for guests, which is great for expectant and current mothers. There is also an elevator to access the second floor if you're unable to use the stairs or have a stroller etc. The best part of the visit was trying on the baby carriers with the different weighted baby dolls, as I had back surgery at a young age and was very unsure which harness would be comfortable on my back (especially with the added weight of a baby). I did only give 4 stars as we were all a little disappointed that you cannot buy anything in store. In addition I wish there was more selection and variety in some of the rooms, however all of the items we were most concerned about had plenty of options.

When I brought up, calmly, that this was confusing and they should fix it because I drove two hours to get to the store. The cashier said nothing. Not a "Aw geez, I'm sorry. I can understand your frustration and why that's confusing." I'm a reasonable person. I've worked in customer service all my life. The demeanor of the cashier alone has put me off from ever visiting this store again or recommending it. We went to Uppababy a few blocks down and they were SOOO kind that it completely made my day. All I needed was some kindness. To the owners of the Pump Station- the people using your website are most likely VERY tired moms. I personally am getting 3-4 hours of sleep a day. Tired moms need clear signage if something is in stock or not. Time is precious in this season of life. We also need KINDNESS. My body is broken and recovering from giving birth. I am exhausted! I came in fully prepared to purchase an $800 running stroller, but after that experience, I walked out without buying anything because I didn't want to give them my business. After reading the other reviews, it seems like this isn't an isolated incident. Management should really take a close look at the customer service here because you're losing customers who are ready to spend money.

My wife and I are expecting twins and after visiting many different stores looking at double strollers and joggers, we stumbled upon Traveling Tikes by accident. What a blessing!! The owner, Bryan, was incredibly friendly and very knowledgeable and spent over an hour with us showing us all the different options available and recommending what he thought would fit our lifestyle the best. The store is stocked with all the latest and greatest gear that all new parents need for bringing up their kids. The great thing about Bryan is that he not only has over 10 years of knowledge by virtue of owning Traveling Tikes, he's the father of a three year, which gives him a unique perspective on what products make the most sense for you. It's a great store and it was a great experience buying from them. We plan on coming back many times in the future as our twins grow up. Bravo to Bryan, and Traveling Tikes!!!! read more

Two stories packed full of a huge variety of Disney merchandise. My 3-year-old was in HEAVEN. Cool mirrors around the store where you can scan any toy and the character represented on that toy will "magically" appear in the mirror. My daughter didnt even care that we didnt buy anything cuz she had so much fun in the free color book corner, watching the movie that was playing and trying on the princess costumes that were for sale. The staff said it was fine for the children to try fancy costumes over their clothing and they were all VERY sweet and patient with the children (I hope the store pays them well, because they deserve it!) Yes, it was crazy crowded and I was really wishing I hadn't brought my stroller (rookie mistake!) but it was Time Square at Thanksgiving time so we expected it to be exhausting and intense but it was worth every moment. read more

Traveling Tikes saved the day! Even though I didn't purchase my stroller from them, the amazing folks at this wonderful baby store were more than willing to give me a tutorial on the complex workings of my Quiny. Despite being extremely busy, they made time to show me all the tricks, explaining things like removing the seat in a clear manner (curse you instruction manual). In short, I left their store pushing my fully functional stroller and feeling like I may actual be ready to be a father. Having experienced a variety of baby stores in the past 9 months, I can honestly say this is one of the best. Whether you have stroller issues, need help selecting the right buggy or any other baby product (there is so much stuff to get), there is no better place than Traveling Tikes. Thanks again guys! I want to thank Traveling Tikes, especially Michelle, for the extensive and thorough service she provided my family while purchasing a convertible carseat for my toddler. As many folks know, this process can be full of research, full of expenses, and full of unnecessary stress. This was my family's experience anyway, after conducting loads of research, purchasing a seat, having it installed, then having to return the seat because it ultimately wasn't the right fit for my kiddo. This experience at other, more corporate stores, might have been a nightmare, but with Michelle we received patience, kindness, expertise, and in the end, ease in the purchasing and returning process. My experience at Traveling Tike was fantastic. I went in there and the owner immediately greeted me and asked me what I was looking for. I explained to him that I need an all terrain stroller. He directed me the strollers and showed me a few. I saw the stroller I wanted, but not the color, and he went to his stock and pulled out a brand new red/gray City Mini GT and assembled it for me. He even showed me how to fold it and all the features that come with the stroller. They are extremely nice and very knowledgeable about strollers. I highly suggest going to Traveling Tikes if you're looking for a stroller. They have a great selection and if the stroller you want in the color you want isn't on the floor, they will order it for you. My daughter and I love the City Mini GT. read more

We bought a car seat here years ago, and after getting a new car, I came back in to make sure it was installed properly. Apparently, 80% of car seats are not installed properly, which can really endanger a child. They were extremely helpful and took the time to help me reinstall it, explained everything to me, and welcomed me to come in anytime I just wanted to have things checked. There was no charge, and they could not be more friendly and helpful. This is one of the huge advantages to buying from a local store that has been in business for decades instead of buying online. I'd been aware of this store for a while and always figured it was Korean-owned, as "eggy" sounds like the Korean word for "baby." This suspicion was confirmed when I met the owner a few years ago (I'm friends with her cousin, it turns out). I went for the first time last month, to exchange a gift from his Aunty Carol and Uncle Kevin: a soft, adorable sleeper that I wanted to get in a bigger size (they got him a really nice wooden dancing alligator toy too, also from Eggy). The sales lady was very helpful. She found the order and looked for the sleeper, but unfortunately, it didn't come in the size I needed. I returned the sleeper for store credit, which I immediately spent--and then some--and then some more--on a whole fall wardrobe for my son. The store was just so attractive, and so full of stylish, high quality clothes, I went full Pretty Woman on the baby boy racks. I pulled item after item (including a complete three-piece outfit as modeled by one of the little mannequins) and the sales lady brought me everything they had in my kid's size. At one point, I made her look at pictures of him and she--a woman who sells expensive children's clothes to L.A. parents!--said, "You're obsessed." I ended up buying a bunch of clothes, which I realized as I was leaving are likely to go on sale by the time my son is big/cold enough to wear them in a couple of months. My mother would be ashamed of me, but I couldn't resist, and I'll be back to Eggy to get more nice clothes for my beautiful boy.
