Other positive points: - Much closer to me, in northeast Naperville - Very nice young lady wrote up my work order, took literally 2 minutes - Quoted 1-3 days turnaround; talk about *fast*! - Extremely reasonable repair rates I've been to other places with horrible attitudes, outrageous prices, and lengthy delays. From the very first call to setup and subsequent pickup of the tent, chairs, linens, etc... after the event... Everything was flawless. Chris and his team had it all covered from start to finish. A few things to note since this was being setup in a back yard of a home... -They use barrels of water to secure the tent if spikes are out of the question. This did matter since some competitors use cement blocks that we did NOT want transported over grass for fear of "ruts". As it turns out we did not need weights so it was a moot point but again could have been an issue with competitors. -They will place the order for underground location of utilities (Julie). We jumped the gun and placed the order with JULIE ourselves, but this is part of their standard operating procedure when needed. All equipment was clean and in perfect condition, delivered. and picked up on time. All instructions communicated clearly and concisely. The crew…read moreforgot one of my fill n chill tables and didn't set up the chairs, but told me they'd be back at 9am with the table and to set up the 48 chairs before my party. Well, they never showed up the next day and after texts and phone calls to the company nobody had the decency to get back to me, and they never showed up. The next day, I received a $50 credit via Zelle, but still nobody bothered to contact me to apologize. I thought that was strange, would think a company would want to follow up when something goes wrong on their end, but I was happy they at least gave me a little money back. BUT THEN, when the crew arrived to take down the tent and tables, I watched one of the crew members drag two large garbage cans that we also rented from them over to where we had all of our coolers from the party and started tossing beers into the trash can to take with him. I was in shock. I opened my door to tell him he couldn't take those and he said he didn't foresee it being a problem, that he was 21. I told him that didn't matter, that he was stealing. I told him it's not like he was taking a couple bottles of water for the crew, which would have absolutely been fine, it was alcohol and obviously more expensive than water. He said ok, he didn't think it was a problem, that other people don't mind. I let him know that I minded, he was sneaky about it and didn't ask, he just started tossing them in the can to take. He said other people didn't mind, and it's likely because they didn't know he took it. Big bummer, because the products I ordered were good, but that one kid made the company look bad. I gave them three stars, taking 2 off for never showing up the next day and for the kid trying to steal beer.

We were on the hunt for a one stop shop for decor for a small backyard party during Covid-19:…read morelights, furniture, rugs, pillows, etc. This turns out it's harder to find than I expected unless you go with the big time players like Kehoe that was a bit pricier than I wanted for this particular party. I loved the rustic look of the furniture Elegant had and their prices were better than most. While they didn't have any rugs or pillows to rent (sigh), their wine barrels were perfection to use as high boys and ended up getting a bunch of their low benches to put together as low tables (to use with floor seating). And they were also able to provide lights for my backyard. While every other vendor told me that postposting due to rain or Covid-19 wasn't an option (say whaaa?) I also liked that they were flexible. The main issue was that getting ahold of them was extremely difficult. If the Yelp reviews didn't give me faith that they'd show in time fo the bash I would have been extremely worried. It took a lot of stalking for both me and my party planner to get a contract, pay for the contract and a date to set everything up. There is an emergency # and found that we had better luck when we called the emergency #. They set everything up a few days in advance so I didn't worry too much about them being a no show. I let them know they needed to come at 7am to get it all done since I was headed out for a busy day and they showed up even a few minutes early. An hour later my yard was lit up beautifully and I was really happy with the look of the furniture for the price. They set it all up on a Thursday morning and said they would be back on Monday to pick it up (also prompt for pick up) so we got to enjoy a long weekend of beautiful lights. While the service leading up to the event wasn't the best, I'd probably still use them since it was smoothly the weekend of the event. However, I'd hope they would be more on top of their communication next time.
