We went to tot squad to get help with our car seat installation and to install bases into our two vehicles. We know we could have gone to CHP or a fire station to do it but we heard that at tot squad they would walk you through the process and answer questions which I didn't really see happening with a CHP officer. Karen helped us out and was very patient and helpful. She first taught us about the Uppababy car seat and showed us how to put the baby inside of it and gave both me and my wife the opportunity to try it. Then we went to the cars and she taught us how to install it using the latches and the seatbelt. Both my wife and I got a chance to do it on our own with her watching on our own vehicles. I definitely could have read the manual or gone on youtube but Karen was very knowledgeable about a ton of baby products and answered our questions and put both of us as ease over the installation and how to use the car seats in our cars. After hearing rave reviews from so many friends, I was expecting the best from my visit to Tot Squad and they did not disappoint. Fast, thorough, friendly, informative, but most of all excellent at installing our seat properly. I went in to check to be sure our car seat was still installed properly after some backseat passengers accidentally messed with the back seat seatbelts. The lovely, very knowledgeable technician was literally sweating from working so hard to ensure my seat was in right. So... I brought in my Uppababy Vista for the "The Full Monty" cleaning package on Friday 8/31, which is their top of the line $99 cleaning package. The man who checked my stroller was very polite and helpful. I also met the young man who was about to clean the stroller. He was also a nice gentleman. Unfortunately, their stroller cleaning was NOT as top notch as their customer service. Below are the pictures of what i found after their "top of the line" service this afternoon. Their were tons of misses. I called back to tell them about the service and they apologized and want me to take the stroller back to them on Sunday, so that they may right their wrong. I will gladly update this review as soon as they give it their second chance this Sunday. ***UPDATE*** I brought my stroller in for a re-cleaning by Haley. She was amazing. I got the lotta-love stroller and car seat cleaning package and was highly satisfied with the customer service and results of the cleaning . It only took a couple hours to clean both and the car seat and stroller look brand new. I had it dropped off at a near by location . The only issue I had was that the car seat gave off a dewy smell that lingered a couple of days. I informed the tot squad team and they offered a free re-clean using different products and they even offered to pick it up and drop it off from my home so I wouldn't be inconvenienced . After the re-clean, the smell is completely gone. They also offer free reinstallation of car seats when you purchase a service . Can't say enough great things about the customer service. read more

Went to Tot Squad in Sherman Oaks hoping they could help me. The best news is they also clean BACKPACKs. Brought mine in and they made the outside look like new. I have been wearing the same pack for over four years, through all manner of airplanes (UCK!) and various office floors. It so needed the TLC and now it is germ-free and CLEAN! Where were they when my kids were still around? Their backpacks were the worst and I would have gladly paid to have them cleaned. Called when they open and got same day appointment, for my bob double stroller. It was covered with food and pee from my toddler in potty training. Only took two hours but I left it over night since I didn't need it. The time frame doesn't include drying time and they let the strollers air dry. When I came and picked it up the next day it literally looked brand new. My husband was even shocked after he saw how clean it was. I look forward to using their services in the future. Such a great place! When we were expecting our first, we had received a gift certificate for car seat installation. We learned so much from that, and went home with a perfectly installed infant car seat. A few months later, I returned to them because of a twisted strap that I just could not untangle/figure out. Signed up to get car seat safety inspected/adjusted and made reservations. Decided not to do it, and tried to cancel. Cancellation charge? $20 (actual cost of the service was $35). So figured since it cost ~60% of the price to cancel, might as well do it. This was the inspection: he looked at it, shook it and and said, "looks good". Seriously, that was it. The inspection literally took about 15 seconds. x2 for both cars. And $60. I went back to look at the website, and it says that the safety inspection takes 30 minutes. Which is why we had two cars scheduled 30 minutes apart. Yeah right. What a ridiculous waste of time and money. I would use the word "SCAM" to describe this, actually. pro tip: go to CHP and sign up for appt. They take about 30 min going through all the safety and installation concerns. Unbelieveably thorough. I had a car seat that needed the cover put back on bc lol i could not do it and this is not a usual service they offer a la carte but, they made it happen. They got the impossible cover on and checked to make sure my seat was installed correctly. The girl that helped me was wonderful. So sweet, on a mission to not let me leave unsatisfied. There was a mix-up with payment, which she did not even allow me to stress about for one second and told me she will deal with it later with her supervisor so I could be on my way. This is a little overdue but I had a wonderful experience with the Tot Squad! I was able to book a same day car seat inspection at their Sherman Oaks location. Everyone I came in contact with was helpful from the person I spoke to on the phone to the gentleman who handled our inspection. Not only did he inspect the car seat but he showed us how to properly install it and answered all our questions thoroughly. I think his name was Adam but I could be wrong??? Wish I remembered. I have come here twice, to get a stroller and two car seats cleaned, and I have received uneven service. My stroller was cleaned well but small essential plastic pieces were missing when I picked it up, and I had to buy more. One car seat was cleaned poorly. The other car seat was cleaned well but was soaking wet for 4 days! One car seat was installed well and quickly. The other car seat I chose to install myself because the woman working that day told me she doesn't know how to use the Latch system and just buckles in the carseat using the seatbelt. I had a wonderful experience yesterday at Tot Squad. I needed to make sure that my brand new Nuna Rava car seat was properly installed before l used it to take my granddaughter to pre-school. They not only checked to make sure it was properly installed, they also showed me what to do if I needed to re-do it later. We also went over a check list of other very important details and when I asked for a copy of this list they emailed it to me.
