The man who runs the Travel Posters stall in St George's market is the most knowledgeable man ever. He's like an encyclopaedia of facts about Northern Ireland. As I was browsing his stall he came over to me and asked me was I interested in the Framed poster of Bangor I was looking at, we then got engaged in a discussion for around 20 minutes - he told me about his past designing shop fronts and running art galleries and then we got on to his current business Travel Posters.
They frame and reprint old and new posters designs - the type of thing you'd see hanging in a typical Irish pub. This style of poster has also become extremely popular in home decoration and a few bits on the stall would make great souvenirs for tourists visiting Belfast. They have a really good website that allows you to browse the whole range but if I were you I would head down to the market some weekend to catch the owner - unfortunately I didn't catch his name but I'm sure if you are browsing his goods he'll be straight over. read more
