I like this little shop as I find the array of collectibles, art and jewellery very interesting.
As you would expect the shop stocks a mixture of oil, watercolour and acrylic painting by artists from the local area. Some really amazing paintings and mostly depicting local historical buildings or landmarks. There are also quite a few really stunning paintings incorporating the sea and the local townspeople. If I had a few hundred pounds to spend on art i would go here to buy it. The pieces are mostly very traditional though there are one or two contemporary pieces that would not seem out of place in one of the bigger more modern art galleries in Belfast city centre.
I also like this shop as the owner is a character, he will chat to everyone and anyone who comes into the shop and by no means makes you feel under pressure to buy. He is full of charm and even gave me some handy tips about getting my own wee art collection off the ground.
If you are looking for a nice piece of art work or a real vintage piece of jewellery this is a good place to go though it is not cheap but you do get what you pay for. read more
