She first taught us about the Uppababy car seat and showed us how to put the baby inside of it and gave both me and my wife the opportunity to try it. Then we went to the cars and she taught us how to install it using the latches and the seatbelt. Both my wife and I got a chance to do it on our own with her watching on our own vehicles. I definitely could have read the manual or gone on youtube but Karen was very knowledgeable about a ton of baby products and answered our questions and put both of us as ease over the installation and how to use the car seats in our cars. We communicated via phone and email on several occasions- up until the day before pick up (scheduled for the morning I was traveling to the shower). All was perfect up to that point. However, on the date and time scheduled to pick up the cake, she was not there. I called, texted, and emailed multiple times. I was at her apartment for over 30 minutes, concerned, confused and then angry. I was left cake-less. My only explanation for her horrible behavior would be some sort of illness. Still, it's been over a week and still no word from her. To me, that is just unexceptable. I just hope this doesn't happen to anyone else. I was up till 2:00 am making my own diaper cake. Thankfully she didn't take my money upfront. I was extremely hopeful after reading all the fantastic reviews and seeing her lovely photos.
